Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in Berry Smoothie, Brown Sugar, Strawberry Shortcake! (050, 020, 080)

Balmy, shiny, Lip Butters! I'd believe by now everyone has heard of these babies? Colored balms in a lipstick case, don't you just love how their case matches the shade of the product? I do! Things like this just like Bourjois single blush packaging really gives a product a fun and practical quality!

I picked these three up seperately and when there was 20% sale for revlon products! I bought Brown sugar first a few months ago, then Berry Smoothie and most recently Strawberry shortcake!

Continue below for swatches and the quick review!

Packaging!

Really digging the packaging in general, I love the matching cases, how they're quilted, the hard plastic, the twist up. Nothing to complain about since everythings labelled and nothings coming apart, although in terms of packaging to the product, over some use the lip balm twists around and I need to use my fingers to twist the product back otherwise the slant is off!

Product!

This lip butter products is as great as its hailed to be, pigmented, creamy, 'buttery', moisturizing and very soothing for the lips. Unlike lipsticks that cake or flake these are lighter in how they feel. I think these are great for beginners in make up and would be a good special gift for younger girls.

In terms of lasting qualities, these don't perform anywhere as great as thicker lipsticks. You do need a lot of reapplication through the day. They really are like any lipbalm except this is thicker and has good pigmentation. I'd wear this when I want color and not have to worry about flaking in the corners of my mouth. If this smears, it easily wipes off.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in Berry Smoothie, Brown Sugar, Strawberry Shortcake! (050, 020, 080)
Paid: UP $15.90 SGD or $13 USD (I bought them on 20% off at $12.80 SGD)

Recommend: Completely! However do keep in mine they are not long lasting and will finish quickly with frequent use!

Repurchase: Singapore still does not have all 20 shades, I believe we now have 12, I may want Macaroon and Peach parfait!

Bottom line: Medium to full color depending on the shade you choose, these are moist and very nice on the lips, like a slick balm. For more sensitive or dry lips, a touch of this is very nice. I'd pick these again! They're so wearable!

What shades of the Revlon Lip Butters do you fancy?
Any favorite? Any wants?

  5. I love the packaging of the Revlon lip butters and I just love the name of them too! I got Berry Smoothie too and it's such a gorgeous shade :) It's great that the lip butters are sheer too so they are more forgiving than lipsticks which are more pigmented!

    1. That's the thing...it can either be a hit or miss due to their smooth and sheer moist quality but for not so experience or heavy duty make up girls, this is perfect I think! ^^

  6. I own 5 lip butters and I must say, as much as I want to love them, I just can't. They are okay, but not amazing.. T.T
I find them to be a little bit 'too shimmery' for me, and sticky too. Don't get me wrong, I do like them, but I don't really get why they are so hyped.
Anyway, I am glad that you love them!! I gave mine to my sister and she likes them so much! so maybe the problem is me, not the innocent lip butters. lol

    1. I can get where you're completely coming from...they aren't 'amazing' but they are very easy to use. Amazing I think would be very long lasting as well as color lasting, can't blame you for finding them okay, glad you gave them to your sis!! ^^

  9. They look so gorgeous! I think the darker colours in the range look so nice but I'm such a nude lips person myself I haven't thought to try the Lip Butters. They must look so awesome on you, since you have bombshell lips! *jealous

    1. Ahh, I totally adore the dark ones too but I find the slippery quality not that great with dark colors, I'm afraid of smearing and bleeding! Thanks, they're natural! ^^
