Shimmery and pastel! I'm a huge fan of shimmery and colorful shades! Especially most of the colors in the beautiful Snapshots palette which has some wonderful easy to use pale colorful shimmery shades!

I was getting ready to go out for lunch with my mom and the boyfriend and I wanted something fun and colorful on the eyes! When I was finished, I thought, "This looks like a bowl of colorful cotton candy on my eyes!" Tell me what you think below!

Haul: Luxola and Shopping disctrict! (Alpha H, Steam cream, Z-palette)

Luxola haul time! This haul was done more than a month ago but I was so excite waiting for these lovely bits I made sure I was home when the order was scheduled to arrive! For those who don't know Luxola is a singapore based beauty store that has international shipping and is known for stocking up on a variety of brands that can't be found in Singapore or bought locally in South East Asia.

They also carry a lot of Zoeva brushes which are mostly out of stock because they are so popular and more luxurious brands like Rouge Bunny Rouge and SKII, although don't expect full lines available for all brands.

Dusty rose eyes and a moist pink lip! (Giant dim sum lunch)

Delicate dusty rose eyes! When in doubt, I tend to go neutral and pinkish or shimmery rose shades to be specific! This look was done with my new Lorac Unzipped palette! I am a huge fan of shimmery and satin eyeshadows so steer away if you're looking for a matte shadow look!

The family went out to try a chinese restaurant down town which had a 40% off all their dim sum during lunchtime so we thought since they had such a wide dim sum menu we would head over and order one of almost everything!

Review: Majolica Majorca Majolook trio in BR799!

Want a perfect taupe trio? I know all beauty lovers who love neutrals will surely have a favorite taupe or two in your collection! I personally haven't experienced many mac eyeshadows but have been noticing how beautiful their neutrals are! I do like taupe although it's not the type of shade that I reach for immediately when I want to go neutral. I love bronzey types of browns a bit more than taupes on my eyes.

This beautiful trio from majolica majorca caught my eye as the center taupe shade was the most silvery liquid taupe shade when I swatched it in store so I had to grab this trio!

Review: Born Pretty Store High Grade Flat Concealer and Foundation Brush!

Flat and for foundation! I've always been comfortable and still very much use my fingers for applying foundation. I don't need much coverage so having a perfectly even coat of base doesn't bother me sometimes but having a perfectly blended base is what concerns me! I have had two of my favorite fluffy stippling brushes die the last few months and I've since bought new face brushes.

One of my new foundation brushes is this petite flat top concealer and foundation brush! I have used it a few times now and I think I've got enough experience to speak about how I feel about its performance!

Yellow and teal green eyes with bronzed cheeks!

Yellow and teal! Yes, yes, I've got absolutely no fancy names for any of my make up looks because I've just never been keen on thinking or putting much thought into names. It's not something that excites me although if I spend enough time I probably would be able to come up with something snazzy when when it comes to make up, a fancy name doesn't make a blah look any better!

Empties for June and July 2014!

Mega empties for the last two months! I've been juggling so many things the last two months that I had to forfeit my empties post for June! Here is a compilation of the last two months of empties that I have produced! I've been going through tones of haircare, skincare and bits and bobs! I'm trying very hard to use everything I have without buying anything new as I'll be leaving to school overseas in December and won't be taking many products with me!

Review: Rival de Loop Liquid Make-up in 03 cashmere!

Cashmere Liquid Make-up! Many liquid foundations advertise and claim to go on the skin smoothly and most of them do but it's most important that it feels, looks and last well. I love using BB creams but they are 99% all have a dewy finish and I end up setting them with foundation powders so that they feel matte and last well all throughout a humid and hot day.

This foundation was gifted to me in a swap from Pam from Jade in the Palace blog! She and I both have oilier skins and similar skin tone! However my skin is no longer as oily as it was a few years ago and now I can say my skin is normal to slightly oily. I was so excited to see this German drugstore brand and was not disappointed at all!

First look with the Lorac Unzipped palette! (Pink bronze eyes)

Unzipped with Lorac! I am just another girl who is crazy over neutral palettes but not the matte only brown toned type of neutrals but the palettes with a range with pinks, bronze, golds and more! Surprisingly I don't own any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes but I would love to own the 3rd rose toned one in the near future!

This beautiful Unzipped palette caught my eye as all the shades are light or medium toned with lots of shimmer. This palette was out of stock in a local online store for months so when I saw this back in stock I bought it and it went straight out of stock a few days later!

June & July 2014: Lunch and dinners eaten out!

Food, food, food! Yes, I'm a huge foodie! Not the kind that always goes to new places and goes to fancy roof top bars and eats the 8 course tasting menu but the kind that revisits their favorite places and constantly seeks variations. I grew up in an international schooling environment and because I'm from singapore and we have all kinds of cuisine here, I eat virtually everything.

Most singaporeans eat Malay, Chinese, Nyona Western and Indian food while growing up as that's the make up of the ethnicities here too! I also have always been eating plenty of Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Thai!

Handbag haul: Charles & Keith summer collection!

Handbag haul time! Yes, it has been a long long time since I did major damage in the hand bag department. I rarely buy new bags, for one, they can be quite pricey in Singapore even if it's a no name accessory brand bag. One brand that I always gravitate towards for their beautiful designs and super well made qualities and fun and modern designs is local home grown brand Charles & Keith.

It's a singaporean brand that was started by Singaporeans and is actually very popular in south east asia, they even have stores all over the world which is impressive as Singapore has very few internationally known brands! Another singapore brand is Rachel K for her CC cream which has exploded in the international beauty world!

Review: P2 Sheer Glam Lipstick in 071, 011, 090! (Mona Lisa Smile, French Kiss, Sex and the City)

Sheer Glam Lipstick! I realize that many ladies who don't wear bright shades are not used to the color or don't enjoy the texture of lipstick. I'm sort of one of those ladies who loves brights on the lips but only decides to go full on lipstick on days where my lips are 'feeling' good or when I'm in the mood for being okay with maintenance as I've got dry lips that peel especially when there's product on them!

These three beautiful lippie were part of a swap I did with the lovely Pam from Jade in the Palace blog! She helped me get these lippies to try as I had seen her review P2 lipsticks on her blog before and they looked great! Check out the swap here!

Skincare review: The Face Shop Smart Peeling Jelly Apple Peeling wash!

Jelly Apple wash! I'm someone who is easily fascinated by products that use plant or fruit extracts or ingredients, I guess we just all like to think that if it has something natural in it, it should be good for us! I have been trying out a couple different jelly 'peeling' face washes which are meant to help exfoliation of the top layer of dead skin cells without being rough on the skin. This was the first of a few I've tried so far.

Berry explosion look using Urban Decay Deluxe palette! (Fishnet, ransom, peace, scratch)

Berry explosion! For some reason I can actually imagine a mix of berry jams of purples, blues and reds exploding on someone's face when I thought of the name for this look! However my look is nowhere that abstract or artistic! I was in the mood for something light, bright and pretty. I wanted to someone use a few of the purples in my Urban Decay deluxe palette and this is what I came up with!

Rave Review: Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black 01!

Perfect liquid eyeliner? I've tried now at least 5 Asian brands of liquid eyeliner and all of them have been great in different ways but my favorite type has to be the ones with a soft nylon fiber tip. Those eyeliners are the ones that are the easiest to draw a smooth line without any drag, pull or effort at all. I'm not a fan of felt tips or pencil eyeliners for the upper lash line.

I have repurchased my favorite Kiss me heroine eyeliner already 4 times and after trying a K-palette eyeliner and being disappointed by how it performed after a few months I was ready to try a new brand of eyeliner! Isn't it funny how so many brands of asian eyeliners have the word "perfect" in their names?

Pink and brown brightening eyes with purple lips! (1028 Brownie Eyes palette)

Brownie eyes and purple lips! Yes, yes....I know I suck with coming up with names for looks, I am not creative in that sense at all! This was something I made when getting ready for a casual date evening with my boyfriend! I wanted to dig into my new 1028 Brownie neutral palette and then I wanted a hot pop of color on my lips!

Purple lips has something I've been interested in, as long as it's berry or pink based I'm quite happy with this sort of wearable purplish lip color! NYX Butter Gloss came to my calling!

10 Things: I Wish I Knew About Make Up as a Teen!

Hello ladies! I've never been one who does tags or do about of post just talking about specific topics other than beauty or food related things. I'm very straightforward in my blog, beauty reviews, looks, food and days out, I don't spend much time doing much else. When I came across this post from another blogger I knew I would love to do it too!

This lovely idea for a post came from Carmen of Clothes and Camera blog! Check out her post here!

Home made Lasagna and lemon butter cake with glaze!

Dinner and Dessert! How many of you ladies cook home made meals at home? Well, I hope I'm not the only one! Besides having been trained to cook in school and having worked in a few kitchens I've always cooked at home or helped out with cooking. In the last year I've made so many yummy dishes at home by myself or with my boyfriend who also loves food and making it.

I decided I wanted a traditional lasagna with bechamel and lots of cheese and a tasty meat ragout inside! That I left to my boyfriend to take care of, while I made a lemon butter cake I saw on a blog!
