Review: Shiseido Aqua Label White Up Liquid Foundation in BO10!

White Up Liquid Foundation! When I think drugstore, the brand Shiseido does not come to mind. It's a departmental store brand known for high quality make up and foundations. I'm fortunate enough that in Singapore they have released a drugstore sister brand called "Aqua Label" which is by Shiseido that sells skincare and a few cosmetic products!

I've tried their face cleanser and whitening cream (My review here!) and their softening lotion which were awesome and worked amazing well (except the cream). I've tried their compact powder once but I found the shades too yellow or too beige but this foundation looked great and I had to get it!

Continue below for the review!

Aqua Label White Up Liquid Foundation in BO10 I really like the plastic box packaging, the whole thing can be recycled and there's great labeling!

Packaging!

It's simple and I love it! The completely plastic box packaging I really approve of as the entire piece is light and it doesn't break open and it's completely recyclable! I much prefer this compared to packaging with cardboard and plastic which I think is very wasteful. Most make up in singapore doesn't come with hard packaging in the drugstore, most are vacuum wrapped twice with peel off plastic.

The vivid blue is because this belong to the whitening range where the packaging is all blue. This tiny little tube holds the standard 30ml and I have no complaints at all with the simplicity of this! It's light, small, easy to bring around and bold, I wouldn't ask for anything fancier.

It's the second swatch from the left, the shade BO10 is a light yellow shade that's perfect if you're a NC15-20. I've be very tan in the past but now that my skin has returned to it's natural color this really suits my pale yellow complexion!

My bare face! I have a few pimple scars and I had some darkness under my eyes!
Product!

This is a natural finish foundation that has a medium coverage. The shade I had BO10 is a light yellow that's great for NC15-20. It has a SPF of 23 which is sufficient and you get a standard 30ml. This foundation unfortunately like all asian brands comes with a very small range. There are only 4 shades in this line BO10, BO20 and OC10, OC20. The OC line is more beige whereas BO is more yellow.

When I tested this at the drugstore I really like how it felt, so smooth and bit liquidy and very natural in finish when it dried. There aren't many shades and in the past I've made the mistake of buying foundations that are too beige so I decided to go with the BO line instead of the OC which I usually went for in the past.

On application, one thin layer is enough to cover up light freckles and even under eye darkness. It's a very light weight feel on the face and is super comfortable even with and second layer. I like building it up where I need it like under the eyes. There's a lovely semi-matte finish which I am showing in the photos but I always set my bases with a dusting of pressed powder which prolongs the wear till the end of the day.

Wearing one layer of Shiseido Aqua Label White up Liquid foundation in BO10! (No concealer or anything else!)
If you are a NC or NW 15-25 you'll be able to find a match and I'd strongly recommend this line as it's of great quality and I'm always happy to reach for this for days when I want light or heavy make up! I also wonder how it comes to Shiseido brand foundations and would love to compare them!
Up close Shiseido Aqua Label White up Liquid foundation in BO10! It's a super natural looking finish and is semi-matte to the touch. There's a lovely glow to it!
Comparison to other foundations!

Bourjois Healthy Mix in 52 (My review), Aqua Label in BO10, L'oreal Lucent Magique in N2 (My review) and Rimmel Stay Matte in 200 Soft Beige (My review)!
All of these foundation are great matches for me as I'm fair enough now that the Aqua Label and the L'oreal lucent match me perfectly. The Rimmel is a bit too beige for me and I should've gone a shade lighter!

Aqua Label White Up Liquid Foundation in BO10
Paid: $25.50 SGD or about $20.30 USD

(This is regular drugstore foundation price here! Maybelline, L'oreal and Revlon are the same price!)

Recommend: Yes! If you are a NC/NW 15-25 you should be able to find a match and I'd totally recommend this for a skin like natural finish foundation. It's very comfortable and lasts so well throughout the day!

Repuchase: No, but only because I have so many foundations to use right now!

Bottom line: A great foundation for those with light yellow/beige tone skin, this gives lightweight medium coverage and looks so natural. I love how it wears and it's a great buy for a Shiseido product!

Do you have any Shiseido foundations?
Have you tried aqua label before?
Let me know!
