Review: Kate Brown Shade Eyes in BR-3!

Brown shade eyes! Because there is literally no such thing as too many neutrals or variations of 'nude' shadows! This series of small eyeshadow palettes was available from the japanese drugstore brand kate the last two years but this particular design of shadow is no longer selling now in Singapore as I've noticed kate tends to over haul their small palette shadows every two years. I skipped the cool and warm toned palettes and gravitated straight to this gorgeous rose nude trio! All the palettes came with a 'fake shade' powder which is basically a small nose shading powder!

Review: Kate Mineral Powder Foundation in OC-C!

Powder me up with Mineral Powder! It's definitely no surprise to long time readers that I'm a powder freak! I must have pressed powder with me at all times. My favorite type of foundation is pressed and powder as I love being matte. Setting my liquid foundation with pressed powder is also a step I never skip unless the foundation truly has a dry touch finish, I find that most liquid foundation will eventually melt off, sweat off or fade due to my oils at the end of the day and powder keeps everything in place and looking great.

Currently there is only one pressed powder that I've repurchased year after year from ZA, their Perfect Fit two way foundation powder as it's been my favorite. However recently I've purchased  powder from many different brands, giving them all a go since it's the one product I really manage to go through and finish regularly!

Rave Review: Kate Powderless Liquid for Cover foundation in OC-C!

Go powderless with Kate! For many asian girls here in Singapore and south east asia, the hot humid and crazy warm weather really sucks. Your skin stays oily for longer, tends to get blemishes more often and your make up does not stay on with heavy matte formulas or a shit ton of powder like myself! I had helped Pam from Jade in the Palace acquire this in a beauty swap we did last year and after getting it for her I was so curious I had to buy it myself to try it!

My normal face make up routine consists of one base product (foundation/bb cream/concelaer) and a good amount of foundation powder packed on top to keep my face flawless all day or evening! Hence knowing that this product dries down to a matte finish although being a liquid was very appealing!

Review: Kate Lash Extension Mascara in Long & Curl BK-1!

Lash Extension Mascara! Which one of use doesn't want longer, curlier and thicker lashes? We all want beautiful better than what we have lashes but it's not always easy to find "the mascara" for you! I'm lucky enough to have a holy grail that I've been using for the last 4 years. It's the Kiss Me Heroine make up Long & Curl (my review here), it's super super swimming and crying waterproof and is amazing at boosting everything I need.

Once in a while my eyes wander to the mascara sections when I'm out and I thought I should just try this one by Kate as it's a fiber mascara and my holy grail is also a fiber mascara and also by a Japanese brand. I realized this was not waterproof but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway!

Kate! This brand is under Kanebo cosmetics, a Japanese company. They have an amazing range of 'gradical eyes' eyeshadow quads in different colors: pink, purple, cool brown, warm brown, blue...I want to collect them all!

Used alone or together these eyeshadows are all so smooth, pigmented and have a beautiful satin/frost finish!

A meal at Broitzeit, make up bits & River Island news...!

Hiya all! I'm finally feeling better after several days down and sick with a runny nose, heavy head and my recurring sinus problems! Here are some shots of a meal I had with my mom a short while back.

I did a quick smokey purple look out that night. I also bought two shirts from the Sesame street store at work, one for me and the other for my dearest (I'm very glad he wears it proudly).

Continue below for my FOTD, food shots, make up bits and my last purchase from River Island before it closed down!

Rave Review: Kate Gel Eyeliner in 3 shades! (easy EOTD w/liner)

Finally! This has been put off for far too long! I've been using these for about 3 months now and loving every bit of these glorious pots of gel liner!

After trying a bunch of waterproof eyeliners and nothing really being 'waterproof' I picked up the Kate gel eyeliner in BK-1 (black) on a whim...only to discover it was one of the best make up moves I've made!

Local beauty blogger at Bun Bun Make up tips also raves and love the affordability and quality of these as much as I do! Check out her review and comparison with MAC's gel eyeliner!

Continue below for the review and a FOTD with the eyeliners!

Food: Ribs @ Mignon's Steak &Grill in Taka (yummy photos!)

I've got lots of things I've yet to post but just for some mouth watering variety here are some of my favorite ribs at a small cafe in the food hall at Takashimaya!

The place is called "Mignon's Steak & Grill" ...a plate of ribs are just under $S20...the fries and salad that accompany are delicious!

Hallelujah! Beautiful baby back ribs with a touch of greens and lovely hot fries!
Lovely garden sald...juicy vegetables go well with juicy meat...Hehe

Three Mushroom soup! Very fresh, the smell was strong, fresh mushroom  bits were present!

Just a couple thin belts i picked up from F21...$S4 each

Majolica Majorca Jeweling pencil in BK 999 (black) this was for a friend!

Kate Gel Eyeliner in waterproof Black...(also for a friend) it's great on the lower lash line but still won't stay on the waterline!

FOTD: Kate Gradient Eyeshadows- Neutrals (Swatches, photos!)

This was a look from two weeks ago...unfortunately I've been having trouble keeping up as I'd wanted with this blog! My new camera was taking lovely photos but had far too many problems in terms of taking out photos and charging so I ended up getting a cannon ixsus to replace it! I'll rant about digital cameras another day, now to get on with the old 'Fotd'.

Here's basically what I used for the look, it's missing the mascara and lip gloss I added on in the end!

 Things I used:
  • Vichy Aera Mineral BB Cream
  • Bobbi Brown eyeshadow brush
  • Skin Food small eyeshadow brush
  • Kate gradient eyeshadow palette (neutrals)
  • NYX Loose Powder in Light Beige
  • Maybelline Magnum mascara in Blackest Black waterproof
  • NYX Mega shine lipgloss in Juicy Red
Bought this when I was in Cambodia at a counter for about 6 US dollars...it's available here (singapore) and costs $27.90 SDG.
Swatches corresponding to the eyeshadows in the palette...

They all have a lovely metallic/shimmer finish...the darkest brown-black has plenty of glitter...
