Memebox Special #52 WTF: Wonderful Treasure Finds!
Yadah Capsule Tok Soothing Gel 200ml ($11)
Yadah Capsule Tok Soothing Gel 200ml ($11)
Product Description & Directions!

This is an aloe gel that has yellow vitamin capsules for brightening the complexion while soothing and moisturizing. It's a blend of aloe vera water, green tea extract and cactus flower that cools and leaves the skin moist. There is also witch hazel and lotus extracts meant to treat and firm up clogged pores.

This can be used directly on red or dehydrated skin, used mixed with sugar for a body scrub, as a hair treatment or mixed with a make up base like BB cream.

Let's be honest, Aloe gel is nothing new or undiscovered! It's been around forever and it's so easily found and almost everyone I know has used it at some point! Besides that I really do appreciate that this formulation has more than just aloe so I would think that this brings more to the skin when used. It smells and feels exactly like a typical aloe gel except for the sprinkling of green and yellow capsules that you don't feel when rubbed onto the skin.

I personally would not used this on my hair or mixed into a base as this product gets sticky once you start sweating and I would rather use moisturizer to thin out a base if wanted. Otherwise this really is exactly what it says for use on the skin. Totally soothing, it dries quickly and leaves the skin feeling velvety. I tried this in the shower with another harder scrub and this leaves the skin feels great!

Yadah Capsule Tok Soothing Gel 200ml ($11)
Skindeco Comedo AC Power Serum 50g ($36)

Product Description & Directions!

This serum is rich with concentrates of ginger and garlic! They are meant to soften the skin's texture and remove excessive oil, improving clogged pores and to make the skin more glowing. This is to be applied directly onto the clean face.

This serum comes in a lovely bottle, I think this packaging is a bit more unusual as I can't think of too many other products I've got that's red and gold. This bottle is made of glass but isn't too heavy, I only wished the pump was a twist and lock instead of having to keep the little stopper for the pump.

The product at first looks like a thicken oil but actually feels like a slightly slimy but yet watery thin feeling serum. It feels super light and when rubbed into the skin it absorbs very quickly leaving the skin feeling soft but dry. It has a soothing light smell like a fresh morning fog that's a touch sweet. I can see how this would probably work well on most skin types except dry.

Being a product that apparently has garlic and ginger I'm completely surprised that this doesn't smell anything of the spicy pungent smells of those herbs and also doesn't have any tingling sensation. An interesting product, given those two ingredients this is a more unique product however ginger and garlic have been used and eaten for centuries in asia for healthy/beauty!

Skindeco Comedo AC Power Serum 50g ($36)
Mumur Air Waterdrop Cooling Hand Cream Snow Blossom 50g ($9)
Product Description & Directions!

This hand cream is a light weight formula that instantly melts into the skin with a silky finish. It creates water droplets like dew when massaged into the skin and it's full of hyaluronic acid and is free of parabens, ethanol, artificial coloring and fragrance!

This product was a complete surprise to me in an amazing way. I have to say that although face products like BB creams and some foundations have this technology that creates water droplets when applied I've never seen this in a hand product before. It's definitely something unique and I absolutely love the scentlessness. It actually smells like fresh rain water!

This product is like a jelly and once rubbed it leaves the skin supply, velvety and soft while leaving little water droplets all over that you can rub away or let them dry. This would be great for those who don't like thick, rich hand creams. I think this is also perfect for hot and humid weather. I never ever use hand creams but I totally will be using this! It's awesome!

Elinette BMS Cure Cream 50ml ($65)
Elinette BMS Cure Cream 50ml ($65)
Product Description & Directions!

A paraben and alcohol free face cream, this is formulated to boost how antioxidant and minerals help skin turnover. This should also soften, soothe, moisturize and firm up dehydrated skin. This should be applied to the face twice a day, morning and night.

Straight away looking and feeling this product, it's a super buttery whipped cream texture that melts when rubbed onto the skin. It feels super light once rubbed and the product dries quickly and the skin feels soft but not greasy at all.

The one big problem about this product that I cannot stand and think that many people may not like either is the smell. This smells at first like fresh sour yoghurt but on second smell it reminds me of an ethanol menthol scented chinese oil my grandpa used to use plus a mild sourness that cannot be missed.

Even after absorbing into the skin the smell is still slight and I personally can't stand this on my face. It definitely feels good, not too light and watery and just rich enough to plump the surface of the skin. However the scent is too much for me and the face that this is paraben free means this product will turn bad faster than all the normal ones that have some preservatives.

 Dearberry Play Choux 30ml ($13)

Dearberry Play Choux 30ml ($13)
Product Description & Directions!

A lightweight, skin perfecting primer, this is meant to be used to prep and correct the skin. The two avalible shades are meant to combat sallowness, dehydration and saggy skin to allow make up to glide on evenly and stay looking great for longer. The lemon color is meant for brightening and the peach shade is to give an inner glow. Apply to clean skin before base make up or mix a small amount into your base make up!

At first when I saw this I thought it was a highlighter as this product truly looks like one but was happy to realize this is meant to be a primer. This product has a thickened gel type texture and has a beautiful sweet body cream scent. I received the lemon choux shade which is a pale golden dimensional shade that's full of micro shimmer and gleams beautifully swatched.

On the face this feels like a smooth jelly type primer that leaves the skin supple and super smooth, I don't use any face primers so I can't compared. As a primer the shimmer doesn't show up but mixed with a foundation this product really gives your complexion this delicate glow. I wore this mixed and then set with a powder and my foundation lastly just as long as it normally did but looked even better then the normally did!

Bath Charm Store Dead Sea Salt Pearl Natural Soap 100g ($6)
Bath Charm Store Dead Sea Salt Pearl Natural Soap 100g ($6)
Product Description & Directions!

A 100% natural soap, this is made from dead sea salt, pearl powder, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, lavender essential oil and rose fragrance. This soap is suppose to help brighten up a dull complexion and is good for treating troubled sensitive skin. After washing with warm water, this should be lathered and then massaged onto the face before rinsing off with cold water.

Natural soaps are definitely not new or that unique but they aren't so main stream just yet and most people don't go out of their way to buy natural hand made or chemical free options. I personally LOVE that this soap looks like a scallop shell with a pearl! It's sooo pretty and the light golden over spray is a lovely touch too.

My first impressions is very positive as the soap has a lovely smell, nothing too green or harsh or strange like many 'natural' soaps. It smells super fresh, a touch of a young vegetable shoot type smell that's sweet which I think is because of the rose. I've used this on my body mainly and I love how it smells. This bar works up a good lather but nothing very foamy. This leave the skin a bit tighter and I would recommended to test this on one side of your face to see if you like the sensation before using it all over.

Tonymoly Mr. Smile Patch 10g ($2)
Tonymoly Mr. Smile Patch 10g ($2)
Product Description & Directions!

This super cutsey mustache design patch for the smile lines is made from a hydrogel material. It's packed with blueberry, blackberry, black sesame seed and mulberry extracts. These are meant to smooth out and firm up the skin around the mouth area.
Products like this are now common from asian brands. Patches for the eyes, mouth and other specific areas. I really think the design is super smart and the texture of it is a thick firm jelly feel. Surprisingly these patches are quite thick and although they are moist and jelly like they managed to stay on my face when standing up right! It's best to wear these while lying down and maybe leave them over night!

I love how cooling these feel and I totally would stick these in the fridge or use them for a short while, apply some aloe gel on top and rechill them for use again. You won't get miracle results from using these but they definitely are a nice booster type product that helps to plump up dull/dehydrated parts of your face. These also would be great for the eyelids or under the eyes! These are great for anyone to use and good for any occasion!

Wearing  the Tonymoly Mr. Smile Patch! It's so easy and soothing to use! You could wear these on your eyelids or under eye too!
Memebox Special #52 WTF: Wonderful Treasure Finds!
Paid: Sent to me from Memebox! (This box retails for $23 and ships for $6.99!) This box is currently sold out!

Recommend: Yes! I really did enjoy almost all the products in this box! Although I don't find that most of these products are 'under the radar' or 'unheard' of they are really easy, fun to use and most importantly should work for everyone's skin type!

Repurchase: Yes but not this exact box! I've got my eyes on the Citrus Care box, My cute wish list boxes and the The Little Mermaid box!

Bottom line: This box although not filled with totally 'under the radar' and completely 'new' products does have some nice and super easy to use products! I especially loved the soap, smile patches and hand cream! This box is for those who care more for skincare/body care products!

  4. I love the WTF meme so much. Your review is so detailed! I've not heard of many of these products before but I guess that's coz I'm not a beauty blogger. I like the introduction card. That's really very helpful for any subscription box. The moustache patch is cute. I find my smile lines really distinct esp when I have thick make up on for occasions and I hate it.

  7. Hi Sharlynn!

I just found your blog somewhere on a blog post that we both commented lately.

This memebox looks good. But what I think I really like in it was the Yadah capsule tok soothing gel. I love the idea of aloe gel in it, perfect to be a shower buddy after a long day sunny day.

And oh, I just followed you on Bloglovin, I think I have to, to get connected. :)
