Fall inspired rusty eye look! (using NYX trio in Golden, Rust, Walnut Bronze)

Rust and old gold! Those are the kinds of shades besides a good deep olive green, navy, mauve taupe and earth tones that come to mind when I think of fall and winter colors for make up looks! It doesn't make a difference in terms of weather here in Singapore though, it's still damn hot and humid and rainy now!

I used this trio from NYX two years ago for a Christmas look however my skill then was not as good as it is now. My placement, blending and overall look I believe is an improvement! I only realized I used this trio before in a similar way after doing this look!

Continue below for the whole look!
Fall inspired rusty cranberry eye look using NYX trio in Golden, Rust, Walnut Bronze!
The completed look paired with one of my favorite nude lipsticks (totally toffee from maybelline)
My Christmas Eve Party look back in 2011, using the same palette! (Check out my post here!)
Using the same palette now in 2013...I think my skills have quite improved!
Really think this pair of flared lashes work so well with this colors! (I wished I had added a lighter gold or white highlight in the inner corners!)
This pair of lashes originally had some feather-esque bits on either ends of the pair but I plucked them off as I wasn't in the mood for a show girl type look and wanted to use these, they are by a super affordable company that carries more than a 100 designs of lashes!

Products Used: Maybelline pure liquid mineral foundation (my review here), NYX eyeshadow trio (My review here), Canmake blush (my review here), Revlon matte shadow (for brwos), Maybelline color tattoo (my review here), Catrice concealer, Maybelline totally toffee lipstick, Majolica Majorca mascara (my review here), Prestige eyeliner, Peripera eyeliner (my review here!)

Overall I like my overall look, the warm blush and the nude lip are things I really love! I really want to do more smoky dark eyed looks this year end!

Do you think my make up skilled have improved since last time I used this trio?
Do you fancy rusty/gold shades like this?
let me know!

Feel free to comment! Thank you!

  1. Oooh I like the look on you!! I always like rusty eye shadow shades because they are more intriguing and not as 'boring' as neutral hehe even though I always have neutral on the eyes. lol!

  4. I love how beautifully you blended out the eyeshadow! A lot of people don't realise that eyeshadow looks really chunky if you don't properly blend. Love this look ♥
