Review: Kate Mineral Powder Foundation in OC-C!

Powder me up with Mineral Powder! It's definitely no surprise to long time readers that I'm a powder freak! I must have pressed powder with me at all times. My favorite type of foundation is pressed and powder as I love being matte. Setting my liquid foundation with pressed powder is also a step I never skip unless the foundation truly has a dry touch finish, I find that most liquid foundation will eventually melt off, sweat off or fade due to my oils at the end of the day and powder keeps everything in place and looking great.

Currently there is only one pressed powder that I've repurchased year after year from ZA, their Perfect Fit two way foundation powder as it's been my favorite. However recently I've purchased  powder from many different brands, giving them all a go since it's the one product I really manage to go through and finish regularly!

Review: Natriv BB & CC Powder Foundation in C2!

BB & CC Powder Foundation! For those who haven't been to Bangkok, it's basically affordable pressed powder heaven! When I do visit Bangkok, I buy at least 6 pressed powder foundations as they are so cheap compared to Singapore at around 100-250 Thai Baht which is around $4-10 Singapore dollars. Considering that my holy grail and most favorite refillable 9 gram pan of powder from ZA cost $18 SGD the prices of the powders in Thailand are just irresistible! I'm somehow who always sets my liquid foundations or has a powder on my face since Singapore is so hot and humid.

Whilst shopping around in Bangkok, I picked up pressed powders mostly from local Thai brands, one being Natriv. Luckily for me all the local brands sell 2-3 shades when it comes to powder and I always manage to easily buy powders to match my complexion.

Review: Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Silk Poreless White Cake Powder in 03 Natural!

Smooth BB Silk Poreless powder! Maybelline in Asia does come up with quite a few interesting products that cater to asian beauty trends/ideals. From eyeliner for highlighter the inner corners of the eyes, to only waterproof mascaras to asian style false lashes and lots of BB products like foundations, creams and powders! This powder is not yet sold in Singapore and I bought this while on holiday last year in Bandung, Indonesia at a pharmacy.

Indonesia carries a larger range of products from all of the regular drugstore brands as well as many of their own local brands of skincare/beauty which I had so much fun browsing! This powder caught my eye as it was so silky smooth when I tested it in store and being a powder fiend I had to get it!

Review: Natriv BB Gluta Snail Powder in C2!

BB Gluta Snail Powder! For those who have never been to Thailand, Bangkok is my favorite stop for food and beauty products amongst many other great, affordable and accessible things to do and get there! The average full sized pressed powder from the convenience stores, drugstores and beauty stores that hold 7-12g of product cost usually around 100-250 Thai Baht which is a crazy cheap price of about $4-10 Singapore dollars. The last few years when I've visited Bangkok I stock up on at least 5 powders all from their local brands!

The thing about their local powders are that they are affordable, super pretty, come in usually 2 shades at most and are great for setting make up with. The 9g refill to my favorite powder in Singapore by the brand ZA cost $18 Singapore dollars normally. Do the math. I wish I lived in Bangkok half the time! For the food, beauty and awesome markets and shopping!

Review: Sana Pore Putty BB Mineral Powder SPF 35! (natural skin color)

BB Mineral Powder time! Those who have followed my FOTD posts and my reviews of bases would know that I'm a powder person. I cannot leave the house without a powder. I will not wear any liquid foundations without setting it with a powder here in humid and hot Singapore! I've tried plenty of mascaras and liquid eyeliners from Japanese brands from Watsons and Sasa but realized some months ago that I really should give pressed powders a shot too since I'm a powder nut!

Japanese drugstore brands which have powders tend to have at most 2-3 shades, all usually yellow based so those who are between a MAC NC20-25 best match the colors usually sold.

Review: Canmake Marshmallow Transparent Finish Powder in Pearl Natural!

Marshmallow Transparent Finish Powder! For those who have followed my blog and especially my FOTDs you'd know that I always...ALWAYS set my base/foundation with a pressed powder or foundation powder. Some months ago I came across this very finely milled light feeling pressed powder from Canmake and decided on a whim to pick it up!

As someone who has always used heavy duty foundation powders to set my base as my skin is slightly oilier and I love a matte finish this seemed like a good lighter coverage pressed powder to try. I'm now so glad I picked this up as it performed so much better than I expected!

Review: 17 Whitening BB Foundation Powder SPF 20 in Beige!

Whitening BB Foundation Powder! In this day and age, BB products are both being made by asian and western brands. There are the sheer ones and the super full coverage ones. There are BB creams, concealers and powders! The term 'BB' has been exploited to the full extent and I'm not surprised if just a regular powder is being called 'BB' so more people would want to buy it!

I picked this up while on holiday in Bangkok last year! We raided boots, korean make up stores and their local beauty stores like the asian version of Sephora while there! Check out my shopping haul here!

Rave Review: Vanill Press Powder in 02!

Vanill Press Powder! I don't know about other ladies here in the blogsphere but I am in love with powders. All pressed powders, any type of pressed powder with coverage I want to try! I got through about one 7-9 gram pan of pressed powder every month, I just love using it on its own or to set my base.

I took the opportunity while I was there to purchase make up and items from brands not found here in Singapore and I got a big bunch of pressed powders knowing that I will eventually use all of them up within the next 6 months to a year!

On my trip to Bangkok last year I bought a bunch of pressed powders including this one! (Check out my Bangkok beauty haul here!)

Review: Catrice Multi Colour Compact Powder for Lighter Skin 010 Rose Beige!

Multicolor compact powder! Having seen a multi colored pressed powder from so many brands, drugstore and some high end brands I've been drawn to how it would work. Most of the time these multi color powders are either corrective, for setting make up or for light coverage. I saw this at the Catrice stand and couldn't help but to get it because it's so cheap!

I chose the shade for lighter skin and as you can see I was really excited to see how it would look on my yellow skin tone as there's a great spray like blend of colors that make up the powder.

Review: Catrice Skin Finish Compact Powder in 031 Warm Beige!

Skin Finish Compact Powder! Everybody needs powder, maybe unless you suffer from very dry skin a good powder as a foundation or for setting your base is so basic and needed in any make up collection. For those who don't wear sunblock having SPF in your foundation or powder is a good replacement.

Here, I've picked up a very sheer coverage powder for everyday use. There are only a few shades in this range but they are so sheer it's easy to blend them out to match most pale to medium skin tones!

Review: 4U2 Symphony Natural Look Oil Control Powder!

Symphony Powder! Being a person who used to suffer from much oilier skin, my habit of always touching up my face with pressed powder whether or not I actually need to has been a continuing habit of mine! I love powders, I usually finish one whole pressed powder every month to month and a half.

When I was on holiday in Bangkok last year I bought a whole bunch of pressed powders, both for setting my make up with and for quick coverage! Check out my Bangkok make up haul here!

Rave review: ZA Perfect Fit two way foundation in OC 10!

ZA Perfect Fit Foundation! This IS my perfect pressed foundation powder! Having used this for the last two years I think I've gone through at least 15 refills (I really should've just collected them all). Out of all the drugstore brand pressed powders, this has the best color match, coverage and long wearing non-transfer quality I've seen of all of them...plus a large amount of product!

The brand ZA is a sister company with Majolica Majorca, UV White and Aqua Label, both which are under Shiseido (NARS and Bare Escentuals are also under them) so they've made it so that the pressed powder size and compacts across all the brands are interchangeable.

Note: I am currently the shade OC 00!

Review: Sasatinnie HD Hydro Matte 2 way cake SPF 25 in 03 Honey!

Powder me in 03 Honey! Being a major user of pressed powders on a daily basis, I decided to pick this up at Sasa two months ago. It's from their own range of make up called "Sasatinnie" which has a really great variety of make up products.

This powder came in 3 shades but I picked up the third, most yellow one which I find matched my neck the best.

Rave review: Couleur Inc. 2-way Cake foundation powder in Natural 02!

2 way cake for me! I've always been a fan of a matte natural finish to my face. Due to my slight oilier skin, I like powder, I LOVE powder! I always love to finish my face with a dusting or 'packing' of heavier foundation pressed powder. My holy grail is by ZA and this is coming up behind it at only half the price!

Rave Review: Sleek Suede Effect Pressed Powder in 01!

Suede Effect Powder! Having seen so much about their i-divine palettes from everybody when ordering on their site I noticed how all their face products such as their liquid foundations and powders are all so affordable! Very few people have reviews on their powders but i decided to go ahead and get a matte pressed powder.

This is the lightest shade in their range, it has SPF and I was just looking for something to set my foundation with!

Rave Review: NYX stay matte but not flat powder foundation! (shade SMP05 soft beige)

Stay Matte but not Flat? Has anyone heard of tried this foundation powder by NYX? I picked this up during my huge NYX haul when I saw Smoochiezz booths with watsons a few months back! Check out my NYX haul here!

I heard that this was a great formulation for those who want matte skin with a natural glow. I swatched my HG ZA powder on my arm and matched it up to this shade, Soft Beige!
