Date night: Teal smokey eyes and thin crust pizzas at Alt Pizza!

Date night with pizza! For those who didn't know pizza isn't a 'cheap' food here in Singapore...not at all! Even take away pizza meals for 2 could buy you a casual restaurant meal. That plus considering the huge variety of local foods in Singapore being available very cheaply at hawker center and food courts, pizza isn't eaten very often by most folk here. Pizza companies and authentic Italian pizza places have grown in numbers the last many years and it's very easy to find places all over Singapore making pizza properly and in different styles too!

My boyfriend had tried a pizza joint called "Alt Pizza" which his family sometime ago and with his recommendation we headed there for dinner!

Mytical purple eyes with teal eyeliner!

Purple and teal! There are pretty much three shades of eyeliner that I love, black, dark brown and teal! Teal and turqoise for some reason is my favorite shade of blue. I could wear navy or teal eyeliner literally all the time. I find that blue tones are so complimentary to brown eyes and just look smoldering without being so dark like eyes completely rimmed with black. This eyeliner from L'oreal was purchased some time back but I've absolutely loved it and use it on my waterline whenever I feel like going for a pop of color without extra shadows.

Special: My Grandma's 81st Chinese Vegetarian Birthday Dinner!

Bold make up and delicious vegetarian food! This post is sooooo late! It's from last July when my family had a delicious chinese vegetarian dinner for my grandma's birthday. Her birthday fell on a friday which is a day every week that she takes fully vegetarian so we ended up eating at a popular vegetarian restaurant in town. Some of the dishes were so good I still can't stop thinking about them and would love to go back to have them again.

Since this dinner was for a special occasion I wore a new blue and white cheongsam inspired dress and matched it with a simple blue smokey eye!

Blue to Green gradient eyes and lunch at Spruce Phoenix Park!

New friends, food and fun! This post is actually very very late as the gorgeous lunch session you're about to see took places several months back in May. It was to be the first of many more meet ups with my lovely girlfriend who I got to know from work. It's an unlikely thing for a personality like myself to come across any girls who are similar in the sense that I can literally talk non-stop (except when I'm eating and no present) especially when it comes to topics and opinions that jive with me. This lovely gal I met through my work place and since this first proper meet up outside of work, we've formed a good friendship also with two other gal pals at work and all four of us try to meet up with each other whenever we can!

Here we met up with another ex-colleague at his new work place at the time, Spruce restaurant which is a very well to do eatery that has a few outlets in Singapore. Their menu is small, of great quality and the ambience is just fantastic! Of course we also had great conversation which at the time I hadn't had a in LONG ASS WHILE!

Peacock feather inspired makeup and a Korean dinner with ex-classmates!

Peacock eyes and delicious Korean fried chicken! For those who didn't know, I love love the color scheme of peacock feathers and mermaid's tails! I love jewel tones especially when it comes to blues, purples and teals! If I could I'd wear those colors all the time on my eyes but since I can't I do pull them out on special occasions or times when I've got the extra time to invest in a fancier eye look!

On this occasion I met up with some ex-classmates for the biggest gathering we've had since we all went our own ways last year! Our class compromised of just under twenty people but quite a few of them are either always very busy with work or aren't in the country. We all visited an ex-classmates' newly opened restaurant here in Singapore called, "Twins". His twin brother and himself are korean and their place has a menu of various korean style fried chicken and other popular dishes!

Smoky Army Green Eyes using Bourjois! (Smoky baked trio)

Smoky shimmery army green! When it comes to dressing up and making my dark brown eyes pop I tend to lean to blues and greens. For this look, I was wearing a pair of hazel lenses out for the day and reached for my old bourjois smoky trio to achieve this easy gradient green look! For those who are not sure how to create a blended, smoky type eye look, buying shadows in trios or quads meant to achieve this effect is a great way to start and practice.

Despite telling myself that I really shouldn't be buying anymore eyeshadows before I use up at least one or two, I really may get another trio or two from Bourjois! These smoky eye trios really make for the most easy and pretty eye looks in no time!

Pastel berry toned eyes with creamy pink lips!

Pastel hues and a creamy pink lip! Unlike those in places with four seasons and weather that's more temperate, here in sunny always hot Singapore there's no real shift of seasons or change of weather! Hence I dress the same all year round and wear all kinds of colors all year round without any sense of my choice of colors having to go with a certain time of the year!

Currently it's getting to the hottest and also wettest part of the year and I've had to switch over to gel eyeliners and a thick layer of powder in order to keep my make up looking good all day long. This pretty pastel looking look was done a few months back when I picked up my Sleek i-divine Candy palette and wanted to do a blue/pink/purple look!

Sexy Smoked Navy Blue eyes! (Japanese Ramen lunch)

Sexy, smoked and blue! Although I do love trying out lots of colors, combinations of colors and such when it comes to eye make up I always go back to blue when I want something that's edgy, darker and sultry. There's something about dark eyes lined with shimmery navy blue and black that makes the eyes pop and look more defined without being too dark and grungy.

On this particular day, I got a bit more fancy with my eye make up than usual and did a smoked navy blue eye accompanied with the last pair of my dolly wink lashes before heading out into town with my mom for the day!

Shimmery Bright Blue Mermaid Eyes! (Lunch at Siam Kitchen)

Shimmery Bright Blue Mermaid Eyes! When I think of Mermaids I think of different metallic and shimmery shades of blues, greens, purples and a bunch of reflective scales! I totally need to do a look with blue, green and purple in the future with mermaids in mind! Here I've created a light-medium tone bright blue look! I brought the shades much higher above the crease than I normally would with bright bolder colors but it turned out great!

Special: Lunch at Jai Siam, a blue lined eye and my mom's birthday cake!

Bold eyes, food and a beautiful cake! Hey ladies, I really hope 2015 got off to a great start for all of you! Here is a simple yet bold blue lined eye look I did when I had a lunch with my old classmate! We met up for a yummy thai lunch and on the same day I made, frosted and decorated a cake for my mom's birthday!

Bright Green Elf Inspired eyes!

Green Elf Inspired eyes! This look was created back in December when I was inspired  by the colors of the festive season! Plenty of ladies were doing gold eye looks and glittery looks with red lips but not as many were using another very common festive color, GREEN!

When I think of green, I think of christmas trees and cookie icing and also little elves and their outfits! Here I'm using greens for this elf inspired eye look! It's wearable enough for day time but great for night time too!

Blue bright eyes! (Urban Decay, Kate)

Bright and Blue! I don't think I've shared my opinion on light and bright blue shades before but I have to say that I've always and still think that powder baby blue and super light blues will never be my first choice of shadow. I still say that powder blue eyeshadow makes me think of cheap asian hookers but I have seen plenty of really cutesy looking girls wearing powder blue as a single shade or part of a pastel look and it works.

I think that in order to pull off a pale powder baby blue, you have to be wearing eyeliner and mascara too, it can't be one of those slick it on and go type of shade. I don't know...I can't do it! However on the flip side I LOVE blue shades, teals, green blues, dark navy blues!

Acid Green Forest eye and a cranberry cheek! (Dim Sum lunch)

Gimme that Acid! Here I have to present a super bright acid green forest gradient eye look! I just took a look into my greens and realized I wanted something super bright but wanted it to still be wearable for going out in the day time! Most people would like to wear neons or super bright colors but it's a bit scary so turning it into a gradient makes it more wearable although quite done up!

For lunch, my family and I headed over to an outlet of Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza. We ate a total of 17 dim sum items! This is because there was my brother and I who are huge eaters when it comes to dim sum! The food was just delicious!

Yellow and teal green eyes with bronzed cheeks!

Yellow and teal! Yes, yes, I've got absolutely no fancy names for any of my make up looks because I've just never been keen on thinking or putting much thought into names. It's not something that excites me although if I spend enough time I probably would be able to come up with something snazzy when when it comes to make up, a fancy name doesn't make a blah look any better!

Berry explosion look using Urban Decay Deluxe palette! (Fishnet, ransom, peace, scratch)

Berry explosion! For some reason I can actually imagine a mix of berry jams of purples, blues and reds exploding on someone's face when I thought of the name for this look! However my look is nowhere that abstract or artistic! I was in the mood for something light, bright and pretty. I wanted to someone use a few of the purples in my Urban Decay deluxe palette and this is what I came up with!

Mint teal green gradient eye look with a matte rose lip!

Make me mint! After seeing several ladies sporting mint looks I knew I had one up my sleeves when I saw the pretty matte mint shade in my Sleek Snapshots palette. I've been coming up with all sorts of looks ever since I owned the beauty. Here I used three colors from the palette for the bright and wearable look!

Also I am very happy to report that I've found a matte liquid lipstick that doesn't make my lips peel or feel dry, the Bourjois Rouge velvets!!! I've bought 3 already, and that says a lot as they are $25SGD or about $20 USD here a piece!

Cool blue eyes and peach lips! (home made apple crumble)

The colors Blue me away! Yes, yes! Cheesy sounding I know! It's just that I'm a giant fan of blues and I don't actually wear them very often on my eyes. However ever since owning the Coastal Scents Smokey palette which is a colorful 36 shadow palette I've been reaching back to the blue section for blue looks! (Check out my review of the palette here!)

I was feeling like a bright happy (funnily not blue) day and I decided to open my bad boy palette up again for another blue look! On the same day I also baked two big apple crumbles, one for my family, the other for my boyfriends!

Pink and blue eyes with Shiro Cosmetics pigments! (Boyfriend's birthday dinner)

Pink and blue Shiro Cosmetics pigments! I was in the mood for a super bright pinky/blue look some while back and looking through my stash I realized that I hadn't touched the multiple sample sized sachets of pigments I had ordered from Shiro Cosmetics last year! I reach straight from a lilac pink and a bright cobalt blue!

On the same day I did this look, I celebrated my boyfriend's birthday in advanced with a home cooked dinner of singapore chilli crab, stir fried vegetables, steamed prawns and fried bread!

Forest fairy green and purple look! (home baked dish meat pie)

Purple and green fairy eye look! This look was create almost a month ago, I've always got usually quite a big back log of posts that are in preparation but will not be published until 2 weeks to a month later from the day of when I took the photos! I had pulled out a beautiful duo baked eyeshadow which was gifted to me in a beauty swap from Pam who runs Jade in the Palace!

I used both the green and purple baked shades and then dipped into a few shades from the Sleek snapshots palettes to finish it off. This turned out much prettier than I thought it would!
