Advanced Happy Chinese Lunar New Year! This year chinese new year falls on Feb 10, which is
this coming sunday! Today most Chinese have what is called
'family reunion dinner' which is on the eve of chinese new year!
Last weekend my mother gave me a scolding about not keeping anything new to wear this new year and so she let me go out and get some new pieces! I got myself some
lovely new flare dresses in 3 colors!
This smokey navy lined look was done before I headed out shopping and to see my boyfriend!
He really loved the look and so do I, I'm a huge fan of blues!
Continue below for the haul and look!

Smokey brown and navy lined eye look and fit and flare dresses haul for Pre-Chinese New Year! |

Soft smokey brown and navy and teal lined winged eye look! |

Soft smokey brown and navy and teal lined winged eye look! |
I lined my
upper lid with navy eyeshadow from my new 'Solone' palette (shown below) and my
lower lash lined was lined with a teal gel pencil from Clio (
my review here!)
|
Products used: Sleek oil free creme to powder foundation (review to come!), Solone eyeshadow palette (review to come!), Kiss me Heroine mascara reformulated (review to come!), Peripera Very Nice Brush Eyeliner (my review here!), Clio gelpresso eyeliner (my review here!), red earth mineral cream eye primer, Bourjois pot blush in Santal, Color Combos powder (my review here!), Korres Guava lipstick (review to come!) |
|
Soft wash of brown eyeshadow on the lid past the crease and a light touch of highlight below the brow and on the inner corner. |
|
Used a flat edged brush to apply navy shadow to line my upper lash line, then a quick wing tip and coat of mascara! |
|
On my lips...my newest Korres lip product! Guava lipstick in the shade rose! |
|
My boyfriends favorite photo of me with this look! |
|
I usually take photos wearing a black top for color accuracy but this is what I wore out! |
Clothing haul from Kitschen!
|
Fit and flare dressed from Kitschen in size L, they all were $29.90 SGD |
|
Red faux leather skirt and chiffon top from Kitschen, skirt in M, top in XL, both $29.90 SGD |
It's rare for my mother to encourage spending on clothing but she does believe in having new things for the new year and hence I was so happy when I found these awesome casual dresses that can be done up! Prices at this Malaysian owned brand (if I'm not wrong) are all very reasonable for singapore prices. They were also having sales on many of their past seasons pieces but I fell for this dress!
There were more colors, a nude, a gray and a few more but these three struck me! I want colors now!
The look was improvised, I never really plan my make up looks in detail. I do like lining my eyes completely but rarely do because the lower lash line can get really messy, hence now I use only waterproof or gel eyeliners.
To my Chinese followers and friends, Happy Lunar New Year! Do enjoy the crazy courses for dinners and be civil with our extended families that we never see!
Hope you've enjoyed the haul and look!
Thank you for visiting!
happy early chinese new year :D

ReplyDeleteThey have been some of the most moisturizing and balanced in terms of feel on my drier lips! Do try them out, they come in such a slick little bullet. The hair is natural, no styling, my hair is naturally wavy like that! And yes, it's nice especially when I'm encouraged by mom! (this is rare!)
