Review: Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in 04 Rose Tweed!

Rouge Edition pour les lèvres!  For those who aren't familiar with any french, that means 'Rouge Edition for the lips'. In french however 'rouge' means red but also can be mean lipstick in french too. Bourjois is a very long established brand with many great products. They don't have the largest range of products and neither do they have the most variety but many of their products are top notch or totally worth trying!

Bourjois has had many lip products, most which are raved about but this was my first lipstick from them! I was swatching various neutral looking shades from their lipstick ranges and settled on this as I thought the creamy pink tone would make for a great easy to wear lip color!

Packaging & Product!

The Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick like their other lipsticks are packaged very classically in a square based tube. The color inside each of the transparent base of the lipsticks reflect the actual color of the lipsticks inside very accurately. The black caps have the name of the product printed on one side with 'bourjois' embossed on another. These tubes are of average length and size and it's great that the entire length of the actual lipstick twists up above the base so you can finish the lipstick entirely.

As I've never purchased any bourjois lipstick before this was a first. Having personally sensitive lips that get dry and peel very easily I always look for moist formulas, creamy ones and ones that do not dry up the lips. This formula is a cream that remains moist and super comfortable on the lips! It doesn't bleed outside of the lips despite being creamy and light textured. Also the pigmentation is really solid to my needs as often I find it very difficult to find neutral tones that are opaque over my natural lip color.

Rose tweed, the shade I purchased is a gorgeous woody muted cream rose shade is absolute perfection! It's a gorgeous everyday shade, soft, feminine and it would pair great with both a natural eye and dark eye look! I'm always on the look out for brown and pink tone nudes as they are the shades of lipstick I use the most! This lipstick is of average wear time as it is a creamy formula. When it does wear off, it fades gently and isn't obvious or ugly looking!

Paid: $25 SGD or $18 USD U.P. (I bought these while there was a 30% off sale!)

Recommend: Yes! This lipstick is an overall winner in my books! If you are keen on a moist light textured lipstick with a range of gorgeous natural pink and nude colors with a small choice of red/oranges, do check out this range!

Repurchase: Maybe, as I take a very very long time to finish up lipsticks I rarely repurchase from the same lines unless I really find another shade I love or the formula was so amazing! I will take a look at the lipsticks from their lines!

Bottom line: I'm absolutely delighted with this lipstick from Bourjois! Not only does it look great but feels great and suits my sensitive always dry and peeling lips! If you're in search of pinky or brown tones nudes do check out the Rouge Edition lipstick line!
