Lunchdate: Black smokey eye and Tandoori with Naan!

Smokey eyes and tandoori chicken! Indian food is definitely enjoyed in my household although we don't eat it as often as our usual chinese singaporean foods. There's a casual Indian food joint called 'Prata Wala' the boyfriend and I like visiting now and again and our favorite thing to get is the tandoori naan set for two which comes with beautifully roasted tandoori chicken, freshly baked naan bread and a spread of vegetable curries and fresh salad.

Review: Origins Flower Fusion Sheet Mask (Violet, Orange, Jasmine and Rose)!

Flower Fusion! For those mornings, evenings and nights when your skin needs a pick-me-up, facial sheet masks are always a good choice. I personally use sheet masks to prep my skin if it's feeling dry or in the evenings to relax after a long day.

Today I'll be reviewing the Flower Fusion sheet masks from Origins in four different scents! They are a botanical-infused mask that is meant to address specific skincare needs for immediate results. There is bamboo and pure flower extracts in the masks which is meant to boost moisture levels, refine and soothe tired skin.

Food Post: Things eaten out and home made! (Jan/Feb 2017)

Colorful and tasty! Yes, that's right, I like my food tasty but also very colorful! I'm sure many of you must have heard that eating food in a wider range of colors means that we are getting more vitamins and minerals and so that's what I do and eat religiously by! Today I've got shots of meals I've mowed down earlier this year, I hope nobody is hungry while scrolling through this post or I can gaurantee you will leave half way to grab a snack!

Review: Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color N in 301!

Rosey Cheeks! Blush has always been my kryptonite! I love a good blush and application that not only adds color to the face but sculpts the face without the need for any contour or bronzer. Anna Sui's aesthetic has always been appealing to me. Along with the look and all things rose obsessed there was a time that I just loved the look of blushes with multiple shades. This was in the back of my mind for about two years before I found them at Sasa and swatched them all in person before finally  getting my hands on one!

Holiday Special: Day 5 in Patong, Phuket Thailand! (May 2016)

Day 5 in Patong, Phuket Thailand! It's been a long time coming since I wrote about my trip to Phuket last year. Day 5 was nothing but a day full of feasting from the time we woke up till the time we went to bed!

I had searched in advanced about the top places serving a fancier sunday brunch and settled on Twinpalms Resort which is one of the higher end resorts in Phuket which was about a 30-45 minute drive away from the area we were staying in. The day took a fun turn when we ended up at a cat cafe in the afternoon for about 2 hours before exploring an open market street in town.

Rave Review: Iope Air Cushion XP in C21!

It's cushion time! It's been a couple years since BB creams and subsequently cushions have flooded the beauty markets. From asian brands, dermatological brands, mainstream western brands and finally high end brands, BB cushions are pretty much everywhere now. My personal experience is basically made up of Laneige's version and this one by Iope which is another super popular pick for cushions.

Romantic purple look and Lasagna for Christmas 2016!

Dreamy purples and delicious Thai! Throw yourself back about 6 months and that was around the time of December! As my family doesn't celebrate Christmas but my boyfriends' does I went over to his family home to have a delicious home made beef lagsana not before having thai food for lunch! No festive period is complete without food and lots of it and when it comes to make up, I like going a bit bolder or brighter!

Rave Review: Catrice 12h Matt Mouse Make Up in 010 soft ivory!

Moussey and matte! Mouse foundations is something I've always been keen on trying out but very rarely do as I'm quite set and happy with liquid and powder foundations. However there was a sale some time ago on Catrice products and couldn't pass up the chance to try their mousse foundation.

Considering Singapore's terribly hot and humid weather, it's a must to have a long wearing base if you're going to consider wearing one at all. Luckily this mouse foundation nicely lived up to what I thought it would be like.

Food Posts: Everything eaten in November and Decemeber 2016! (burritos, tempura, prawn cakes)

Foodie fiesta! For the last two months of last year I had a couple more interesting meals. One was a Mexican meal with my girlfriends, a Thai dinner out with my family and some yummy home made Japanese tempura. I've learned to not go crazy with my camera, taking photos of everything like I used to when I was younger so here are my top snaps from November and December!

Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Abyss!

Glide on, slide on eyeliner! Eyeliner can really be a girls' best friend and with soooo many shades available now on the market it's always possible for find a color that you want without being too concerned about whether its a novelty and won't have a good standard. Urban Decay is a great example, with so many shades available asides from the standard black, browns and flesh tones they have the most beautiful range of colorful eyeliners.

As someone who loves blue eyeliner I just HAD to get this bold medium blue color when I saw it among all the others!

Holiday Special: Day 4 in Patong, Phuket Thailand! (May 2016)

Day 4 in Phuket Thailand! Bringing my blog day four from my gorgeous beachy holiday to Phuket last year in May! We basically spent this day slowly, waking up late and going back for the second time to an Indian/Lebanese/Thai restaurant which we had dropped into before for a snack and discovered that the food was real good!

Later in the evening we went to visit the night market which was lovely although so crazy warm as the bulk of it was under one roof and everyone was sweating like crazy despite fans here and there!

Late night supper: Swee Choon Tim Sum!

Supper time with Dim Sum! Some months ago while I was working night shifts at my previous work place I would meet with my boyfriend when I finished at 1:30am in the morning and we'd go have supper. My evening meal break would usually be around 4:30pm or 5pm so I'd be pretty ravenous by then. After going to two places on alternate occasions I decided it was time to look for a new supper spot. Singapore doesn't have too many places open 24 hours or late into the early morning hours so this established old school dim sum house seemed like a great choice.

Review: Catrice Infinite Shine Lip Gloss in 150 Pink Twice!

Shiny and flashy hot pink! For those in Singapore, the arrival of Catrice and Essence a few years ago was HUGE drugstore news! We've only ever had like maybe 2 drugstore brands that sold all their make up items for under $20! It's so great to have these two large brands with such range of colors and product types now in Singapore and both younger ladies and full blown adults are happily swatching and checking out their things without the fear of having to spend at least $20 on one item.

When I saw this glorious rich fuschia hot pink, I just knew I had to get it! It's the perfect blue toned full on bold pink!

Easy shimmery peach eyes and cheeks!

Peachy all over! Safe to say peachy shades are a popular pick. They work well on all skin colors and tend to be super flattering no matter the occasion. I discovered my love for peachy shades first on the eyes and then on the cheeks and I'd always recommend everyone to have one shimmery peach shade for the lids for clean simple looks.

Holiday Special: Day 3 in Patong, Phuket Thailand! (May 2016)

Day 3 in Phuket Thailand! This travel post is from last year when my boyfriend and I took a trip just before his birthday in May. On our third day, I had booked a full day trip where we would go island hopping covering 7 islands but the main attraction of the day was our stop over and lunch at the Similan Islands which are only opened for a few months of the year.

It was one of the best trips we'd been on while on a beach holiday and we had never seen such gorgeous azure blue waters. Highly recommended for those willing to spend a full day on an ocean trip! Keep in mind, none of my photos have been altered in any way! The colors are true to what my camera captured!

Lunching at Wheeler's Yard!

Lunching to reward myself! Wheeler's Yard is a well known cafe outlet in Singapore known of its theme of bicycles. This outlet which I visited is the original and serves as a cafe, rest stop for cyclists and also has a bicycle shop. I've seen it all over instagram in Singapore as their infamous metal gate with bikes have people snapping photos left, right and on repeat due to how photogenic it looks.

Review: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush!

Ambient Lighting Blush! Let's be honest, although it's been more than two years since the release of this very popular product, the line of Ambient products from Hourglass has yet to fully die down. Their powders have lots of crazy fans along with the blushes and bronze pieces in the line. I have never been one to buy things when they first release and I did not. This purchase was made a good year and more after the release. At that time, you still could not buy Hourglass products in Singapore (there used to be a stand alone boutique shop years ago I found out but it had closed down some years back) and therefore when I saw this available on a popular local online cosmetic shop I was one of many who made purchases in their pre-order and paid a very hefty price for it.

My Everday easy warm bronze eye!

Everyday bronze eye! Neutral eye looks have been my go to the last whole year! When I was younger I used to look at eye make up inspiration and always thought that I'd wear more colorful looks but the older I get I realize the simplicity and ease of a flawless neutral look. Here is an easy light bronzy eye look I did sometime back when I still had a full fringe! I'm currently just about done growing it out and plan to go fringeless for a while.

Review: Hada Labo Air BB Cream in Natural Beige!

Air BB Cream! For the last 5 years BB creams and BB products have just exploded! I've tried quite a few BB creams by now and when I saw this by Hada Labo I just had to get it despite already having more than enough foundations at home. For those who don't know Hada Labo is a Japanese skincare brand which is known for being gentle and effective.

There were only two shades for this product which is very typical of BB creams traditionally to have only 1, 2 or 3 shades at most. The shade I have, Natural Beige is the lighter of the two.
