Review: Natriv BB Gluta Snail Powder in C2!

BB Gluta Snail Powder! For those who have never been to Thailand, Bangkok is my favorite stop for food and beauty products amongst many other great, affordable and accessible things to do and get there! The average full sized pressed powder from the convenience stores, drugstores and beauty stores that hold 7-12g of product cost usually around 100-250 Thai Baht which is a crazy cheap price of about $4-10 Singapore dollars. The last few years when I've visited Bangkok I stock up on at least 5 powders all from their local brands!

The thing about their local powders are that they are affordable, super pretty, come in usually 2 shades at most and are great for setting make up with. The 9g refill to my favorite powder in Singapore by the brand ZA cost $18 Singapore dollars normally. Do the math. I wish I lived in Bangkok half the time! For the food, beauty and awesome markets and shopping!

Packaging & Product!

Simple, practical and somewhat sort of cute! For those who are familiar with pressed powders in Thailand, the local brands tend to package their powders in a standard no-refill compact with a mirror, a puff and the design tends to be girly! The baby pink, quilted design on the cover are details I really find cute.

This particular compact is has a separator for a square puff and I absolutely love how the puff compartment the compact isn't that much more bulky. The only downsides to the packaging is that only a slimmer sponge can fit in the puff compartment and that the gold colored wording on the cover fades off very quickly but neither things really effect the product.

Pressed powders in Thailand tend to come in 2 shades, 3 at most or 4 in rare occasions when speaking about local brands. Normally you can open up the powder if there's no tester to check the color but 90% of the time there is a tester to check in stores/supermarkets. I bought this powder in the second shade C2 which was also the darkest shade mind you. This shade matches NC20 the best or could be used on the cheeks for someone with a NC25 skin tone.

This powder is a really solid powder. It has a nice soft texture, pleasant light scent, gives light-medium coverage and keeps my foundation set or face matte for several hours before any need to touch up. I tend to use this type of powder purely for setting my foundation but below in my photos I've used it by itself to show the color and coverage.

The coverage of this powder like most pressed powders from local Thai brands is light-medium. You definitely will want a concealer or some other liquid base product if you want to cover up blemishes, textured skin or just more coverage for a longer time. On its own it's great for days where you need to be matte and light coverage and have to be on the run or out for short while.

Paid: 139 Thai Baht or about $5.5 SGD/ $4 USD

(This is INSANELY good. Considering that regular non-refillable pressed powders in Singapore are $10-15 SGD at the cheapest)

Recommend:Yes, if you're totally in need of a good light powder for setting your liquid base with or want something light to press on before heading out do check out this powder if you are NC25 or lighter!

Repurchase: No, but only because I've bought so many different powders to try! I only repurchase backups if I know the powder is amazing.

Bottom line: A seriously great value for money and quality pressed powder! This powder really set and made my foundation last for hours without fading off in obvious patches. It was a great touching up powder due to its light texture too. I've already started using the other powder I got from Natriv!

  1. The coverage is pretty decent! Does the snail bit provide some extra skin benefit?

    1. I'm quite sure it's suppose to have some skin benefits but it's like buying a product from the drugstore that says it has 'pearl complex', I doubt it's very much or will make much of a difference! Still it's a great product!

  2. Hey Joan, sorry but I don't think there's any way to buy most of these local thai powders if you're not in the country. You could check ebay but I'm not sure of where else you could buy them.

  7. Your skin is already so absolutely amazing even without makeup! I really liked how the foundation looked on you because it wasn't too matte or powdery looking.

    1. It's very easy to find! Most bigger supermarkets have a separate make up section or at Beautrium shops or at even the 7-11s, you can find this brand or similar!
