Review: l'oreal ultra-volume collagene mascara! (before & after photos)

Plush and lush! Who doesn't want long, thick, dark lashes?! I've yet to come across any girl who wants mediocre lashes...anything that does less than the best I've experience isn't good enough anymore!

My friend was moving away a few months ago and gave this mascara to me. I know it's not hygenic to share mascaras but she at most used it twice ever.

At a first glance, it seems pretty amazing but not really....up to my standards! I'll let you know why!

Rave Review: Peripera 'Very Nice Brush Eyeliner'!

Just a very quick rave review! This is the black liquid liner I've been using for the past several months! It's so quick, easy and stays put the whole day!

I can't rave enough about the ease of learning to use this for either a thin line, a winged tip or using it to draw! This may be the optimal solution for eyeliner for the petite asian eye!

Peripera Very Nice Brush Eyeliner...what a sweet name? Just so happens this is the best liquid liner I've used!
Exactly like the famous Dolly wink eyeliner in looks, the Peripera Very Nice Brush Eyeliner has a super fine tipped felt pen which is soft and flexible!

Review: Covergirl Natureluxe mousse mascara! (before/after photos)

Woo hoo! I don't know why it took me this long to review this! Something I got late last year as part of haul of mostly mascara goodies from the States that aren't found locally in Singapore!

I heard so much about this mascara and loved the brush I saw! I wanted the waterproof formula as I don't trust non-water proof or smudge proof formulas at all! It's the only way to guarantee no smudging and a good curl but unfortunately my brother couldn't find the water resistant but I still had to try it!

Rave Review: Kate Gel Eyeliner in 3 shades! (easy EOTD w/liner)

Finally! This has been put off for far too long! I've been using these for about 3 months now and loving every bit of these glorious pots of gel liner!

After trying a bunch of waterproof eyeliners and nothing really being 'waterproof' I picked up the Kate gel eyeliner in BK-1 (black) on a whim...only to discover it was one of the best make up moves I've made!

Local beauty blogger at Bun Bun Make up tips also raves and love the affordability and quality of these as much as I do! Check out her review and comparison with MAC's gel eyeliner!

Continue below for the review and a FOTD with the eyeliners!

Rave Review: Kiss me Heroine LONG & Curl Mascara! (before/after photos!)

The same brand as my previous Holy Grail mascara the 'volume & curl' version which I (reviewed here) this one has a different brush but the same fiber and super waterproof formulation.

I swear if I had to have one mascara for the rest of my life I'm glad to say that either one of these from Kiss me Heroine would be a blessing. Made by asians to look amazing on skimpy asian lashes, any girl lacking seriously in the volume, length and curl department you must try this at least once.

This is by far tied with best with the volume & curl version, I can't ask for anything better at such a good price!

Important: I'd like to point out that eye shape, lash type and application are three things that effect how a mascara works on a person. It is not usually possible for a monolided person to have the same effect as a double-lided person.

My lash type: short, fine, slightly curly

Rave Review: Maybelline's the Magnum Volum' Express mascara (before & after pics!)

It's been on the market for more than a year now but I'm still in love with this mascara from Maybelline! As a girl with thin whimpy asian lashes I feel the same slight sorrow when eyeliner doesn't show up or when mascara doesn't work for us because of the size of the brush or formulation.

I used to use it regularly before I discovered Kiss Me Heroine mascara although I do go back to this every now and then as it's very quick and easy to use when I'm in a rush.

Maybelline's the Magnum Volum' Express: bold yellow and purple tube which I love!
Many say that this is the same as the western version 'the Colossal' but it's not at all. I've tired the colossal before, I picked it up on holiday in europe and the brush is cylindrical and much softer (to the point where it didn't grab onto the lashes!) The falsies mascara on the other hand is shaped almost exactly as the magnum, just slightly longer or curved (i believe seeing so) and a different colored tube of course!

I've put this review off for so many months now so I'm grateful for this detailed post! And it's the last week of school for me! It's scary knowing that I have so few months left...! But yay!

How it's sold in most of Asia! No waste of cardboard and hard plastic!

Review: L'oreal Renewal Lash Serum (photos, tips!)

I'm not so sure when but there has been a flood of lash growth serums in recent years...From the famous Latisse and Lilash, the names and companies are endless! All claiming that their products, if applied consistently will give you longer, fuller lashes! Something most ladies fancy? I do at least!

Then again, I'd read of the 'side effects' some of these products have been reported to have such as...discoloration on the lid, lashes rapidly 'returning' to the original state after stopping treatment, hair growing in unwanted areas on the face...all the not so appealing things I'd say.

Last year in March I spotted an article in 'Simply Her' magazine here in Singapore, it was a 'Tried & Tested' article on 5 different lash growth serums...

The two most affordable and rated as second and third best out of the five were DHC's Eyelash Tonic and L'oreal's Renewal Lash Serum...I went out and bought both!

They can be purchased at most Watsons...I purchased L'oreal at $28.90 but the price of DHC's is now $27.90...what happened to $18.90 from a year ago?

Review: Sheene Mascara/ Application Tips! (Photos!)

From my last haul post at Sinma outside Lucky Plaza I'd picked up a mascara by a Thai brand called "Sheene", it carries the usual array of items but I really wanted to check out the "Extra Curl" mascara because of the brush I saw on the tester. It's the bendy/plastic type which I love for separation and I hoped it would give me length/curl/separation for the $7.90 SGD I spent on it! Inexpensive compared to what's found at the pharmacy but it looked promising!

Today's review is..."Sheene Hi-Speed waterproof Mascara!"

Important: I'd like to point out that eye shape, lash type and application are three things that effect how a mascara works on a person. It is not usually possible for a monolided person to have the same effect as a double-lided person.

I have monolid eyes most of the time, they have a tendency to become double lided if I use waterproof mascaras which changes how the mascara looks. When my eyelids are single, less lashes are visible as half are hidden beneath the lid. Otherwise when my lid is double more is visible and it looks like I have longer lashes.

My lash type: Short, fine, slightly curled

This mascara is: Black and waterproof...

In a card board back packaging...not typically found at pharmacies....this was from Lucky Plaza's SINMA

At $7.90 I can't complain about the price but I don't get why it's called "Hi-Speed" mascara...
I only saw 3 of the 4 mascaras in the section..

Rave Review: Kiss Me Heroine VOLUME & Curl Mascara (before/after!)

Firstly I've got to say that I've heard rave reviews of this mascara brand and after seeing Kathi's lashes (i believe that's her name) from 'Lotuspalace', she reviewed the volume & curl version, I was almost willed to go out and buy this mascara from Watsons, since it's so easily available here! I paid $21.90 SGD...

Today's review..."Kiss Me Heroine~ Volume and Curl Mascara!"

Shout out! A big thank you to Toni from "SushiFlower" here on blogspot, her Maybelline Define-a-lash review motivated me to get on with my own reviews!

Drum roll please~!

Kiss me Heroine, volume & curl in waterproof black! Niffty packaging!

It still baffles me that anime/manga and the girl here look nothing ethnically japanese! Oh well, it's part of their culture!

Here are the english instructions which actually is another piece of card over the original in japanese. And yes, the rounded tip does help to coat the inner and outer corners! I didn't have to read that before doing it!
Heroine's Make up Law? Never heard of it before but yes! I totally agree!

Make up Review: L'oreal Double Extension Mascara w/renewal serum/ Photos & Swatches!

Yay! Finally a mascara review!

Although there are many great blog photos of mascara and lashes...I get seriously cheesed when I see blurry photos that make it hard to even tell anything!

"If it is clear... post it! If not, take another photo!"
Pretty gold and blue tubes...the shape is however...a bit uncomfortable!!=d
