Review: L'oreal Lipstick in Fuzzy Taupe!

Fuzzy taupe lips! For those who know me in person, I rarely am seen wearing lipstick on a daily basis due to my dry lips and how they tend to dry out easily despite being the person who drinks the most water. When I do slap on lipstick on my free days or for special occasions I either go for nude or hot pink. Personally I always prefer a brown toned nude as pink toned ones simply look super red or rosy on top of my natural lip color. Hence when I found this baby at Watsons some months ago and swatched it, I just had to pick it up!

Rave Review: L'oreal Super Liner Gelmatic in Turbo Turqoise!

Turbo Turqoise Teal! When it comes to eyeliner, two colors will always draw me in. Like most girls I love and appreciate a good solid rich black and then there's teal which I always grab to line over my regular eyeliner or for the waterline for a pop of color! When it comes to eyeliners which are in the pencil form I always stick to gel pencils as I've had no luck with other formulations no matter how "smudge proof" or "waterproof" they claim to be. Gel pencils have always been a winner for my super watery eyes so when I saw this gorgeous blue toned liner from L'oreal I had to get it!

Rave review: L'oreal Le Teint True Match in shade R2 Apricot Ivory!

Le Teint True Match! For many many women for many years L'oreal True Match has been a famous drugstore product and a staple for women around the world! Having a huge range of shades (in major parts of the world), suitable for most skin types and with great coverage that leaves the skin looking real and yet flawless I'm won't be surprised if this product forever has a section in store!

Years ago I had helped my mother pick out her shade of L'oreal True Match and on hindsight we some how got her the wrong shade...TWICE. I then purchased one for myself 4 years ago and it was one of my first foundations. In the end although it wasn't the right match at the time it was amazing and I can never forget or speak less about this product!

Review: L'oreal Lucent Magique Blush of Light Glow Palette in Duchess Rose!

Glowing cheeks with Lucent Magique! Several months ago I bought the L'oreal Lucent Magique foundation which is Asia's equivalent of the True Match Lumi and it was fantastic! See my review of the foundation here! It's super long wearing, has great coverage and makes your skin seems like it's glowing.

I had seen the blushes in this line a few times and finally decided to pick up the blush in Duchess Rose! It's a trio of colors of a dusty rose color, exactly my favorite type of blush color for any occasion!

Skincare review: L'oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil!

15 Second Miracle? Are you just like and get tempted and allured by the lovely claims of all the new products coming out on the market?! I've been using the same bi-facil eye make up remover for the last two years from L'oreal and I know where to get it locally really cheap and it just melts off my holy grail mascara!

However I ran out a month ago and didn't get to buy it. I've been using my other make up remover gels and oils and the only other product that worked as amazingly was from Shu Uemura. Then I was in store two weeks ago and had to chance to get this cleansing oil at a $10 discount and jumped at it!

Review: L'oreal Lucent Magique foundation in shade N2!

Foundation light 'Magique'? That's the claim of L'oreal's light infusing foundation, that I will like 'glowing' skin with light coming from within...all with the help of their product of course!

I must leak before you see my review that this has been one of the best foundations I've tried this year! Very happy and I do not think I'll be needing to buy many more foundations for the rest of this year!

Review: l'oreal ultra-volume collagene mascara! (before & after photos)

Plush and lush! Who doesn't want long, thick, dark lashes?! I've yet to come across any girl who wants mediocre lashes...anything that does less than the best I've experience isn't good enough anymore!

My friend was moving away a few months ago and gave this mascara to me. I know it's not hygenic to share mascaras but she at most used it twice ever.

At a first glance, it seems pretty amazing but not really....up to my standards! I'll let you know why!

Overview: BB Cream comparison w/l'oreal foundation!

BB comparison! Here's three BB cream products I've reviewed and will be comparing to l'oreal true match foundation!

The true match foundation in R2 (cool shade 2) is a shade or two, too light for me at the moment but use it as reference to the bb creams!

Rave review: l'oreal inffallible single eyeshadows! (purple, brown, pink)

These lovely single eyeshadows from l'oreal came in as 'limited edition' last year and sold out! When I saw these were back, only in 8 colors and not the same as before I had to grab 3 while the offer was going on!

They are incredible to work with, pigmented and just drool worthy, I've only picked up one other color since and really wish l'oreal would bring in more!

Overview: Some of my Foundations (Maybelline & l'oreal)

Here's just four foundations which at some point in the last year I used regularly! I still use them but not as heavily and all over my face. My base routine now is just spot concealing with concealer or foundation and powder!

Quick look: L'oreal color appeal eyeshadow quad in Summer Caresses (swatches!)

Just a quick look at something my mom bought maybe 2 years ago now! Totally discontinued, no where to be found in Singapore anymore as most things in permanent lines in the US/Canada or Aus. This quad was from the Color Appeal line and has some easy to use shades!

 Continue below for lovely swatches!

Overview: L'oreal True Match Liquid Foundation! (3 shades, swatches!)

I've been a fan of pressed powders for the last two years but ever since my skin developed dry patches I've wandered into liquids!

Who says people with oily/combi skin can't use liquid! I've only tried a few and although L'oreal has been on the market for a long time....I've only just in the recent weeks tried it out! I love their True Match foundation! (also picked up extras during a sale at Watsons! Bargain!)

This is a quick review/overview of "L'oreal true match liquid foundation!"

Overview: Scrubs and cleansers! (photos!)

I meant to post this a loooong time ago, so apologies to myself (mostly) for not doing so. My facial regime has changed quite a bit since I took these photos but I use them.

My skin is sensitive and is combination (oily and dry) Hence after doing a lot of research and looking around, I've come to realize the importance of moisturizing and using products with no alcohol for more sensitive areas of my face (eg above lips, cheeks, around eyes) Alcohol strips skin of too much oil sometimes and even causes pimples/acne to get worse, which I've experienced.

Here's a round up of things I've used/use!

NOTE: It's actually 'theblackmentosbeautybox.blogspot'!

All in a tub! Yep...I came up with the sign in  a moment's notice, and that's a 'blackmentos' you see there!

Introducing my holy grail tool! A silicone scrubber that comes with the L'oreal face wash...you can easily buy this at Sasa outlets and watsons in Singapore!

Review: L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum (photos, tips!)

I'm not so sure when but there has been a flood of lash growth serums in recent years...From the famous Latisse and Lilash, the names and companies are endless! All claiming that their products, if applied consistently will give you longer, fuller lashes! Something most ladies fancy? I do at least!

Then again, I'd read of the 'side effects' some of these products have been reported to have such as...discoloration on the lid, lashes rapidly 'returning' to the original state after stopping treatment, hair growing in unwanted areas on the face...all the not so appealing things I'd say.

Last year in March I spotted an article in 'Simply Her' magazine here in Singapore, it was a 'Tried & Tested' article on 5 different lash growth serums...

The two most affordable and rated as second and third best out of the five were DHC's Eyelash Tonic and L'oreal's Renewal Lash Serum...I went out and bought both!

They can be purchased at most Watsons...I purchased L'oreal at $28.90 but the price of DHC's is now $27.90...what happened to $18.90 from a year ago?

Continue below to see the article, review, application and photos!

Make up Review: L'oreal Double Extension Mascara w/renewal serum/ Photos & Swatches!

Yay! Finally a mascara review!

Although there are many great blog photos of mascara and lashes...I get seriously cheesed when I see blurry photos that make it hard to even tell anything!

"If it is clear... post it! If not, take another photo!"
Pretty gold and blue tubes...the shape is however...a bit uncomfortable!!=d
