FOTD: Simple Bright neutral eye look (pork rib noodles and chocolate cake)!

Simple, bright and neutral! Here's a typical type of neutral eye look that I usually will create for a day out! On days I'm home I'm always 100% bare faced but when I need to go into town this is a normal look I'd put on, it takes me about 30 minutes to do this! I love reaching for shimmery brown neutrals shades for bright looking eyes, paired with a pink cheek I'd say this is my 'go to' look!

On this day my parents and I went to visit a new small shopping mall that opened up recently near us! Even though there are quite a few eateries and restaurants there because of the large crowds since it's new we ate at a small food court. The food was surprisingly very good and then we headed to a small cafe for some dessert!

Review: Solone Fantasy Wonderland Eyeshadow Kit!

Fantasy Wonderland Eyeshadow kit! Hello ladies! Today I've got an exciting product to bring you! This eyeshadow palette was kindly sent to me and is from a leading Taiwanese cosmetics brand which is widely sold in Singapore and Malaysia currently. I've purchased an eyeshadow palette from them in the past (my review here) and I've always been curious about their gel pencils and other products as they're brand is super fun, creative and has plenty of bold shades in the eyeliner/eyeshadow department!

In Singapore this brand Solone can be found at John Little, Sasa outlets and a few other independent beauty shops. Do check them out as in Singapore the price of their products are equivalent to other western drugstore brands and I've much rather purchase from Asian brands at times honestly!

Rave Review: 4U2 Splash Velvet Eyeshadow in shade 4!

Rich Velvet Eyeshadows! This super fun looking palette was purchased in Bangkok, Thailand some time ago. It's by a brand that's under Bel Air Cosmetics USA but is made in Thailand. This line has great products, all which seemed pigmented, smooth and really good quality when I swatched them in store! I felt that the quality of this quad was so good I bought a different one to give to my blogger friend Pam when we did a swap in the past!

Don't be doubtful of this quad just because of the sort of teenage looking designed packaging! The quality of the eyeshadows is seriously superb! If you love shimmery/metallic eyeshadows do check out this brand if you're in Thailand (at watsons/beautrium), it's also sold in the Philippines, or on this website for those in Singapore/Malaysia!

10 Things: Beauty Mistakes I've made!

We all make mistakes! I find that it's best that we recognize them at some point and feel bad then to never notice them at all! Here I bring a fun post full of exaggerated photos of 'mistakes' I've made when it comes to make up! This post was inspired by Yige from Yet Another Beauty Blog and her make up mistakes post! I thought for a short while and knew that I had many mistakes I could include, hence I decided to make this part of my '10 Things' series.

Review: Lorac Unzipped Eyeshadow Palette!

Unzipped gorgeous shadows with Lorac! Yes, this palette isn't exactly the newest and hottest palette in store but it's one that I only became an owner of about half a year ago. I had waited several months for this to come back into stock on the local cosmetic site in Singapore Shopping-district! It had sold out so quickly after being available and then when I wanted to buy it, it went out of stock for more than 3 months! Shortly after I did purchase it, the product went out of stock all over again! This is one of many products that are 'hot' on the site because 90% of the products they sell cannot be bought in store in Singapore!

I took several months to decide with Lorac palette I wanted as I knew that the half matte half shimmery Lorac Pro is very popular and has gorgeous shades too. However I much prefer the smaller size of this palette and how there's more mid-tone shades that are beautifully shimmery just the way I love them!

Wide awake eye look using 1028 Macaron palette and a delicious thai dinner!

Wide awake eyes! It's been trending and popular for years and is always a look most ladies would wear! Looking bright and wide awake is always a plus. I find that korean/japanese make up trends that usually use sheer colors or bright neutral shadows really help to create this 'wide awake' type look which is really flattering on everyone. This look is easily achieved with one single shadow or more if you'd like! Here I'm using shades from 1028's Macaron palette!

Food Post: All things eaten during January and February 2015!

Foodie round up time! For those who have followed my blog and particularly my food posts, every two or three months I will post a round up of things I've eaten/made at home! The last two months were quite fruitful with plenty of things eaten out and made fresh at home! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a few new snacks, ate at a fried chicken place well known that we avoided due to the long line and made a delicious rich beef stew in my new cast iron pot!

Holiday Special: Duty Free Haul from my Bangkok Holiday! (Jan 2015)

Duty Free Hauling! Hey ladies! This duty free haul was from Bangkok's International airport! I had taken a trip to Bangkok with my mother earlier in January and for those who don't know their duty free selection for cosmetics is pretty freaking INSANE. They usually have 95% of everything in stock (UNLIKE SINGAPORE'S COSMETIC SECTION) and they have got a much wider range of brands sold in their duty free too which is such a pleasure to browse! I usually take at least 45 minutes- 1.5 hours to browse, compare and decide on what I want to get because their selection is awesome!

For those who missed or would like to see other days from holiday do click on the following links! Day 1 (see here), Day 2 (see here), Day 3 (see here) , Day 4 (see here) my big make up haul (see here) and my skincare/body care haul (see here)!

Review: 1028 Visual Therapy UV White CC Essence SPF 50 shade 01 Light Beige!

UV White CC Cream! Unlike 80% of everyone else in the asian beauty world who probably have either tried or owned one or a few CC creams by this point this is the second I've ever tried! The first I've ever tried was a color adjusting one from Mikatvonk (see my review here), it's was good overall but not something I reach for often. It's best for those of fair-light skintone and prefer light coverage! Therefore I went searching for another CC cream to try!

The Taiwanese brand 1028 Visual Therapy has been in Singapore for more than a year now and they sell awesome quality products at our average drugstore prices! I've bought and tried two 6 pan palettes from them, the Macaron (review here) and the Brownie Eyes (review here) eyeshadow palettes and they both are AMAZING!

Burnt soft pink eyes, neon pink lips and claypot rice dinner!

Bold lips and lights! Hey there ladies! Believe it or not, this post was intended to be post by earlier January earliest but it went unnoticed and here we are with a belated post that was meant to go with the Christmas festive period! Here I'm using a stunning neon hot pink lip crayon from Tony Moly which I received in the Special #42 OMG 3 memebox!

I went out for dinner with my parents and dad brought us to a local restaurant that is famous for their claypot rice! It was our first time eating there and the food was great! After dinner, we took a drive through the heart of Singapore to check out the Christmas decorations before heading home!

Rave review: Sleek i-divine Candy palette!

Candy eyeshadow palette! How many of you love products that are candy, cake and sweet themed? When this collection came out at first I bought the cheek trio palette (which unfortunately I rarely touch) however in time I realized that I NEEDED this palette. Totally in love with the mix of shimmery and matte wearable colors!

Sleek is an awesome brand for amazing quality blushes and eyeshadow palettes in general. Their lipsticks are also fabulous but the one thing you must get from them is an eyeshadow palette! I've order many times from their website, it's fast and easy to use!

Rave Review: Brigitte Five Essence BB Powder in shade 02 Pearl Beige!

Five Essence BB Powder! Here is another awesome face product from the Japanese brand Brigitte! A fairly newer drugstore brand in Singapore, the quality of their make up surpasses more common brands like L'oreal and Maybelline but are priced similarly here. I originally purchased a gorgeous set with an eyeshadow palette, lipgloss and false lash from them (review here) and since then have purchased another palette and recently was provided a BB cream from the company to try which was fantastic (review here)!

In the last year I've been trying different combinations of powders to set my foundation/base as it's just so humid and hot in Singapore that setting your face is a must with some type of powder. I used to purely use a foundation powder but have been trying out different loose powders. I was very excited to receive this to try and it's been yet another fantastic product from Brigitte!

Enchanting Gradient Golden Berry eyes! (Japanese dessert and chicken dinner)

Enchanting eyes with golden berry tones! When I think golden browns and purple tones I always think of fall and winter but these shades honestly are perfect year round especially on us ladies with dark brown eyes! This look was inspired by the cranberry dress I wore. I wanted something that was complex and had multiple tones but yet subtle and colorful. This look wasn't planned out so I totally was in love when it turned out so well.

On the day I did this look my boyfriend and I headed into town for a movie! Before the movie I had a craving for a soft hot waffle so we did stop by a casual Japanese cafe before the movie. Afterwards we had dinner at our favorite Indonesian Ayam Penyat restaurant that's famous for their fried smashed chicken rice dish!

Food post: Mini banana chocolate muffins and home made pizza!

Straight out of the oven! Here I bring you just two things I baked sometime ago! I love using our big wall oven but it's been out cold and not working for the last two months so I haven't been able to bake any cookies, cakes and whole chickens! Really bummed but it should be fixed in the next month so I'll be bake baking! We have a small table top oven which will make do!

Here my boyfriend and I made pizzas and I made mini banana muffins to bring to work! The boyfriend loves making home made dough, the type that is meant to rise over night slowly in the fridge and then proofed again the next day giving us a strong, lovely crust!

Review: Beauty Buffet The Bakery Lollipop Blusher in 01!

Lollipop blusher! Are the rest of you like me and get all happy inside when you see make up that looks like candy/food? I'm a huge admirer of make up and skincare that is packaged, scented, colored or themed like food of some sort but I personally don't own many items like so. This blush I picked up while on holiday with my boyfriend in Bandung, Indonesia (see the make up haul here!)

'The Bakery" is a line under Beauty Buffet which is a brand from Thailand which sells a huge range of skincare and make up with products made mostly all in Thailand and Korea. (See my Bangkok make up haul here and skincare haul here!)

Rich Burgundy eyes and lips! (Lunch at Wine Connection Katong)

Rich Burgundy make up and a delicious lunch! It may seem from my blog posts that include food that I eat out or cook amazing meals quite often (which isn't untrue) but the truth is that I don't eat out at even casual outlets very frequently! My family and myself mostly cook at home and eat at the local food courts as food is affordable and in general good quality.

I've been wanting to eat at Wine Connection for a while as the prices of all their food items are CHEAPER than places considered lower in quality and class such as Swensens and Jack's Place. The prices range mostly from $7-25 for appetizers to main courses with certain more special items over $30 like their Surf & Turf platter ($49) and their Paella ($29). Not to mention the huge range of wines from champagne, moscatos, whites and reds! From affordable to more expensive pieces!
