Starry Night Sky Make up! (Sleek Vintage Romance palette)

Happy holidays everybody! I'm so glad that so many of you have had the time to read my posts and leave me sweet comments! I've been trying to get around to everyone's festive blog posts as well! This look was done two nights ago when I was meant to meet my boyfriend for dinner, at the last minute he had to work a bit longer. So... I ended up waiting for him at home and made him a home made meat ball burger!

I decided to pull out my Sleek Vintage Romance palette (my review here) and try out some different colors for a more complex, colorful and smokey look! Paired with a blue eyeliner I've meant to use for a long time! Check out my first look with the palette here!

Christmas Lunch at Petit Paradis! (mini haul)

Tasty eats at Petit Paradis! Hiya ladies! So the last few days have been very well spent with my boyfriend and I am very glad that I ended up not traveling this week as my mother has really spent the time helping my grandma move and I managed to spend so much time with my baby!

We had a late Christmas Eve dinner together as my last post shows and the next day we met up for a delicious lunch of classic modern french fare at the shop called Petit Paradis at East Coast!

Christmas Eve make up and dinner!

This was my December 24th! Since this whole week is my school and work break week, I've spent most days home, meeting up with my boyfriend or helping my mom out with my grandma moving houses. I met up with him after his work and we had a late dinner at about 9:30 at a neat riverside cafe called 'Merry Men" on Christmas Eve.

For my make up, I simply thought I wanted some drama, some glitter and some smokiness and so I grabbed my favorite Sleek Oh So Special palette and came up with a blend of all these traits!

Rave Review: Sleek True Colour Sheen Lipsticks in Barely There and Coral Reef!

True colour lipstick from Sleek! Happy boxing day everybody! It's a great busy day most places around the world but I've stayed home, helped my grandmother move home as well as doing some sorting out at her old place. I had past through downtown yesterday with my boyfriend and parts of Orchard Road were closed and it looked like there was no where to even walk!

I've decided to lay off shopping in town until tomorrow or the end of this week! I'm really trying not to buy too much but I really want to go down to at least La Senza for some sexy panties and just a quick browse through the shops in town for easy to wear dresses! That's all on my list!

First Berry Lip for December!

Berry pink lips! Oh it's taken me a quite to post this! Earlier on this month I wore my first darker toned bold berry pink lip this month! I created this lip with a lip pencil and my new favorite lipgloss from Etude House!

Almost three weeks ago my hot pink digital Cannon Ixux decided to die, also with the help of my clumsy hands trying to fix slight lens problems I ended up helping it die after serving me so well for almost 4 years! Here all the photos have been taken with my HTC One phone!

Last Quarter Skincare 2013: What I'm using right now!

My basic skincare items! Hello ladies, my blog has always meant to be more beauty oriented and it's not really my habit to talk about my haircare or skin care. However I received an e-mail from a teenage reader of mine who came across my blog who asked about some skincare help and after replying her I realized that I should now and again show you ladies what I'm using or the types of things I'd reach for!

These are just an array of products I would use in my routine, I don't use all at the same time or only just use singular products by themselves. I'm always switching up or alternating between two in each category because of the change in condition of my skin during the month. Remember to give 4-6 weeks to be able to tell how the product is contributing to any improvements. Unless your skin gets irritated or reacts negatively very quickly!

Continue below for the skincare overview!

Year End Hair Cut!

Hair cut time! I'm very simple, lazy and laid back when it comes to my hair. I have very thick and long dark hair. It's naturally very heavy and not the smoothest or silkiest. I wash my hair everyday and condition the tips every day as well with occasional hair masks every other week or so.

My boyfriend and I were in need of a hair cut or at a trim really after not getting our trim for more than 3 months! The last time we both got our trims were also together so on a spur of the moment feeling we both got our hair cuts together!

Rave Review: Etude House Dear My Crystal Gloss! (Sparkling Violet and Shimmering Rose Pink)

Dear My Crystal Gloss! Set your eyes on my newest, most favorite and 'Holy Grail' lipgloss! I came across this while browsing through Etude House last month. I was there to buy things for someone else but I ended up purchasing these two for myself because I loved the colors.

They are full of micro shimmer and seemed so smooth and moist. On my arm, I loved the two shades and since they didn't seem sticky I felt confident getting both for my always dry lips. Not to mention that these are even cheaper than maybelline, l'oreal and revlon lip glosses here in Singapore! I have not regretted anything about these amazing glosses so far!

My friend Charles!

Day out with with Charles! After about a year or not meeting up although we're both in Singapore, my friend and ex-colleague Charles and finally found time to meet up for an afternoon in town!

We used to work at Universal Studios on Sentosa Island and we both were at the Transformer Supply Vault store. We met up around late November last year and finally after both being very busy, me with school and work and him with compulsory Army service we found time for an afternoon out!

Review: Boots Caribbean Cocktail Barbados Body Wash in Watermelon & Mango!

Wash in a Caribbean Cocktail! While on my fantastic one week holiday two months ago in Bangkok, Thailand my mother and I raided....like completely RAIDED Boots and got a huge bag load of skincare, hair care and a few make up bits. This body wash and several others from their own body wash line were sooo tempting! I picked up this one and another scent and now I sort of regret not buying more as they were all 50%!

Collective haul: Drugstore make up, accessories and skincare!

November collective drugstore haul! Okay, I have to admit, the last two months have been good in spending and yet BAD in spending! I didn't buy anything for myself for a long time until I had to go and buy some things for a swap which tempted me and then my mom offered to go shopping which I couldn't say no to.

I promised though that I would get more necessary things, more basic skincare, hair care and make up items. I'm not buying ten shades of a new lipgloss or indulging in any new palettes! This is the year end and I have really cleared a lot of things out and replacing certain things are needed...I guess!

Beautiful Thai Indonesian Dinner at Bumbu Restaurant! (Meeting an old friend)

Feast at Bumbu Thai Indonesian Restaurant! Food! Who doesn't love food and who doesn't love tasy, appetizing fresh dishes! A new gem find is Bumbu Restaurant here in Singapore! It serves Thai and Indonesian cuisine, they have a menu where you pay one price and can order a certain number of dishes at a time and order more if you finish them! It's called the 'buffet' menu but the food is served like a la carte dishes!

Together with my family, we went to one of their newer outlets near Farrer Road. This outlet is on the second level of an apartment complex, it's a level with other restaurants, tuition shops and little shops.

Browns: cheeks and lips! (Bourjois Santal Revlon Brown Sugar)

Browned cheeks and lips! So many of us think brown is only a shade for the eyes, brows or maybe for bronzing and contouring but yet it can be a very wearable shade for the cheeks and the lips!

With the right tone and shade, browns can really be a bold shade on the lips or a wearable nude. I love warm blushes, brown with other soft pink or coral tones that make your cheeks naturally flushed as well as contoured!

My Flawless Face

Good Evening ladies! Who doesn't want a 'flawless' look? I sure love doing looks that come off as effortless, flawless and nothing more than a step above natural beauty. I find that shades in the neutral range, some shimmer, a blushed cheek and the emphasis in the eyes always are the factors in building your own 'flawless' look.

This is my flawless face look when I want something simple and beautiful, it can and should match any outfit or occasion and is a joy to do every time because it's so easy and pretty!

Empties for the past 3 months!

Mega empties post!  For about the last 3 or 4 months I've been gathering up bunches and bunches of products I've been using up or tossing out.

I tend to go through hair products like shampoo and conditioners the most as I've got long thick hair and use quite a lot. I also use pressed powders up regularly and usually finish one refill a month!

Special 350th post: French food at Petit Paradis and home smoked pork ribs!

Good eats at Petit Paradis! Welcome ladies to something many of us (hopefully) love to do, eating! I treasure meals with loved ones as it's really time we get to spend together after many hours or days not seeing each other! I had wanted to try this little coffee shop outlet which sold french food at East Coast! It's near my boyfriend's home and so recently we went there for lunch!

This post marks happy 350th post since the start of my blogging days here on blogger! I am proud to announce that excluding a few posts which I deleted a while ago this is my 350th published post! I started blogging in April 2011, I posted only one time that month. I only really started regularly posting from the next month onwards until now.

Every single one of my subscribers (except an old school friend and my best friend) are strangers! I've never followed for a follow, ever. I want those who follow me to really do so because my content interest them. If you've followed me because I've followed you, feel free to stop if my content isn't what you like reading. I like saying that my current small but strong following is very genuine.

Rave Review: Kiko Sun Bronzing Blush in 101 Crystal Rose! (Limited Edition)

Bronzing Blush! This was gifted to me in a beauty swap I did with Pam from Jade in the Palace beauty blog a few months ago! I did not ask for this particular item (nor neither for all the goodies and samples she included) but I believe due to Pam knowing my taste in blush shades and asking for products from Kiko she picked up this beautiful Limited Edition blush!

Check out the beauty swap I did most recently with (Pam here)! Link to her blog here!

Rave Review: Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation in 53 Light Beige!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum! I'm sure by now almost all or most of you ladies have heard or came across Bourjois famous foundation? They are very well known for their Healthy Mix and Healthy Mix Serum foundations. They are suppose to be dupes in terms of quality and consistency of Chanel's Vita Lumiere foundation.

Bourjois is a sister brand of Chanel, hence packaging, scents, colors and so on tend to be similar like how their blush is packaged in both brands as well as the products being rosey scented! Check out my review of the (Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation here!) Check out my overview of(their blushes here!)

First look: Sleek's Vintage Romance palette! (Japanese lunch)

Welcome Decadent December! That's what I love to think about the last month of the year! Full of generosity, gifts, food, fun time spent with family and friends. All this irregardless of whether or not you are religious. I don't see how many 'traditional' holidays are any longer truly celebrated for their actual purposes.

Holidays and occasions now are more loosely celebrated and are meant to be times for everyone to have a chance to relax and love life a bit more and I prefer it like that. I am not religious at all and if that bothers anybody, I'm not sorry. We are all entitled to our reasons with justifications and I'm very happy without any faith!

FOTD: Princess Pink eyes using Kiko Color Shock!

Princess Pink Pop! Here's a super feminine, girly and easy look using one of my new Kiko color shock longwearing eyeshadows which I received in a generous swap with Pam from Jade in the Palace beauty blog!

Check out the beauty swap I did with (Pam here!) And my first ever blogger meet up with her earlier this year (here in Singapore!)

My typical 'flawless' and 'to go' look is usually some neutrals, always shimmery with some depth and rosy cheek but one day I wanted some pink! I reached out for the super creamy kiko eyeshadow and came up with this!

Bangkok holiday haul: Dresses, tops, bags sandals and heels!

Bangkok holiday clothes haul! For those of you who have followed and read the last month, I was in Bangkok for a week in October on my school break! I ate, walked and shopped a ton with my mother and it was a well deserved break! I took lots of photos of our meals so if you missed out, check out my (Bangkok Holiday post here!)

If you are a lover of make up hauls and interested in seeing what I got at Boots, Beautrium, Karmart and Beauty Buffet in Bangkok, (check out my post here!) I really didn't get much clothes because although things are cheap, I much rather buy smaller things than a whole load of cheap clothes that I mostly can't try on!

Satay lunch and scrumptious cheesecake! Some weeks ago my boyfriend took my out to walk around at the famous Gardens by the Bay man made garden domes filled with several hundreds of species of plants and they two domes are two climates. However it rained that day and we didn't go into the domes, we just walked a bit around the outside gardens which is free and we went to find the food center near by to have lunch!

Review: Catrice Defining Blush single in 060 Rosewood Forest!

Rosewood lover! Hey ladies! This has been a long week, a six day week at work which isn't ending until thursday this week. Count that and I'm going on working 10 days without rest.I'm at least grateful that the section I'm working in at my internship site is not too laborious and physically exhausting!

Heads up to some of my favorite blushes now of all time. The defining singles from Catrice have won me over. I bought one shade for a start, Rose Royce (my review here!) which is now one of my top blushes, a beautiful slightly coral rose shade and then since then I've went back and picked up 3 more shades!

Fall smokey forest green eyes! (Bourjois Smoky eyes trio)

Smokey foresty green! Oh the 'fall' season is almost over! Here's the first of my darker colorful fall/winter year end looks! I was reorganizing my make up collection when I came across a Bourjois smoky color trio which I bought a while back when I used to live in Cambodia.

I love the thought of darker but yet colorful, strong, bold shades when I think of festive inspired looks. The trio is very smokey and cool toned shades which I used together for this foresty green look.

Day out: To the SEA Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa!

Biggest Aquarium in South East Asia! Take a (very very long walk) through the biggest Aquarium in SE Asia at Resorts World S.E.A. Aquarium! It's a amazing stop for both locals and tourist, definitely a great place, bigger than most aquarium/water world type aquatic parks in asia it holds the biggest single viewing panel and has over 800 species of marine animals!

My boyfriend and I both hadn't visited the aquarium before and decided to check it out, there was so much to see and it takes you at least 2 hours to walk through the whole thing, longer if you take photos and read descriptions and line up to touch start fishes! (all of which I did of course!)

Review: Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks in 7 shades!

Sensational lipsticks? The Maybelline line of Sensational color lipsticks have really been quite a great wider range of shades here in Singapore where we only get maybe about less than 50% of the full range of permanent items compared to the US or UK.

Being someone who really really wants to love wearing lip colors, lipsticks seemed like the way to go since I'm not scared of any colors but more weary of finishes that might make my drier lips look and feel bad.I did not pick these all up at once but more of like two or three at a time when there were promotions! Not the biggest fan of lip products in general but I've found some colors and formulas that I love in this line.

FOTD: Signature Navy liner, rosy cheek and German Dinner!

My Signature look! If there's such a thing as a look you tend to do when you want to be flawless or something you just love doing when you're not doing something out of the routine, I'd like to call that a 'signature look'. My signature is usually a shimmery neutral eye with winged eyeliner and a rosy cheek!

I have so many blushes of a 'rosy' shade but this one which was gifted to me in a swap with Pam from JadeinthePalace beauty blog is by far my holy grail of rosy blushes!

FOTD: Sweetie pie eyes and meeting up with a friend!

Sweetie pie eyes! Having finally got my make up greedy hands on Sleek's Oh So Special Palette (my full review here!) I've been using it many times over! It has an amazing range of shades for what I think is a sweet to glamorous neutral palette with a gunmetal, purple, matte black and pinks!

I met up with an old school friend which shares the same love of eating and gaming (although she games almost all the time like how I blog all the time!) We enjoy counterstrike together but it's been a while and she's not in the country!

Pots of gorgeous creme shadows! Ladies behold your sparkling pretty eyes! These two precious pots of shadows are my latest cream shadows to my collection! Rave Review: Coastal Scents Smokey Palette! (looks included)

Colorful Smokey Palette! I do not own anything from Coastal Scents except this beautiful colorful smokey palette! I wanted this two years ago when I first found it online browsing and finally picked it up at the start of this year at a booth beauty sale that sold NYX, Coastal Scents and ELF make up. These products are not found in Singapore but is being imported by a lady running a blog, wholesale, online make up store 'Smoochiezz'.

For the price I pay in Singapore, although it's a lot more than what you'd pay in the US this is so worth it! Most eyeshadow quads from Revlon, Maybelline and L'oreal cost at least $20 singapore dollars and I got this for around $50!

Day out to the Art Science Museum! Once in a while my boyfriend and I will try to visit places like the Art Science museum when there's an interesting exhibition being shown. The most recent one which is currently still going on at the Art Science Museum by The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is a Mummy one!

I didn't take any photos of course, as you aren't allowed to however here's the look I did for the day, some photos of us and a homemade pork stew I made a few days later!

Special: Beauty Swap with 'Jade in the Palace'!

Beauty Blogger Swap! Hello all! I'm so excited for November, there's so much happening, I'm planning out every free day of time to see people and get things done! I did a beauty swap with the loveliest Pam from ("Jade in the Palace" beauty blog) and our packages arrived during mid-september! Mine took a bit longer to get to her but hers got to me very quickly!

I wasn't expecting so much in the pacakage as although we agreed to spend a certain amount we did include more things for each other, however I think Pam went all out and got me so much more! So many lovely sample sized products and lovely bits and bobs!

Check out Pam's post on (our swap here!)

Fall inspired rusty eye look! (using NYX trio in Golden, Rust, Walnut Bronze)

Rust and old gold! Those are the kinds of shades besides a good deep olive green, navy, mauve taupe and earth tones that come to mind when I think of fall and winter colors for make up looks! It doesn't make a difference in terms of weather here in Singapore though, it's still damn hot and humid and rainy now!

I used this trio from NYX two years ago for a Christmas look however my skill then was not as good as it is now. My placement, blending and overall look I believe is an improvement! I only realized I used this trio before in a similar way after doing this look!

Review: Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Conditioner!

Glad Hair Day! Let's make this a quick sweet review! I go through so many shampoos and conditioners but I rotate between my favorites, usually different ones from Herbal Essence, Pantene, Dove, TheBodyShop and other asian brands. I really lust after every single product in the Soap & Glory skincare range but so far this is the only thing I picked up from them.

I picked this tube up in store and sniffed it and OH MY, it smells so fresh, sweet and light...just what I want my hair to smell like!

Review: Sasatinnie HD Hydro Matte 2 way cake SPF 25 in 03 Honey!

Powder me in 03 Honey! Being a major user of pressed powders on a daily basis, I decided to pick this up at Sasa two months ago. It's from their own range of make up called "Sasatinnie" which has a really great variety of make up products.

This powder came in 3 shades but I picked up the third, most yellow one which I find matched my neck the best.

Day to the Beach: To the beach with a new bikini!

Brief break at the beach! For those of you who aren't aware...I LOVE the beach. Just being there for an hour is good enough. Unfortunately when my boyfriend and I got the chance to visit a while ago, it started getting cloudy and dark just about less than a hour of arriving!

We did have a fun time in the shallow water and had burgers for lunch! I love the beach, no matter where in the world. Can't wait to head back after they reopen the renovated food court!

Sasatinnie blushie! Before I go ahead and post yet another crazy photo heavy haul from my Bangkok break here's a quick and sweet review of two blushes I picked up from Sasa which I eventually gifted my mother and grandmother with!

When I picked these up, I had Sasa vouchers to spend after being sent them for my birthday month of August. I was going to get another two of their eye brushes but when I saw these blushes and swatched them I just had to pick these up instead!

Special October 2013: Holiday break in Bangkok! (Photo heavy!)

Happy holiday break in Bangkok,Thailand! Being part of a school course with no typical long holiday breaks like a few weeks or a month at a time, our first official long school break was a bit longer than a week and I took the chance and booked to go to Bangkok with my mother!

I've been back in Singapore now for a bit longer than a week now and I already miss the crazy city streets and delicious thai food there! We raided boots, had lots of food and we shopped a ton!

Rave Review: Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Flash 662!

Dior Addict? Haha! I'm definitely not a Dior Addict although I was sooo close to buying a travel palette in Bangkok's Duty Free section! This lip gloss was purchased with my mom some time back. All of my lip glosses from them are from at least 2 years ago but they are still good and working just fine!

FOTD: Bold teal and limey green!

Bold and (mostly) blue! I know, I know...I just realized that every time I usually do bold colorful eye looks I don't blend out the color where I want it to stop, I just try my best to leave a clean cut off of color. I don't know...I think I need to try the blending thing with color for a more refined look! Oh well, more brushes to wash!

I did this look more than 2 months ago when I met up with two girl friends of mine for a lunch meeting. One was visiting and the other is still in Singapore as of now so it was so lovely to meet up for the lunch. We don't know when we'll all be together again!

Mexican Dinner Date night at Cafe Iguana!

Hola ma Chicas! I finally had proper Mexicano food! I've honestly never had proper 'mexican' food besides corn chips! When my boyfriend found out he told me he had to bring me to an authentic Mexican cafe downtown by the Singapore River! It's called Cafe Iguana!

Are you a Shady Lady? Check out my ladies! I hope most of you have heard of the brand theBalm by now! I've tried quite a variety of products from them, their tinted moisturize, eyeshadow, blush, liquid concealer and so on and this is one of the best ones from them. Their single Shady Lady shadows are limited in color but you can check out the palettes if you want more!

Delicious casual French at Poulet and home made Guo Tie dumplings!

Poulet on a plate! I finally got the chance to share a really yummy lunch with my mother and boyfriend at the restaurant outlet Poulet here in Vivocity shopping center in Singapore! It's known for their chicken or 'poulet' and also for being very affordable casual french bistro fare! It did not disappoint!

I also on the same evening made hand made gou tie or pot stickers dumplings. I know them as pan fried dumplings, but we made everything, the filling and wrapping from scratch!

Rave review: Couleur Inc. 2-way Cake foundation powder in Natural 02!

2 way cake for me! I've always been a fan of a matte natural finish to my face. Due to my slight oilier skin, I like powder, I LOVE powder! I always love to finish my face with a dusting or 'packing' of heavier foundation pressed powder. My holy grail is by ZA and this is coming up behind it at only half the price!
