Review: Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara Advanced Film in 01 Black!

Advanced Film Mascara! For those who may not know my holy grail mascara that I have repurchased at least 1-2 times a year for about 4-5 years now has been from Kiss Me Heroine. I've loved both their Long & Curl and Volume & Curl formulas, both which are super black, super waterproof and both add lots of volume and length! I repurchase both types and in the last year I've tried 3 other versions from them, the Impact Frame and Curl, Long & Curl Super Film and now this Advanced Film version.

I'll be honest, the first two the Impact Frame and Super Film versions were utterly mediocre. The Impact Frame had a wand that clumped on far too much mascara and at best gave too natural looking lashes as the formula would not build. The Advanced Film had a brush that held too much product and the formula also didn't layer the lashes properly which meant more time applying for very very 'meh' results. Hence I was quite on the fence about purchasing this new version but then again, they product my holy grail mascara so I just HAD to try it!

Review: Kate Brown Shade Eyes in BR-3!

Brown shade eyes! Because there is literally no such thing as too many neutrals or variations of 'nude' shadows! This series of small eyeshadow palettes was available from the japanese drugstore brand kate the last two years but this particular design of shadow is no longer selling now in Singapore as I've noticed kate tends to over haul their small palette shadows every two years. I skipped the cool and warm toned palettes and gravitated straight to this gorgeous rose nude trio! All the palettes came with a 'fake shade' powder which is basically a small nose shading powder!

Rave Review: Addiction Blush in Romantic 15!

Blush Mix on the cheeks! For many outside of Japan, the brand Addiction is not very accessible. It's avalible online only for those residing outside the country and I had the help of my best friend two year ago now to send me some goodies. I HAD to get a blush and I ended up choosing this iredescent mid-tone pink which I'm super glad I picked out.

Rave review: Addiction by Ayako single eyeshadow in Nostalgia 015P!

Bring out the Nostalgia! For those who may have missed out, I did a big year end haul some time ago where I showed a bunch of products my best friend sent me from a Japanese brand called Addiction by Ayako. This brand can be purchased by those not in Japan from ichibankao.com. This brand was created by someone who used to work for NARS so there are similarities when it comes to packaging. I got my friend to get me me range of products to try which included this gorgeous single shadow.

Review: Kate Mineral Powder Foundation in OC-C!

Powder me up with Mineral Powder! It's definitely no surprise to long time readers that I'm a powder freak! I must have pressed powder with me at all times. My favorite type of foundation is pressed and powder as I love being matte. Setting my liquid foundation with pressed powder is also a step I never skip unless the foundation truly has a dry touch finish, I find that most liquid foundation will eventually melt off, sweat off or fade due to my oils at the end of the day and powder keeps everything in place and looking great.

Currently there is only one pressed powder that I've repurchased year after year from ZA, their Perfect Fit two way foundation powder as it's been my favorite. However recently I've purchased  powder from many different brands, giving them all a go since it's the one product I really manage to go through and finish regularly!

Special: Daiso Japanese two dollar store make up look! (mini reviews)

Beauty products at Daiso! Here in Singapore Daiso is a very popular value store from Japan where everything is $2 Singapore dollars! From food, ceramics, gardening equipment, household needs, crafts and even beauty products and accessories they seem to have almost everything! I'm pretty sure that everyone visits daiso for certain things much like my family regularly purchases large packs of wet wipes and small charcoal purifiers!

In terms of beauty goods, they're very well known for their sponge detergent which is a fabulous brush cleaner as well as other cheap products which aren't half bad. So far I've only ever bought make up sponges, false lashes and the liquid cleaner so I decided to go ahead and all the products I'll need for a complete face of make up to try!

Rave Review: Shiseido Shimmery Cream Eye Color in BL711, OR313 & VI305!

Creamy, colorful, shimmery perfection! I've become a huge user and fan of cream shadows from all walks of price point! I've tried the inexpensive ones from maybelline, other asian brands, Kiko and now I've had the chance to own several from Shiseido! These bad boys were on my radar for some time, they were not a must-buy but when I was on holiday last year in Bandung, Indonesia with my boyfriend we were in a big mall and when I realized that these were cheaper I just had to get two...and then I went back and got one more!

If you're a fan of creamy, smooth, fine shimmer and you love waterproof eyeshadow do continue below for the swatches and my review! Check my holiday in Bandung Indonesia (check out here) and the beauty, skincare and food items I hauled from the trip (check out here)!

Review: Canmake Perfect Stylist Eyes in 07 Gateau Framboise!

Gateau Framboise on your eyes! For those who have been reading my reviews for a while, it's no surprise that I've had a love with Canmake's single blushes for years. It's hard to resist the girly, young and princess vibes that the brand gives off in general and even now I'm a fan. I've also tried their trio eyeshadow in the past as well as most recently their "Strong Eyes Liner" which was really good and I'm still currently using.

This eyeshadow palette was kindly provided to me by a local company which has an online shop called 'T-Supply Company" , they carry a modest range of make up products, accessories as well as health supplements! If you reside in Singapore do check them out as there will be a discount code I'll be sharing in this review!

Review: Addiction by Ayako Cheek Stick in 07 Amazing!

Whip out that Cheek Stick! Today I'm bringing the first of several reviews I have on products from the Japanese brand Addiction by Ayako. It's a much lesser known brand which I have had the privilege of trying and owning thanks to my best friend who's living in Japan currently and she sent  items to me that I asked her to help me get! I'm really not a lipstick lover and neither have I tried more than 2 cream blushes so far however I was totally intrigued by the cheek stick product which is for both the lips and cheeks despite looking soley like a lipstick!

My best friend helped my order this item from a local japanese website, if you are keen on any Addiction products check out Ichibankao.com as they carry a great range of drugstore to high end products some of which are difficult to find outside of Japan. All prices include world wide shipping!

Review: Little Lady Rich Black Liquid Eyeliner in 01 Black!

Rich Black Liquid Eyeliner? Liquid eyeliner is a total staple when I do eye make up. For those who have been reading my blog for a while or those who have seen my make up looks, I almost always am sporting liquid eyeliner! I've been testing this particular one for more than three months now and unlike other new ones I've tried in the last year this one has been giving me a lot of trouble!

My favorite liquid pen eyeliner which I consistently repurchase or have a back up of is Kiss Me Heroine's Smooth Liquid Liner Eyeliner! What I look for in a liquid eyeliner is ease of use, solid black color, fast drying and a formula that will lasts through the humidity and heat!

Review: Canmake Strong Eyes Liner in Super Black!

Line your eyes with Canmake! Those who have been reading my blog for any length of time would know that I almost always line my eyes with liquid pen eyeliner for my signature cat winged liner for my eye make up. I've come to love how it looks on me and so it's pretty much something I almost never leave out of my make up routine. I'm always have two eyeliners open, one which is my current holy grail from Kiss me heroine and another from a new brand I'm trying out.

Today's eyeliner was kindly provided to me by a local company which has an online shop called 'T-Supply Company" which carries a modest range of make up products, accessories as well as health supplements! Those in Singapore should check them out as there will be a discount code I'll be sharing with readers at the end of this review!

Review: Aqua Label White Up Emulsion S!

White up Emulsion milk! Aqua label is a brand I've loved and used for a few years now! It's a drugstore brand here in Singapore and is a brand under Shiseido hence the full name of the brand is 'Shiseido Aqualabel'. This brand sells three ranges of products, the bold blue line is for whitening/youth, the red line is for mature skin/anti-aging and the teal blue is for acne/oily skin. Recently there's been an addition of products with a yellow packaging which all are formulated with golden royal jelly.

Here is my review of their Emulsion milk! I've used and loved their cleanser, a spot whitening treatment and a concentrated cream. All of their products are light textured, liquidy and super gentle. All their products are intended to be used together, layered for the most effective results.

Review: Sana Pore Putty BB Mineral Powder SPF 35! (natural skin color)

BB Mineral Powder time! Those who have followed my FOTD posts and my reviews of bases would know that I'm a powder person. I cannot leave the house without a powder. I will not wear any liquid foundations without setting it with a powder here in humid and hot Singapore! I've tried plenty of mascaras and liquid eyeliners from Japanese brands from Watsons and Sasa but realized some months ago that I really should give pressed powders a shot too since I'm a powder nut!

Japanese drugstore brands which have powders tend to have at most 2-3 shades, all usually yellow based so those who are between a MAC NC20-25 best match the colors usually sold.

First look using Addiction by Ayako products!

Addiction by Ayako! My entire look today consist of five products which I got my best friend to send me at the end of last year. Most of you maybe unaware of this brand which I'm featuring today, considered as a high end brand in Japan, it's a very exclusive brand that cannot be bought anywhere outside of Japan currently. This brand as well as many other sought after popular Japanese brands both affordable and high end are sold international online at ichibankao.com where all prices include the shipping already.

After receiving these products from my best friend in an end of year package swap (where I basically picked out everything I wanted and she just got a ton of stuff I picked out for her!!) I knew I had to do a look that included all the products I picked out from Addiction!

Rave Review: Kiss Me Heroine Long & Curl Super Waterproof Mascara!

Super Waterproof! Today I bring everyone a holy grail of mine for now the 4th year in a row. My holy grail mascara in the past was Kiss Me Heroine's mascaras (both curl and volume versions) in waterproof (they only sold waterproof). However as of the last few years the original waterproof version has been discontinued in Singapore and now we only have this 'Super waterproof' version for both lengthening and volumizing versions of their mascara! Luckily they are just as amazing!

I've already reviewed the Volume & Curl Super Waterproof version (see the review here) and it's holy grail alright. However the good news is that this one is just as fabulous so at the end of the day it's just up to the brush shape you prefer!

NOTICE: To all my dear followers and friends of my blog, I have been away on a holiday the last week and hence the lack of me visiting your blogs and replying to questions! All will resume when I am back in Singapore in the next few days! Thanks so much everyone!

Review: Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks in 02!

Glow Fleur Cheeks blush! As many of my followers and regular readers know, I'm sort of a blush fiend...actually a complete lover of blush. I've been called 'blush queen', 'blush fiend' and 'blush lover' and it's all true! For the longest time and still today I've wanted and lusted after Anna Sui's Rose Cheek color which looks like this blush from Canmake although more intricate! I still plan to get one from them although since it's a high end brand in Singapore I've never bought anything from the brand except perfume.

I've purchased many single blushes from Canmake and after seeing a few variations of this blush from them last year I just HAD TO GET IT. It reminded me too much of Anna Sui's although at a fraction of the price!

Rave Review: Brigitte Five Essence BB Powder in shade 02 Pearl Beige!

Five Essence BB Powder! Here is another awesome face product from the Japanese brand Brigitte! A fairly newer drugstore brand in Singapore, the quality of their make up surpasses more common brands like L'oreal and Maybelline but are priced similarly here. I originally purchased a gorgeous set with an eyeshadow palette, lipgloss and false lash from them (review here) and since then have purchased another palette and recently was provided a BB cream from the company to try which was fantastic (review here)!

In the last year I've been trying different combinations of powders to set my foundation/base as it's just so humid and hot in Singapore that setting your face is a must with some type of powder. I used to purely use a foundation powder but have been trying out different loose powders. I was very excited to receive this to try and it's been yet another fantastic product from Brigitte!

Rave Review: Lady Oscar La Rose de Versailles Liquid Eyeliner in Black!

New favorite eyeliner! Today I'll be bringing to me blog an eyeliner that I've been using for a few months that can easily take over my holy grail Kiss me heroine eyeliner! I found this in the Japanese eyeliner/mascara section of Watsons and this brand is also Japanese which gave me confidence that it would be another awesome eyeliner.

This style of eyeliner is the type that I always buy, a pen form with a fine brush tip! For those interested in a review of my holy grail eyeliner (see here)!

Review: Canmake Marshmallow Transparent Finish Powder in Pearl Natural!

Marshmallow Transparent Finish Powder! For those who have followed my blog and especially my FOTDs you'd know that I always...ALWAYS set my base/foundation with a pressed powder or foundation powder. Some months ago I came across this very finely milled light feeling pressed powder from Canmake and decided on a whim to pick it up!

As someone who has always used heavy duty foundation powders to set my base as my skin is slightly oilier and I love a matte finish this seemed like a good lighter coverage pressed powder to try. I'm now so glad I picked this up as it performed so much better than I expected!

Review: Brigitte Five Oil BB Cream in shade #02 Natural Beige!

Five Oil BB Cream! Today here I have a BB cream from the Japanese brand Brigitte! The distribution company for Brigitte products in Singapore was so kind to send me this product to try! I've already tried  several products from Brigitte last year so I was keen to receive this! (See my review here) It's a brand that although has a french name is from Japan and promotes 'kawaii' culture! Similar to brands like Majolica Majorca and Kanebo Lavshuca this line is full of beautifully designed products that remind me of royalty, princesses and yet a sense of refined femininity!

As someone with combination skin I tend to steer clear of products that have oils or are made with extra oils however although this BB cream is formulated with 5 different oils it has exceeded my expectations and has performed amazingly on me!
