Want a perfect taupe trio? I know all beauty lovers who love neutrals will surely have a favorite taupe or two in your collection! I personally haven't experienced many mac eyeshadows but have been noticing how beautiful their neutrals are! I do like taupe although it's not the type of shade that I reach for immediately when I want to go neutral. I love bronzey types of browns a bit more than taupes on my eyes.
This beautiful trio from majolica majorca caught my eye as the center taupe shade was the most silvery liquid taupe shade when I swatched it in store so I had to grab this trio!

Packaging & Product!
I'm definitely a fan of the simple plastic packaging. This brand is a drugstore japanese brand under mother brand Shiseido. Although the packaging is plastic the cover unhinges nicely and pops right back so there's no chance that it would crack and break off so easily. The eyeshadows are also in a plastic pan unlike most that are in metal pans. It's super easy to depot and you won't have any broken or cracked eyeshadows as the plastic pan slips out so easily.
These shadows are simply divine! So smooth, pigmented, butter to the touch and super blendable. The three shades are all of a shimmery, super satin finish. The shimmer isn't very visible and it's not chunky at all, the finish looks almost like a liquid shiny metal which I personally love. This is most visible with the lightest and the taupe shade. The dark brown is not as metallic in finish.
These swatches below are without any primer. All three shades work beautifully by themselves although the lightest shade is very very shimmery and doesn't work well by itself all over the lid. The taupe and brown however are perfect as a single shadow look. All three shades also work together perfectly for a sultry taupe eye.
Worn over a cream shadow as a primer these last all day long and the colors don't shift or fade at all. I really believe this cool toned trio is perfect for any lady who loves a good silvery taupe or just loves neutrals in general.

Recommend: Yes! These beautiful eyeshadow trios have the lovely satin shimmery texture and the shades are just so easy and flawless to use! The price is also fantastic at average drugstore cost!
Repurchase: Yes! I've bought another more warm bronze trio from this line, (see my review here!)
Bottom line: This is an awesome trio to pick up for all those who love shimmery smooth eyeshadows. These colors pack a punch and I love how well the shadow blend out by themselves or with each other!

The colors look so pretty and pigmented on your swatches! I'm a fan of japanese eyeshadow palettes and this one looks really georgeous with very nice colors :)
ReplyDeleteWOW the shadows are indeed pigmented !! Which is quite rare for japanese make up as they mostly have tendency to be sheer, right?
ReplyDeleteMajolica Majorca is a brand I used a lot during my teenage year, but now as I am getting older and older ( lol ) I started to befriend with its older sisters like Shiseido, Shu Uemura, etc
The colors makes a nice neutral make up with

Thanks for the review! I think I might be skipping canmake eye shadows (no pigmentation what so ever!) next time I go to Japan and substitute them for Majorlica ;)
