Dark Smokey Brown eye with a soft pink lip! (lunch at Brotzeit)

Dark, Smokey and a German lunch date! This simple but yet subtle enough dark brown smokey eye was done some weeks ago for a daytime date! Having received the Urban Decay Smoked palette last year from my boyfriend I've been in love every single time I used any shades from it. The browns in the palette make for a variety of smokey eyes but my favorite is a gradient dark brown one!

The boyfriend and I decided to have a late lunch at the German franchise restaurant here in Singapore called "Brotzeit". It served authentic german food and beers at affordable prices! And finally I ordered something new!

Review: NYX round lipsticks in shades Eucalyptus, Chloe, Fire, Chaos and Hero!

Round lipstick hoard! For those who haven't heard of this super creamy lippies by NYX they were one of the first products I hoarded in my first NYX purchase which was through on online group spree. I loved how they were cheap and were so pigmented. These are the original packaging and formulation as now they have been renamed "Extra creamy round lipstick" and the packaging changed slightly.

Here I had 5 shades, which is only a fraction of their huge range, there's about 100 or so color choices currently listed on nyxcosmetics.com! I had bought multiples of certain shades and have since given several away to to mother, grandmother and have one more shade that's not in this review!

Review: Mikatvonk CC cream whitening anti-winkle in 01 Natural Beige!

Color changing CC Cream! Yes, I know, I know! CC creams have been out for sometime now but I've been very slow to try any as I'm just not keen on buying something that's like a BB cream but seemingly half the time less pigmented! However recently I've been seeing some awesome reviews of more pigmented ones and I've got my eye on the Bourjois CC cream but I'm going to have to order it online through ASOS if I decide to buy it.

Here I have a CC cream from the brand Mikatvonk or Mik@vonk! I've done a review of a BB cream from them a short while ago that had an amazing color match to me and so when I was sent this by the same company I was quite keen to see how it would perform!

Simple shimmery purple look with a plum cheek!

Wearable daytime purple! For those who are not the biggest fans of super bright or bold colors on the eyes, the way to get started or to get comfortable is to choose one color and work it onto the eyes with a highlight and a brown in the crease! You can replace the purple I used with any other color, a green, blue, pink or orange! Have fun with this simple shadow placement!

Rave reivew: Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow (01 pearly white, 05 rosy brown, 10 emerald green, 15 lilac)

Longlasting Stick Shadows for you? I had only discovered cream stick eyeshadow about two years ago. A good cream stick eyeshadow is creamy, pigmented, blends out easily and is super waterproof so it can be worn on its own or as a base.

I had seen that Kiko has a beautifully large colorful range of these stick cream shadows and as part of a large beauty swap I asked for these four shades! Check out my swap with Pam from Jade in the Palace here!

Flawless brown smoked eyes, plush false lashes and vixen red lips!

Red lips and ready! When heading out for a date lunch or dinner I try my best to go bold on the lips or eyes! I used to really shy away from deep and bold lipsticks because I found it difficult to deal with lipstick on my sensitive slightly dry lips that peel a lot but I've now found ways so that my lipstick lasts and looks good!

Here is a straightforward vixen red lip dinner time look! A simple neutral smoked brown eye with plush false lashes and bold red lips using my NYX round lipstick!

Review: 3CE Back to Baby BB cream! (3 Concept Eyes)

Back to Baby BB! Now that so many companies from Asian to Western are producing their version of a BB cream it's hard to figure out which one to buy first or try! I personally prefer a medium coverage BB cream with a more yellow undertone.

The BB cream I have here today is from the much sought after brand 3CE which is slowing getting onto everyone's radar! Currently I own this BB cream and a foundation from them which will be eventually reviewed!

Pink and garnet smokey eye using the Lorac Unzipped palette!

Day to night pink smokey eye! When most people think 'smokey' eye most think of black, gray, browns and other deep earthy colors but I love doing more wearable and light looking smokey type eyes with pinks and peaches! Having owned my Lorac Unzipped palette for a while now I decided to combine the pale pinks with a touch of the deeper garnet shade!

Review: L'oreal Lucent Magique Blush of Light Glow Palette in Duchess Rose!

Glowing cheeks with Lucent Magique! Several months ago I bought the L'oreal Lucent Magique foundation which is Asia's equivalent of the True Match Lumi and it was fantastic! See my review of the foundation here! It's super long wearing, has great coverage and makes your skin seems like it's glowing.

I had seen the blushes in this line a few times and finally decided to pick up the blush in Duchess Rose! It's a trio of colors of a dusty rose color, exactly my favorite type of blush color for any occasion!

Simple smokey pink and bronze eye using Brigitte eyeshadow! (Lunch at Nando's)

Simple, subtle and smokey! I rarely do truly dark smokey looks and try to avoid using black or gray eyeshadows as I feel they too often easily go from smokey to muddy and overwhelming. I love smoked out looks using browns so I often go with pink and browns as my combination of choice for something pretty and easy!

As for lunch at Nando's, this was going to be my third time eating at Nando's and all I wanted was chicken, a spicy sauce and grilled sweet corn!

Kawaii Stationary Haul! (Rilakkuma bear and Sumikko Gurashi)

Super Kawaii Stationary! I don't know why it took me so long to jump onto the kawaii bandwagon collection stationary or accessories! I know of many people who just love one character or several and will buy any thing that has the character on it! From pens, notebooks, cups, sweaters, stickers, pouches and all kinds of collection and useful goods! I've really held off from buying all these things because when I was younger I did buy these things but looking back they were mostly a waste of money.

Out of the cutesy characters I know my favorite are Rilakkuma bear (and also the line bear because of its face) and this group of 'creatures' called Sumikko Gurashi! I bought everything at the Stationary Superstore at Funan Digital Life Mall!

Rave review: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet! (02, Nude-ist, 06 Ping Pong, 02 Frambourjoise)

Rouge Edition Velvets! I'm sure that by now all of us or almost all of us in the beauty blogging world has come across or seen plenty of reviews of these babies! They are candy to the eyes and a super product for all skin types when it comes to lip products! These cream lip stains have a matte finish, have great colors and are suppose to stay on and on and look and feel amazing!

I suffer from always slightly dry lips and they also peel everyday no matter how I take care of my lips. Hence when I heard that the formula of these were a dream I took the plunge, bought two and then went back for another!

Deep smoky brown eyes and a cherry pink lip! (Japanese lunch)

Japanese lunching! On this particular day I had a delicious lunch with my grandma and my mother at our favorite affordable Japanese restaurant franchise Ichiban Sushi! I've always loved Japanese cuisine and all other asian foods since I as young as I've always eaten all kinds of cuisines since I was young so it's not strange or unusual for the family to eat Pho, then ramen, then kebab and then curry!

For this day out it was going to be a simple day and I wanted something smoky, deep and easy and reached for my Too Face Natural Eye Kit!

Rave review: Zoeva make up brushes! (Stippling, Silk Finish, Face Shape, Concealer Buffer, Crease, Eye Blender, Eye Finish)

Zoeva make up brush love! I know this brand has been just exploding everywhere on blogs and on youtube! I've already owned these brushes for more than 4 months now and have had such an amazing time with each and every one of these beauties. If you can't afford expensive or top notch make up, you should at least focus on getting quality brushes! The best thing is that good brushes often don't have to cost you an arm or leg!

I purchased all of these in two different purchases from Luxola.com as it's the most convenient for me living in Singapore! I just couldn't believe how damn cheap these sold for as no name brands, eco tools and Real techniques retail here for up to double the price of most of Zoeva's!
