Rave review: The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub and Foot Rescue!

Peppermint foot therapy! For all of those ladies who suffer now and again from thickening heel skin and calluses or other foot related skin issues here are two products that can and will change your life! I've been using this scrub for now 5 years and the cream now and again but both products are worth the cost and worthy of being repurchased due to how effective they are!

I almost never buy anything from The Body Shop, I used to be a big fan but no more. I can buy shower gels for much cheaper and buy tea tree oil from Thursday plantation that gives you so much more product! Their body scrubs are so pricey here and you only get 200ml!

Review: The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes in 07!

Shimmer, shimmer, shimma! That's all I think of when it comes to eyeshadows.

I'm one of those girls who has no issues with completely metallic and shimmery shades on my eyes. I think it's so flattering on me and asian ladies, it gives dimension and light on our small lids!

Here's one of the shimmer cube quads I picked up last year in shade 07. The colors are very wearable and actually very fitting for fall!

Things to trash! (last months of 2011)

Similar to local blogger Haru of Rouge Deluxe she has a post called 'operation use it up' and I'm going to start a 'things to trash' post. I've taken photos in the past few months of things I've used up before throwing them away. Since then I haven't posted about them yet, most are skincare/hair care.

Here's a bunch I've collected from the last quarter of 2011...short rants on the products are attached!

All 14 items shown have been finished by this post!

st ives apricot scrub, Previa shea butter treatment, the body shop rainforest shine conditioner
  •  $5-6  Love the scrub, I've had times when I use this almost daily for bumps on the sides of my face. No so much anymore as my skin's improved. This is great for oily and bumpy skinned days.
  • Handed to me by my mother for dry hair, although it smells like chocolate it didn't soften or change the texture of my already normal hair.
  • $16.90 - Had to use a lot of the conditioner to coat my thick hair, I didn't get any scent/soften from it, would not buy this again.

Review: The Body Shop Olive Body Butter & Scrub!

Some lovely stuff from The Body Shop that I actual do repurchase despite their ridiculously steep prices! The only things I've ever repurchased from them time after time are their body and foot scrubs as well as one of their new shampoos.

In the past I've their lemon body scrub and it nearly killed my skin! It was so greasy when applied and the greasy feeling just wouldn't wash off properly. Afterwards when my skin dried it was unbearable itchy and dry. Just crazy opposites with one product!

Then I got the Olive body scrub and it was great. At $S30.90 a tub for this stuff, I'm glad I've got a loyalty card now!

Quick Look: Body Shop Delipscious Sheer Lip Colour in 06!

Just a little something quick I'd pulled out. I believe my mother bought this a little while ago from The Body Shop, it's their "Delipscious Sheer Lip Color" and this one is in 06 Sheer Grape.

There are 9 colors avalible in Singapore and the packaging has been revamped and currently has dots on the slim tube.

Paid: $S19.90
Quite the opposite of 'sheer', grape comes off as a coral brown color...

Review: The Body Shop lip & cheek stain and lovegloss (swatches, application!)

Sorry, I haven't had time or the energy to post recently! But anyways....

Here are a couple things I got back in june with a redemption with my member's stamp card! I've always liked the Body Shop glosses but the clear ones tended to smell really funky after a while. Having bought lovegloss 16 before i decided to go for that and two lipstains which aren't the best but work well for layering. Here are my thoughts and photos on the lovegloss and lipstain!

Continue below to see swatches and application!

The Body Shop Lipstain in 01 and Lovegloss in 16...

The stain only comes in one color, lovegloss 16 is a lovely pink.

Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner! (photos!)

There has been raves going on about 'Tea Tree' products, especially since the active ingredient is plant derived and not chemical. I've been using tea tree products (gels, oils) for the last 5 years from different brands. I used to religiously use the old 'tea tree and witch hazel' line from Guardian pharmacy, surprising it was mild but strong enough to keep my oily t zone in check. However after it was discontinued about a year ago, The body shop's tea tree range caught my eye and the first thing I bought from them was the toner. At $21.90 SGD...I was a little hesitant!

(The price has gone up! It's now $22.90 when I got back ups last week!)

A review on..."The Body Shop's Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner!"

Green and in semi-opaque bottle, you get 250ml, so it's a generous amount!

Tea Tree

For those new to 'tea tree', it's not an edible type of tea at all! It's from the leaves of a type of tree native to australia. The leaves are often used to make oil and hence, tea tree 'oil' which typically has a clear to pale yellow/green color. Tea tree products are for acne/oily prone skin as the natural properties of tea tree are antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungi and hence it helps to dry up and kill bacteria forming pimples!
