Glossing, Waterful and Moist! Almost two years after my purchase this review is finally being written! Oh my, it's been waaaaay overdue! So basically about two years ago when I first managed to get my hands on a few 3CE or 3 Concept Eyes products...items from this brand were only avalible online on local webstores or from the brand's own site as well as being sold online by some very smart people and by small beauty shops carrying various bits and bobs. This particular foundation caught my eye as it boasted being very natural looking, moisturizing, giving that very famed 'dewy' korean look and I knew that even though I probably would powder it down I wanted to try it!
I ordered mine from a seller on Qoo10.com who carried various products from the brand. Now this can be much more easily purchased through Sephora.sg, in store at various beauty shops around Singapore and also online at competitive prices.

3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige! |
The box of the foundation...all in korean of course! No need to be concerned about ingredients when you can't read any of them! |
3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige! |
I do quite like that most foundations from Korean brands and many asian brands have a seal which will tear once the foundation cap is opened. |
3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige! This foundation has a large dropper. It's not very practical but does have good dispensing control. |

Swatches: L'oreal True Match in R2, Bourjois Healthy Mix in 52, 3CE Glossing Waterful and Lioele Triple the Solution BB cream |
All three other bases have much much higher coverage than this 3CE foundation. If you are keen on a moisturizing foundation with medium coverage that will lasts given you don't have oily skin or won't be sweating a lot give L'oreal and Bourjois a go!

Packaging & Product!
Simple, sleek and functional, all of 3CE's products are in plain black packaging much like the trend of many up and coming trendy brands from Korea. This foundation unfortunately does not come in an easy to bring around container being glass with a glass dropper. It however does look very pretty and the dropper is very nice to use. My only real issue is the weight of the whole product being very heavy, so it wouldn't ever be something I'd bring while traveling.
Straight to the foundation...it claims to be very moisturizing with a formula to leave the face looking flawless and never cakey! One thing for sure is that the formula is extremely moist and leaves you with a very dewy and glossy finish. When I tested this foundation, I had some healing blemishes on my forehead so you can see the coverage. I have very light pigmentation on the tops of my cheeks and have several dark moles all which are visible through a good layer of this.
This foundation is very low in coverage but it does match my skintone very well and feels very comfortable. I however could never wear this out on it's own as I sweat a lot and singapore's weather is so humid and hot. In the last year I found that applying this with a wet sponge in layers works best together with a coat of powder for more coverage and lasting power.
Before and after wearing 3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige! |
Wearing only 3CE (3 Concept Eyes) Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige! |
As seen, this foundation although being a perfect match and having a great yellow toned light beige color, all pigmentation, moles and blemishes are visible through just this product. I highly recommend a layer of powder to set this base for those who need it to last but you want to enjoy the moisturizing factor of this product.

Paid: $40 SGD or about $29USD
Recommend: Depends, if you have normal to dry skin and don't have much to cover and enjoy the super dewy almost wet look this foundation would work. However if you need something moisturizing this would work too under a layer of powder.
Repurchase: No, definitely not for me in the long run. I've found a way to make it work for me but I want a bit more coverage and less of a 'wet' looking finish.
Bottom line: A very interesting product, it's too bad there are only 4 shades that don't match anyone darker than NC25. This totally will give you that K-pop dewy skin look but you'd need a concealer if you have anything at all that needs some evening out or covering. Do check out their website for more info and a demo! (check it out here!)
On the other hand I also own their BB cream and it's amazing! It's dewy but not wet looking and most importantly has HIGH coverage! (See my review here)
What 3CE products have you tried or want to try?
Are you a fan of dewy looking skin?
Let me know!
Feel free to comment!
Thank you!
The foundation does give a nice dewy finish and looks very natural too. However, I have combination oily skin so I cannot see myself using this as it wouldn't hold my shine at all. It is also hard to get hold of in the UK too, although I heard so many great stuff about 3CE's concealers :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day ♥

I had this and I love the dewy look it gives! But I don't think it works too well for oily skin unless if packed on half the compact of powder hahah ~ Great post Sharlynn ♥
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try this foundation for awhile, but have yet to cave in. Your review actually confirmed that I don't need it ( thank God, money's saved xD ). I need more coverage and this one seems very sheer. The finish is beautiful but I think it will get oily easily on my combination skin. I agree with you that it will work great for people with dry to normal skin ^^.
ReplyDeleteI really regretted not purchasing this anything from this brand when I was in Malaysia earlier this year. It was sold in Sephora but I skipped it because I didn't read any reviews on it before. Love the finish on your skin, I'll need to check how I can purchase it here in Canada.

I love the way this looks on your skin and the luminous look it gives! I've been obsessed with Korean skincare lately so I'd love to give something like this foundation a try! Awesome review, as always!

ReplyDeleteI don't think you need that much of a coverage since your
skin is smooth already! Xx ice pandora
