Triple the Solution BB cream! I don't know about all you ladies out there but in my opinion (and seemingly a lot of other ladies), I perfer using BB cream from Asian brands. They are usually always very high coverage, long lasting and have lots of SPF.
I've heard so much criticism about BB creams from western brands being too sheer, not oil controlling...etc and that saddens me! I mean, it's fine for those with already good skin but for those who want high coverage that can be sheered out if needed, just go straight for an asian brand like Missha, Lioele or Skin 79. I wouldn't waste my time with maybelline, garnier or l'oreal bb creams.

Packaging!
I ordered this through a local website called Dolltodollcosmetics.com started by a fellow local beauty blogger Juli! As I'm not sure where to buy this in Singapore and haven't seen it anywhere in stores or departments. It arrived like this, without a box and I'm not sure if it should have a box or not as most BB creams from Asian brands come in boxes although most make up products in general don't come boxed or in any sort of clam shell cardboard packaging.
This packaging is simply princess like and so girly. I love the hot pink, gold and white color scheme! All of their make up product packaging is similar, pink, white and goldish. I absolutely adore this type of packaging, it's a tube with a very good pump on the end for controlled product release.
The tube is made of a super thick plastic, I'm not concerned of it being poked and leaking any time soon. Most impressive is that although this is a Korean brand, the labeling on the front of the product is all in english! This isn't the case usually so it's definitely a plus!
All in all I cannot think of any downside to this packaging, maybe except for the size? It's quite a long tube but you are getting a lot of product, 50ml to be exact! However because it's a plastic tube and pump, this product is still quite light and travel friendly!

Product!
Simple put, this BB cream is a thick, creamy, neutral beige colored product with high coverage, great blendability and last forever and controls oil when set with a powder. I personally set all my liquid/cream bases if they are dewy, this one is no exception so I can't tell you how it'd last without a setting powder.
The color is a neutral beige light tone which is better than a lot of the first few waves of BB creams that had the imfamous pinkish greyish tone. I'd say a this matches an NC20-25 best, if you are a shade darker, you'd need to powder to match it to your color but if you are lighter, maybe sheering this product out could work.
I apply this with my fingers only or apply with fingers and then use a dense small face brush to blend out. You need very little because this formula is super high coverage and will cover up pimples and dark acne scars if needed. I don't use very much because I don't have much but uneveness under the eyes to cover but if needed I'd say slowly build up thin layer if you want high coverage because this formula is very thick.
My bare face, I have slight darkness under my eyes! |
As seen below the finish is slightly dewy and very glowing! This shade works well for me although it is a bit brightening but it doesn't matter as I always set my base with a powder foundation afterwards. The coverage is absolutely solid and very high, as you can see, the darkness and uneveness under my eyes are completely gone and looks brightened and awake.
This BB cream does have a feeling on the face though because it is very creamy and thick, so you must be careful not to use too much at a time.

Paid: $35.90 SGD or about $28 USD (it was on sale, RP is $39.90)
Recommend: Yes! This BB cream is a very heavy duty, flawless finish product. When set with a powder it lasts forever and will need a scrub and foamy creamy face wash to remove it at the end of the day. I'd recommend this to those who like or want a heavy coverage and who match a NC 20-25.
Repurchase: No, not because of any flaws of the products but because it's super thick and heavy and I've realized I prefer something not as thick and because there is so much product this is going to take forever to finish!
Bottom line: A very all rounder product, the shade is a very good match to me, the coverage is very full and it controls oil and lasts forever! I would recommend this to those who need high coverage and who want a BB cream with more SPF!

I love this BB cream. It gives such great coverage, unfortunately it broke me out :( probs because of the floral scent. Glad you love it too!
ReplyDeleteI've strayed from Lioele, though I use to absolutely love the brand. This BB cream sounds very promising! And the finish is just flawless, I actually really like the dewy finish, it gives such a nice glow and brightening effect!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it has great coverage! I haven't had much luck with BB creams because it always seems to make me look ashy? But this sounds pretty good! Going to keep a lookout for this one!
ReplyDeletewow i has a yellow undertone all the other BB creams I've tried looks too grey or too pink. I might try this out thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI have tried this one but I found it a bit too ashy for my liking, glad that it works very well for you!!
i love how fresh this makes the skin look and no icky grey tones as well !
ReplyDeleteThe coverage is fantastic! I haven't tried the Asian brand BB cream yet but I should because the ones I've tried so far have been disappointing
ReplyDeleteI love a fuller coverage, so this might be a good match for me :) Also, I say this all of the time, but I'm going to say it again: HOW IS YOUR SKIN SO DANG FLAWLESS?!?

I agree with you. Asian BB creams are the best! I've only tried Missha but once I'm done with mine, I can't wait to try something new and based on your review I'm quite interested in this one. Packaging is so cute and it looks so natural on you.
