Rave Review: Sleek blush in Antique 142!

Sleek blush in Antique! Yes! I unfortunately succumbed to the beauty of yet another Sleek blush and no, my appetite hasn't completely been satisfied! I still want the shade Pomegranate (I had it before but it dropped and broke!) After order the most beautiful i-divine Vintage Romance palette last year, I thought again and again and realized I needed the limited edition blush that was released together as well!
I went right back onto Sleek's website and made an order for this blush only! The palette and this blush which are both limited edition are still on sale right now!

Check out my review of the Vintage Romace palette here!

Packaging & Product!

Solid, compact and 'sleek', that's pretty much what I say about every Sleek product! There's something so simple and acceptable and straightforward with a matte finish black compact. Their compacts for the eye palettes, blush and other powder products all are packaged with this black packaging. It reminds people of the brand NARS and as well as ELF products which is on the other end of the quality spectrum in a lot of senses. I find Sleek is smack in middle and then pushed further up as their quality is very good!

I've never had trouble with their packaging, they always shut snap very secure and they all come with lovely full sized mirrors inside that are so useful. I've dropped or knocked some of the palettes before and the only big loss I've had was a brand new blush I ordered that dropped a couple feet to the ground and it broke! Otherwise if you don't drop these, the compacts are super strong feeling!

Antique was the one that "almost" got away! On first impressions when I saw the palette and this blush released I totally just looked over the blush. The swatches I saw were either very pale and not that pigmented or it seemed like a muddy shade that I didn't really need! Thanks to some ladies who had some beautiful swatches and photos of the blush on them I realized this shade looked unique, warm, neutral and very wearable!

In the pan, it's a beautiful rosy mauve with terracotta undertones! There is also a beautiful super micro lilac/pinkish looking shimmer through the product too! Once swatched, the color is exactly the same on the skin as in the pan! It's so breathtaking and I'm so glad that I ended up ordering this!

The consistency of this blush is very fine and silky. All of their single blushes are just as soft and pigmented and even, the finish is more of a satin with micro shimmer in this one! I own shimmery and matte blushes from them and all of them perform just as well! When blended out the strong brown rosy tone blends out into a very natural warm shade for the cheeks.

You can wear this lightly for a warmed up cheek shade or heavily for the rose tone to show up more! I usually love wearing my blush quite heavy! These wear very well and last very evenly!

Paid: $6.99 USD or about $8.80 SGD (There is a shipping cost about 20% of your total order)

Recommend: Yes! This shade is such a special one, I've not seen many shades like this. Brown based very super wearable as it's a mix of rose, mauve and terracotta looking base! It's very good for a natural cheek color without too much shimmer!

Repurchase: Yes! There's one more single blush that I really really want, the shade Pomegranate which I did order and receive but then accidentally broke! The quality of these jems are just too good to pass, even with the slight shipping cost, you get so much product and the quality is great!

Bottom line: A very unique and wearable natural looking shade, I'm totally deeply in love with this one. I'm a huge rosy shade blush wearer but this one comes close to the same love too! The finish is so smooth, easy to apply and use and there's a beautiful micro lilac shimmer through this one!

I don't own any Sleek products yet but I will definitely try them soon :) The blush looks so wearable and there isn't too much glitter which makes it great for everyday! I love how it can contour your cheekbones too, the result is stunning :)

  4. Oh dang, such a gorgeous shade *-* (I have Pomegranate!! :D But wait, what did you do with the broken powder? Or are you still using the broken powder as a loose powder blush?)
I kinda regret not picking this up when I had the chance, because honestly, I thought it was going to be too dark for my skintone, but dang, this looks amazing on you!
