Rave Review: Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01!

Perfect liquid eyeliner? I've tried now at least 5 Asian brands of liquid eyeliner and all of them have been great in different ways but my favorite type has to be the ones with a soft nylon fiber tip. Those eyeliners are the ones that are the easiest to draw a smooth line without any drag, pull or effort at all. I'm not a fan of felt tips or pencil eyeliners for the upper lash line.

I have repurchased my favorite Kiss me heroine eyeliner already 4 times and after trying a K-palette eyeliner and being disappointed by how it performed after a few months I was ready to try a new brand of eyeliner! Isn't it funny how so many brands of asian eyeliners have the word "perfect" in their names?

Continue below for the review!
Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01!
Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01! I hope the "WP" stands for waterproof! I have no clue though!
Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01! This is the same price as maybelline, l'oreal and other asian brands like Dolly Wink!
Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01! Love the gold labeling!
Packaging!

Nothing truly special but yet super sleek and simple and practical. I'm a big fan of these slim pen forms of liquid eyeliner where you don't need to sharpen or dip the eyeliner. The tube of this packaging is super glossy and I love the simple golden print of the labelling on the tube. It's also the exact same size as similar eyeliners from other Japanese brands. Kiss me Heroine, K-palette and even Peripera, they are all exactly the same size!

The only downside to packaging like this is that if you're super clumsy you could lose the cap but I've yet to do so in the last 4 years and I wouldn't be touching up in a moving vehicle either. The labeling usually rubs off partially after several months of use as well but that goes with most printed on labels like this and others. Nothing that effects the quality of the overall product!

This eyeliner is advertised to have a super fine tip of 0.05mm! It's true, it's the finest one I've come across!
Product!

Firstly, I did not swatch this product, because on my skin it looks just like any other black eyeliner. It's almost pointless to do an eyeliner swatch unless I'm doing a water test. However don't fret because there's plenty of good about this eyeliner.

Firstly it's a true black shade, compared to Peripera which I have used two up completely, this is far more black and has a semi matte finish. Just as black as Kiss Me Heroine's but not as matte as Perfect Black Pen Eyeliner. In terms of color and finish I love both. I'm a fan of both glossy and non glossy finishes of black eyeliner, the important thing is that it is very black.

In terms of application, this has the finest tip of all the pen eyeliner's I've tried. Due to how this is a brush tip, it's super soft and super easy to maneuver on the lids without tugging, pulling or having to go over multiple times to get that smooth slick line. It has such a tiny tip that can you do a super sharp line, a slim pointed wing or a thicker line, whatever you want!

Much like all the other asian eyeliners I've tried this lasts all day long. Given that I have eyeshadow on my lids before applying this, it really can last a full day and through me walking around and sweating. This stays on beautifully and needs minor touch up if any only if I touch or rub around my eye which I rarely do!

Eyeliner comparison: Kiss Me Heroine smooth liquid eyeliner, Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner!
Eyeliner comparison: Kiss Me Heroine smooth liquid eyeliner, Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner! They are all the exact same size!

Comparing these three, the best overall is the Heavy Rotation in terms of being a solid black, long lasting eyeliner with the finest tip. The Kiss Me Heroine is my second favorite of three and I have repurchased more than 3 of these!

The tip isn't as fine and lastly the K-palette isn't as good as the other two as after two months of use, the pigmentation is no longer as solid and the brush seems to fray up a bit.

All three have fine points but the Heavy Rotation one has the tiniest tip.
Using Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner! See how sharp and fine a point you can get?
Or you can opt for a smaller thick flick! See how dark and black it is!
Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01!
Paid: $18.90 SGD or about $15.20 USD

(this is the average price of all eyeliners at drugstores here!)

Recommend: YES! This has become my favorite right now! It's super long lasting, super black, slightly glossy and has such a lovely fine tipped point!

Repurchase: Yes! I don't buy many eyeliners again unless they are really good and I would consider buying another one of these although I do enjoy trying new pen eyeliners!

Bottom line: This has really been quite a perfect eyeliner in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of this type of eyeliner with the soft brush pen tip, it's super fine and the super black and long lasting quality makes this so easy to use. Out of all those I've tried this is amongst the best ones! Do check this one out and give it a try!

  1. It's hard to find the perfect black liquid liner! I have one from Smashbox and one from Shu Uemura right now, and neither are quite perfect...but they are good.

  3. I also prefer the brush tip liners. I accidentally bought the Clio Kill Black liner in pen form, and it feels like I'm re-learning how to draw on my lids haha.
I like that this Heavy Rotation liner is a true black. I'd love to try it out someday.

  5. It looks amazing! Man asian brands really do it best. I always touch my eyes so I always end up smudging my eyeliner or it ends up on the bottom so I have yet to find an amazing eyeliner.

  13. I actually haven't used any Asian branded liquid eyeliners before as I find them a bit on the pricier side! I've swatched a few Western branded ones and they don't seem to have the black pigmentation like Asian brands. When I holidayed in Malaysia I picked up some the Maybelline HyperSharp eyeliner which we don't have here in Australia but I'm yet to try it :P Great to hear that Heavy Rotation is heavy duty and applies well!

    1. It's likely this brand is no longer being carried! No worries, I highly recommend the Kiss me heroine brand eyeliner, it's my favorite, I've been using it for years now! Totally non-smudge and long lasting even on oilier skin!
