Peeling papaya wash! For those who have yet to try a peeling wash, it's quite an interesting thing. Quite a few of the cutesy asian brands like Etude House and The Face Shop have these gel/serumy textured face 'washes' that work as a non abrasive exfoliator. It's honestly hard to tell through use if the bits that are produced from these products are your actual dead skin or the product itself but it's still worth trying!
The Face Shop had two types of this peeling wash and I decided to go with this cheaper and also seemingly more effective one! I tested both in the store and this one produces much more peeling!

Packaging & Product!
Much
like most of the lines from The Face Shop this packaging is done up in
the way of many of their scrubs/washes where the main ingredient is an
image on the packaging! I quite enjoy the fun, straightforward and
simple design on the label and the bottle itself is quite basic. It's a
hard thick plastic bottle with a pump that comes with a stopper. It's
simply is a super basic design but it's light and it works very well!
My
only complaint is that the pump doesn't dispense as much as I'd like to
use at one time. I use at least 2-4 pumps for a nice solid dollop that I
find is enough for my whole face and down my neck. This peeling wash
feels like a thick gel and it's milky in color. There's a light scent
but it's sort of one of those scentless scents. The moment you start
using your fingers to rub this against your skin you will see and feel
bits coming together and these are suppose to be dead skin rubbing off.

This product is seriously gentle and I'm sure it would be great for all skin types. I think this also would be a great exfoliant for after a day in the sun or if you're sun burnt! I personally use this on bare skin days because this doesn't take make up off properly and you'll still feel the film of foundation on your face after using this.

Recommend: Yes! This is such an affordable and lovely product to use. I might still have a tiny bit of doubt of whether or not the peeling is actual skin but I believe it is after multiple tests one after another. This scentless, gel textured, light product is great for all skin types! It's not for taking off make up or improving bumps from oily skin but it's more of a super gentle peeling wash!
Repurchase: Yes, but not this exact one! I'd like one from Etude House next!
Bottom line: A very effective, gentle and easy to use scrub free exfoliating wash. I think most people will be very fascinated by how it works and feels. It's a super affordable peeling wash to use too!

I think I might need to try this! I've always been curious about peeling gels ever since the Cure gel!

Whoaaaa, I've never seen something like that before. I think that the peeling off part would take a bit of getting used to, but it sounds so nice. I love gentle cleansers.

ReplyDeleteI have had peeling face washes before that have not worked at all but this one seems good :)
I would love to try some Asian cosmetics some day but for that, I need to go to Asia and I can´t afford that right now ;)
xx
Nice find! I have used something like this from Tony Moly and it worked well too for me. I wanna use the Etude House version as well! Oh so many products I want! Lol
ReplyDeleteOoh Interesting. I'd love to try out something from the Face Shop again because my first experience with a few of their masks wasn't the greatest. Papaya is known to do wonders for the skin so this looks promising.
