Rave Review: Iope Air Cushion XP in C21!

It's cushion time! It's been a couple years since BB creams and subsequently cushions have flooded the beauty markets. From asian brands, dermatological brands, mainstream western brands and finally high end brands, BB cushions are pretty much everywhere now. My personal experience is basically made up of Laneige's version and this one by Iope which is another super popular pick for cushions.

Review: Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask!

Lip sleeping mask? In my constant hunt looking for another great product to standby to use as I have always on the verge of being too dry lips I came across this product! Much like Laneige's very popular Water Sleeping Mask which is for the face, this is the equivalent but for the lips! I bought mine off Qoo10.com when there was a group buy and I got it for about half the price of what it retails for in Singapore!

Review: Etude House Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint in Lychee!

It's time for Dessert Pudding! For those who are fans of asian make up brands and like lip stains and tints this product is a coming together of the cuteness of asian beauty products together with a strong sturdy lip product. This product was released back before December last year which was around the time which I got it. This product was so cute and alluring that although I rarely buy pot lipcolor I just had to get this to try!

Review: 3CE Glossing Waterful Foundation in Nude Beige!

Glossing, Waterful and Moist! Almost two years after my purchase this review is finally being written! Oh my, it's been waaaaay overdue! So basically about two years ago when I first managed to get my hands on a few 3CE or 3 Concept Eyes products...items from this brand were only avalible online on local webstores or from the brand's own site as well as being sold online by some very smart people and by small beauty shops carrying various bits and bobs. This particular foundation caught my eye as it boasted being very natural looking, moisturizing, giving that very famed 'dewy' korean look and I knew that even though I probably would powder it down I wanted to try it!

I ordered mine from a seller on Qoo10.com who carried various products from the brand. Now this can be much more easily purchased through Sephora.sg, in store at various beauty shops around Singapore and also online at competitive prices.

Review: Laneige Moisture New Essential Care Trial Set! (6 piece mini sized)

Laneige Moisture New Essential Care Trial! Laneige has been a very mainstream korean brand in Asia and in the last few years has gotten plenty of attention in other countries too! I remember using the water sleeping pack a year before Laneige even was sold in Singapore at all as my mom purchased it in-flight! For those unaware, almost every year around year end Laneige carries a set of mini sized products from their moisture line. In the past I'd bought a set for a beauty blogger friend but it was a larger set where a few of the products were much larger than those in this set.

For those who are keen on trying products from this line, do jump on the opportunity if you manage to spot this set! It's an amazing value for money and you get quite a few products to try out instead of just 3 or 4 products like many small sets.

Rave Review: Peripera Summer Sunny Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner Kit!

Summer Sunny Pencil Gel Liner! Anyone who has issues with eyeliner lasting even an hour in their waterline will understand my problems with eyeliners! I love eyeliner in the waterline but I rarely wear any as my waterline tends to be super watery and I tear up all the time when on public transport or when I yawn. I'm not crying but my eyes just tear up so regularly...whether I'm wearing contact lenses or not, make up or not...my eyes refuse to keep dry! Therefore I've had quite a tough time buying eyeliners, even Urban Decay's eyeliners don't last more than an hour in my waterline on good days without fading at least a third off!

The best luck I have with eyeliners have been from asian brands and are gel eyeliners, not just simply a regular pencil eyeliner. My holy grail eyeliner that actually lasts or fades off without any smudging is from Clio so I figured I'd give this set from the korean brand Peripera which I found online from my favorite seller Best Price Breezy at Qoo10.com!

Mini Haul: Innisfree and Anna Sui!

Mini K-beauty haul with Innisfree! After months of really having my beauty and skincare shopping under tight control the two months have seen some lovely hauls in the beauty/skincare department as there have been great summer time sales and my birthday was in August (and of course I was entitled to some shopping)! In this post I bring a small haul from the very affordable korean brand Innisfree which has multiple free standing stores here in Singapore.

I went into Innisfree with the goal of buying hydrogel masks if they had any and a new milky type of moisturizing lotion to replace the ones I've been using from Hada Labo and Aqua Label for years as I feel ready to try something different! Unfortunately (but actually NOT so unfortunately) I ended up getting a few more extra things, a nice freebie set and later in the day I finally bought something I've been lusting after for years!

Review: Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion in shade 13 True Beige!

Pore Control BB Cushion! For those who follow and have tried the trend of BB and now CC cushions I am far far behind in the game. I remember swatching the original first BB cushion from Laneige about 2 years ago or so and I didn't like it. It felt like a thicker tinted moisturizer and the bulky packaging was such a turn off to me. However as time passes and I started seeing reviews I realized that I totally needed to try at least the most raved about cushions!

After so many reviews from different girls I settled on purchasing this from Laneige from the website Qoo10 from an amazing seller called "Best Price Breezy". They sell products from the most popular and very sought after asian brands, plenty of korean brands especially. The compact, refill, extra refill and sponge all were on a sale price I just couldn't pass and hence I seized the moment!

Review: Clio Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner Mini Be Brown set!

Clio Gelpresso Brown eyeliner set! As an girl with smaller asian lids, who has oilier skin and who has super sensitive watery eyes...finding a pencil eyeliner that will stay vibrant and long lasting without smudging is quite a task! For few years I tried looking for a typical waterproof pencil and nothing will stay in my lower waterline for more than an hour however more than two years ago when I discovered Clio's gelpresso eyeliners I had hit jack pot!

For those interested in seeing my review on the full sized Clio Gelpresso gel liner pencils (see here!) This set was purchased online during a sale from one of my favorite sellers Best Price BREEZY on the website Qoo10, which is a sort of regional asian  ebay type site. Do check out their other awesome asian cosmetics/skincare products and look out for their sales and great exclusive products!

Review: Memebox Special #50 Step-by-Step Skincare!

Step-by-Step Skincare! For those who are new to asian skincare products and routines, it's not uncommon that the 'normal' number of steps in a night time skincare routine can contain 6-9 steps! This korean skincare box from memebox includes 6 steps: Tone, essence, ampoule, moisturize, sunscreen and treatments! These steps are meant to be done one after another as layering skincare is very common in east asian routines as it's believed to help the different products absorb into the skin and to improve effective of how the products work!

"Korean skin care is a multi-step daily routine that sparks a ton of intrigue in the beauty world. Its billion-step regimen sounds a bit extreme to outsiders looking in, but it all boils down treating, hydrating, and protecting skin, and preventing damage before it starts."

Haul: My first Innisfree beauty haul (Nov 2014)!

INNISFREE ME! Yes, as of November the popular super affordable brand Innisfree has been in Singapore for one year! I wasn't aware of this until I left the shop and noticed the free gift I was given in my bag. Innisfree is like  Skin Food and The Face Shop in the sense that they have a wide range of products with lots of fruit/vegetable ingredients. However Innisfree is the most popular of these three brands and is also the most affordable too!

There are two giant Innisfree shops in singapore, one in the basement of Ngee Ann City and the other in Dhouby Ghaut Atrium. Both sell everything from eyeshadows, foundation, BB cushions, lipsticks, face masks, skincare, nail polishes and more! Be warned, everything is really affordable you'll go insane once you see the price tags!

Review: Memebox Special #42 OMG 3!

OMG 3! Cheers to another memebox! I've been lucky enough to have memebox providing me boxes to review and this is the third one I've received, the last one being the Special #33 K-Style 2 (see my review here!) which was my favorite of the two boxes I've tried so far. My first memebox was the OMG 2 which was all skincare (see my review here!) The OMG 3 like the other OMG boxes are suppose to bring the cool, weird, trendy and inventive products to us!

This box definitely has some great products! I've been testing everything the last 10 days and some products have really been beyond awesome, I did have trouble with one product otherwise this is a really interesting and worth while box! I've summarized all descriptions and usage info but you can see the full details on the card included in the box!

Review: The Face Shop Mango Seed Cleansing Butter!

Mango Seed Cleansing Butter! Some months ago all The Body Shop's Camomile Cleansing balm was all I was seeing around and although I could get this here in store the price is just so ridiculously pricey that I decided on never picking it up. However I have to admit that I would like to try it, if only there was a smaller size on sale! Hence when I saw this cleansing butter from The Face Shop and it was half the price of The Body Shop's I had to pick it up to try!

In comparison to the Camomile balm, this is a 'butter' as it's more of a thick whipped buttery texture whereas The Body Shop's is a solid balm which isn't cream on touch. I knew I wasn't trying something that's a dupe but I just couldn't resist the mango seed scent!

Review: Memebox Special #32: OMG 2!

OMG 2! I was lucky enough to be sent this memebox from the company about two weeks ago now to review! I've since used everything but one item and it's time to do an all encompassing reviewing of this box! According to Memebox, the Memebox Special #32: OMG 2 is suppose to come with 4-8 full sized products of which I received 6 products mostly all fulled sized. This box is a skincare box with items for the face and two types of face mask.

I was super excited on knowing I was getting my first memebox ever and although I'm always a bit more excited when it comes to make up, I was not disappointed by the array and performance of products in the OMG 2!

Rave Review: Cathy Doll Vit C Cookie Blusher in 01 Winter Red Tea!

Hand over that Cookie Blusher! Okay, so I have to admit that despite the HUGE amount of beauty items I bought when I had a holiday in Bangkok, Thailand last year (see my haul here!) I really regret not picking up more things! I know, I know, I have one face, two eyes, two cheeks, one big mouth and only 10 fingers and toes to apply things to!

Karmart is a korean beauty shop that has so many outlets all over bangkok and in this outlet at the entrance of a train station stop I just had to pick up this beauty of a baked blusher! I mean, just the marbelized finish caught my eye and how glowy it was on swatch! I also sent one to Pam from Jade in the Palace in a swap!

Review: 3CE Back to Baby BB cream! (3 Concept Eyes)

Back to Baby BB! Now that so many companies from Asian to Western are producing their version of a BB cream it's hard to figure out which one to buy first or try! I personally prefer a medium coverage BB cream with a more yellow undertone.

The BB cream I have here today is from the much sought after brand 3CE which is slowing getting onto everyone's radar! Currently I own this BB cream and a foundation from them which will be eventually reviewed!

Skincare review: The Face Shop Smart Peeling Jelly Apple Peeling wash!

Jelly Apple wash! I'm someone who is easily fascinated by products that use plant or fruit extracts or ingredients, I guess we just all like to think that if it has something natural in it, it should be good for us! I have been trying out a couple different jelly 'peeling' face washes which are meant to help exfoliation of the top layer of dead skin cells without being rough on the skin. This was the first of a few I've tried so far.

Rave Review: Clio Art Blusher in 2 Pink!

Marble baked rosy blush! This blush was an impulse buy the moment I saw it on a blog sale on a local beauty blogger who I love and adore by the name of Juli from Bun Bun Makeup Tips (See blog sale here). Her blog is amazing for asian girls who want to become technical with eyeshadow placement as she has the best online guide for shadow placement and explanations of types of lids, and where to place what for desired effects! (See her amazing tutorial here, here, here and here!)

I didn't even know that this product was released or even sold locally in store so when I saw that she was selling this at a discount I jumped at the chance and HAD to get the beautiful marbled rose one!
