Skincare Review: Vichy Normaderm Day & Night anti-imperfection routine set (for acne prone/oily skin)

Having oily-combination type skin like many other ladies here in sunny sunny Singapore I invested into this value set of three full sized products from Vichy labratories Normaderm anti-imperfection line which is targeted towards oilier/acne prone skin.

I've been using these products on and off for the last 6 months and now can give a proper review on how it's worked for me and my skin.

Continue below for more photos, details and the review on the Normaderm products!

Rave Review: Kate Gel Eyeliner in 3 shades! (easy EOTD w/liner)

Finally! This has been put off for far too long! I've been using these for about 3 months now and loving every bit of these glorious pots of gel liner!

After trying a bunch of waterproof eyeliners and nothing really being 'waterproof' I picked up the Kate gel eyeliner in BK-1 (black) on a whim...only to discover it was one of the best make up moves I've made!

Local beauty blogger at Bun Bun Make up tips also raves and love the affordability and quality of these as much as I do! Check out her review and comparison with MAC's gel eyeliner!

Continue below for the review and a FOTD with the eyeliners!

Rave Review: Kiss me Heroine LONG & Curl Mascara! (before/after photos!)

The same brand as my previous Holy Grail mascara the 'volume & curl' version which I (reviewed here) this one has a different brush but the same fiber and super waterproof formulation.

I swear if I had to have one mascara for the rest of my life I'm glad to say that either one of these from Kiss me Heroine would be a blessing. Made by asians to look amazing on skimpy asian lashes, any girl lacking seriously in the volume, length and curl department you must try this at least once.

This is by far tied with best with the volume & curl version, I can't ask for anything better at such a good price!

Important: I'd like to point out that eye shape, lash type and application are three things that effect how a mascara works on a person. It is not usually possible for a monolided person to have the same effect as a double-lided person.

My lash type: short, fine, slightly curly

Review: Biore pore strips! (photos & application!)

One of my must-have, cannot-live-without, everyone-can-do-it products of ALL TIME!! (yes, i'm that amazed by it)....are the "Biore Pore Pack nose strips!"

Ever since I begun using these years ago, I've never stopped being amazing by their ability to remove nose gunk every single time. When applied and used with proper techniques these simple strips can do miracles. If I could only purchase a few beauty items for the rest of my life, these would be on the list!

Continue below for photos (some yucky ones!) and my review!!

Review: The Body Shop lip & cheek stain and lovegloss (swatches, application!)

Sorry, I haven't had time or the energy to post recently! But anyways....

Here are a couple things I got back in june with a redemption with my member's stamp card! I've always liked the Body Shop glosses but the clear ones tended to smell really funky after a while. Having bought lovegloss 16 before i decided to go for that and two lipstains which aren't the best but work well for layering. Here are my thoughts and photos on the lovegloss and lipstain!

Continue below to see swatches and application!

The Body Shop Lipstain in 01 and Lovegloss in 16...

The stain only comes in one color, lovegloss 16 is a lovely pink.

Review: L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum (photos, tips!)

I'm not so sure when but there has been a flood of lash growth serums in recent years...From the famous Latisse and Lilash, the names and companies are endless! All claiming that their products, if applied consistently will give you longer, fuller lashes! Something most ladies fancy? I do at least!

Then again, I'd read of the 'side effects' some of these products have been reported to have such as...discoloration on the lid, lashes rapidly 'returning' to the original state after stopping treatment, hair growing in unwanted areas on the face...all the not so appealing things I'd say.

Last year in March I spotted an article in 'Simply Her' magazine here in Singapore, it was a 'Tried & Tested' article on 5 different lash growth serums...

The two most affordable and rated as second and third best out of the five were DHC's Eyelash Tonic and L'oreal's Renewal Lash Serum...I went out and bought both!

They can be purchased at most Watsons...I purchased L'oreal at $28.90 but the price of DHC's is now $27.90...what happened to $18.90 from a year ago?

Review: Sheene Mascara/ Application Tips! (Photos!)

From my last haul post at Sinma outside Lucky Plaza I'd picked up a mascara by a Thai brand called "Sheene", it carries the usual array of items but I really wanted to check out the "Extra Curl" mascara because of the brush I saw on the tester. It's the bendy/plastic type which I love for separation and I hoped it would give me length/curl/separation for the $7.90 SGD I spent on it! Inexpensive compared to what's found at the pharmacy but it looked promising!

Continue below for before/after photos...

Today's review is..."Sheene Hi-Speed waterproof Mascara!"

Important: I'd like to point out that eye shape, lash type and application are three things that effect how a mascara works on a person. It is not usually possible for a monolided person to have the same effect as a double-lided person.

I have monolid eyes most of the time, they have a tendency to become double lided if I use waterproof mascaras which changes how the mascara looks. When my eyelids are single, less lashes are visible as half are hidden beneath the lid. Otherwise when my lid is double more is visible and it looks like I have longer lashes.

My lash type: Short, fine, slightly curled

This mascara is: Black and waterproof...

In a card board back packaging...not typically found at pharmacies....this was from Lucky Plaza's SINMA

At $7.90 I can't complain about the price but I don't get why it's called "Hi-Speed" mascara...
I only saw 3 of the 4 mascaras in the section..
