Review: Memebox Special #32: OMG 2!

OMG 2! I was lucky enough to be sent this memebox from the company about two weeks ago now to review! I've since used everything but one item and it's time to do an all encompassing reviewing of this box! According to Memebox, the Memebox Special #32: OMG 2 is suppose to come with 4-8 full sized products of which I received 6 products mostly all fulled sized. This box is a skincare box with items for the face and two types of face mask.

I was super excited on knowing I was getting my first memebox ever and although I'm always a bit more excited when it comes to make up, I was not disappointed by the array and performance of products in the OMG 2!

Rose gold molten bronze eye look!

Rose gold bronzy eyes! I love neutral eyes but it's rare that I use only shades of brown when I'm doing my typical neutral eye look! I tend to use pinks, peaches, golds both cool and warm tones of dark browns to make my looks more interesting and more depth! This look was done for work, I was digging around my single and small palette shadows and realized I hadn't used my l'oreal infallible shadows in a while and decided to whip out the pink shade for this look!

Rave Review: Brigitte Angelic Collection Romantic Prologue set!

Be Angelic and Romantic with Brigitte! Guys, seriously, for those of us ladies who can't resist a good bargain it's so damn hard to save when it comes to spending less on beauty items! I'll say that my collection is small for a beauty addict, all those ginormous ones on youtube where the girl has 4 ikea shelving units for just make up...no, mine is nothing like that! However when drugstore make up averages $15-25 USD here for single items like an eyeliner, foundation, eyeshadow palette a good deal can't be wasted!

Brigitte is a japanese brand that's super princess looking, something like Majolica Majorca but more refined and a bit more high end. I had seen that their eyeshadow palettes retail for $29 SGD at Watsons and their lipglosses at around $20 SGD. So when I saw this set selling at Sasa for $34 I just HAD TO GET IT. DON'T BLAME ME.

Top 10: All around Pet Peeves (2014)

My top Pet Peeves! It was one late night, basically early morning about two weeks ago I think when I was drafting some 'Top 10 Beauty Pet Peeves' for a blog post but I just couldn't stop thinking about just things that seriously bother me that aren't beauty related. Like anyone I have plenty of pet peeves or things just bother me about the world and other people but here are 10 that I think are quite significant in my life at the moment.

Caution before hand. This blog post is long, lots of text and are all my honest opinion. If you disagree or feel differently it's none of your business to tell me that I'm wrong or that I'm a bad person. We all have different opinions for different reasons. That's life. Go ahead and share how you feel but don't expect me to agree with you or be convinced otherwise. I don't go out of my way to offend people or to disturb their lives so I expect the same unless you're ready for a debate.

This is Ocha, the pet cat of a friend of mine! This is the kind of face I have when thinking of the pet peeves I've listed below. Hehehe..'pet'....no pun intended. Check out Ocha's (Facebook page here!)

Smokin' molten chocolate taupe eyes with a matte red lip!

Molten chocolate eyes, red lips and delicious food! For the most part if you've seen the posts on this blog, it's generally either beauty related or food related....a touch of fashion and other occasions out but that's it! This post was of the day my boyfriend came back from being abroad for about two weeks two months ago. I was in a rush to the airport as the scheduled landing time was actually somewhat later than the actual landing time so I was on time!

I created my favorite smoking chocolate eye using the Smoked palette my boyfriend gifted me and went with something bolder on the lips!

Rave review: Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm in 010 Rose & Woody!

My perfect nude lip crayon! After having such great success with my first Catrice lip balm crayon, which was sent to me as part of a swap I decided to go ahead and get another color now that these are being sold in Singapore! I was so surprised by how this stayed even and didn't dry up my lips hence as a dry and sensitive lip girl I had the confidence to go ahead and get another shade! Check out my review of the shade (Don't Think Just Pink here!)

Rave review: theBalm Instain Long Wearing Staining Powder Blush!(Houndstooth and Pinstripe)

Instain and in love! For the ladies who also have a die hard love for blushes like me it's always hard to look away or over look new releases of raved off blush products! I would kill to own several tarte blushes and a baked Chanel one too but I'm really trying to control myself. I'd seen these several times at Sasa here in Singapore but held back for weeks and then I couldn't control myself any longer!

I just knew months ago that I would love to own several shades from them! According to other ladies reviews these are meant to be super long wearing, hence the 'stain' in the name and they also come in a few finishes, although all look very pigmented.

Review: Yves Rocher exfoliating shower gel in Blackberry!

Exfoliating Blackberry gel! For all those who have been following my blog for a while I usually don't have many skincare/body care product reviews but I'm hoping to slow increase them! I've been testing and using a lot of skincare and taking note of how they perform so that I'll be able to review them soon! This beautiful strong scented blackberry exfoliating shower gel is from Yves Rocher! I didn't plan to buy this but came across their new shop at the time in the basement of Ngee Ann city!

They have an amazing range of more usual scents and ingredients compared to The Body Shop but more importantly the prices are so much cheaper and you get the same or larger amount of product! I ended up walking out of the shop, spending less than $30 and two full sized body washes!

Special Occasion: My grandma's birthday dinner! (Chinese feast dinner)

Happy 80th birthday mama! That's what I call my maternal grandmother! It doesn't have the same accent as how an Italian would call their mother or how you see toddlers call out to their mothers...the first 'a' goes up in accent and the second goes down. It's a slang in our teochew dialect. This year marks her big 80th and because of superstition we didn't have this big chinese feast dinner on her actual birthday date but on the day before! This dinner was held back in July but I hadn't gotten around to writing this post!

My mother booked a private room at a chinese restaurant downtown which we had eaten at before for lunch for dim sum (see our giant dim sum lunch here)! The dinner was a few hundred dollars as my mom paid extra for a whole suckling pig as the set she chose only came with half!

Everyday smoked purple and brown look! (Urban Decay Vice 2)

Wearable purple and brown! For most of us, we tend to go super simple or neutral for daily types of everyday looks! I love neutrals and the richness of going from pink, peaches, golds, bronzes and deep browns for all kinds of everyday looks! However now and again I want to use a light wash or bit more of a 'colorful' shade on my lids!

Today I have a shimmery purple look using a matte brown to smoke it out in the crease for a subtle everyday pretty purple look! Nothing dark or too smokey!

Rave review: Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser!

Ibuki Purifying Cleanser! For those who aren't aware many asian skincare lines have several types of cleansers...usually there's a 'gentle' one and a 'purifying' one. I have used up two types of cleanser from Shiseido's more affordable line Aqua label and they were damn amazing. I decided it was about time to buy one from Shiseido!

I've been eyeing products from the Ibuki range which is targeted for youth and ladies in their 20s. I knew I wanted something that could take off make up besides being a face wash so I knew I had to get the purifying cleanser!

The Beauty Blogger TAG!

Beauty Blogger Tag! To be honest, I've been very kindly tagged a few times by fellow beauty bloggers but have just never gotten around to these things. I'm super concentrated on my regular reviews and look posts so even when I receive a nomination or blog award I don't immediately get to it. For those who have been with my blog for a while it should be obvious that I don't show you much of my life but that's because I don't intend for this blog to be a window into my life however I really need to do a couple of these super fun tags!

No, I was not tagged by anyone to this one but I've seen several versions of questions by doing some light searching! I decided on using the set that Filia from My Sugarcoffee beauty blog did!

Review: The Face Shop Mild Papaya Peeling wash!

Peeling papaya wash! For those who have yet to try a peeling wash, it's quite an interesting thing. Quite a few of the cutesy asian brands like Etude House and The Face Shop have these gel/serumy textured face 'washes' that work as a non abrasive exfoliator. It's honestly hard to tell through use if the bits that are produced from these products are your actual dead skin or the product itself but it's still worth trying!

The Face Shop had two types of this peeling wash and I decided to go with this cheaper and also seemingly more effective one! I tested both in the store and this one produces much more peeling!

Dinner date at Jerry's BBQ & Grill at Jalan Kayu!

Level 4 Buffalo wings for dinner! For those who love wings, soups, fried appetizers and that kind of steak house, BBQ house type of foods my advance apologies for possibly starting your tummy on a frenzy! There's a really awesome western dining cafe near by where I live (which is a remotish part of singapore) and having not been there for more than 5 years I thought it was time to go back!

Summery bronze icing eyes and my perfect soft pink lips!

Ice, bronze and a soft pink on the lips! For the most part we have 'summer' weather all year long here in Singapore. It's always hot and humid and it gets pretty wet at times during the year. Therefore there is no real 'summer' time or 'fall' time, I pretty much wear any kind of look or colors I like anytime of the year! However when I think of summer, I do think of more warm shades and shimmer/satins on the eyes with lighter lip shades and light textures.

Here I've done a simple ice bronze type eye and I paired it with a touch of blush and a soft pink lip!

Rave Review: Cathy Doll Vit C Cookie Blusher in 01 Winter Red Tea!

Hand over that Cookie Blusher! Okay, so I have to admit that despite the HUGE amount of beauty items I bought when I had a holiday in Bangkok, Thailand last year (see my haul here!) I really regret not picking up more things! I know, I know, I have one face, two eyes, two cheeks, one big mouth and only 10 fingers and toes to apply things to!

Karmart is a korean beauty shop that has so many outlets all over bangkok and in this outlet at the entrance of a train station stop I just had to pick up this beauty of a baked blusher! I mean, just the marbelized finish caught my eye and how glowy it was on swatch! I also sent one to Pam from Jade in the Palace in a swap!

Acid Green Forest eye and a cranberry cheek! (Dim Sum lunch)

Gimme that Acid! Here I have to present a super bright acid green forest gradient eye look! I just took a look into my greens and realized I wanted something super bright but wanted it to still be wearable for going out in the day time! Most people would like to wear neons or super bright colors but it's a bit scary so turning it into a gradient makes it more wearable although quite done up!

For lunch, my family and I headed over to an outlet of Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza. We ate a total of 17 dim sum items! This is because there was my brother and I who are huge eaters when it comes to dim sum! The food was just delicious!

Review: Shiseido Aqua label Bright White EX!

Light and Bright! For Asian women for many generations having a clear, bright and 'white' complexion has been an ideal! You'll see women in the hot and humid climates in south eat asia walking around or bike riding under the hot sun with long sleeves, sleeve caps or jackets just to prevent a tan.

Aqua label's blue line of skincare products are meant for whitening and brightening! This whitening serum from Aqua label caught my eye as I was looking for one just for spot usage on my face on areas with visible pigmentation/scars. I've tried a concentrated whitening gel from them before so I thought I'd change it up with this instead!
