Skincare review: Biore Aqua Rich UV Face Mousse!

Mousse me up! After having seen this line from Biore many times again in store and having helped bought a blogger friend a version of this sunblock I decided to pick up the mousse formula! I'm someone who doesn't ever wear sunblock, even though I'm developing pigmentation and skin needs protection I've always just been lazy or hate the feeling of sunblock products!

This product is meant to not be sticky or dewy and with the high sun protection factor I had to pick this up to try and use beneath my make up!

Continue below for the review!
Biore Aqua Rich UV Watery Face Mousse SPF 50+
A "Soft UV Mousse", this is meant to have long lasting protection and is suppose to be light like "water" and softening!
This is the thing...unless I'm wearing nothing on my face except sunblock I will never be reapplying mine as I would likely have make up on!
Packaging!

Received in a matte silver soft squeezey tube, this 33gs worth of product is very sleeky and conviniently packaged! I really like that the tube is long, slim and the nozzle that the product comes out of is very small so you can control how much dispenses very easily.

It's very simply labelled and the plastic is a sturdy soft type that won't easily get punctured! I really love the packaging, it's easy for using, traveling and storing!

A dollop of Biore Aqua Rich UV Watery Face Mousse SPF 50+
This is how much product you need for half your face, a small tiny squeeze. It has a slightly grainy texture which I think is the 'micro capsules' but they break up and smooth up very fast.

Blended out-Biore Aqua Rich UV Watery Face Mousse SPF 50+
Product!

A slightly grainy textured white looking mousse, the grains are little capsules in the mousse that blend right into a smooth light texture all over the skin when blended with fingers. There is a very light sunblock smell but its very light and a bit sweet so no where as cloying as actual sunblock.

You need a very small amount which blend out very evenly and gets absorbed into the skin very quickly, it leaves your skin soft and slightly velvety. No sticky or dewy finish, this is good as a base for make up especially if you don't have any or much SPF in your foundation/base.

This does leave your complexion slightly brightened but not in a greyish or pinkish way like too light BB creams but an actual 'lightened' looking shade of your skin. I still haven't worn this on its own out but I can see myself doing so because it's a lovely mattish velvet texture when dry.

It takes a bit of time to blend the product into your skin! It melts away and is not sticky or dewy!
Wearing one layer of Biore Aqua Rich UV Watery Face Mousse SPF 50+
One layer of Biore Aqua Rich UV Watery Face Mousse leaves your skin brightened with a slight white cast but I use it as a base under my make up!
Paid: $18.90 SGD or about $14.90 USD

Recommend: Yes! It has a super velvety finish, that's not dewy or sticky. I could actually see myself wearing this by itself although I wear it as a make up base when I do. I think it would work well for those with oilier skin types!

Repurchase: Maybe! I really do like this formula and have and been using it without any issues of stickiness or other side effects of regular sunblock but I'm looking to try something new again!

Bottom line: An all rounder sunscreen base, not dewy or sticky, this oily skin friendly mousse textured product is something I've really enjoyed. Not something I've ever thought about any sunblock product as I hate wearing sunblock! This has been a pleasure to use!

Where do you get your sunscreen in your make up?
Have you tried Biore bases?
Let me know!

Thank you!

  1. I've tried the watery formula and I didn't really like it too much because it had a really strong alcohol scent to it and dried out my skin but I'm really curious about the mousse-y texture now! May have to get my hands on this when I head back home to Jakarta next month :)

but i may have to try this.. since it's a mousse formula and it looks like it goes on so well! and your skin really does look "brighter" at the end that's amazing.. your skin looks so pretty even without make up on!
