Haul: Very late make up/skin care goodies from Dec 2011! (Pic heavy w Japanese/Korean brands)

Just photos from a haul mom and I did when there were great deals going on store wide in Watsons last Decemeber! Enjoy the photos! If you are interested in anything, drop me a question below and I'll see if I can help!

If you didn't know, it's very uncommon to have deals or discounts at beauty shops or pharmacies in Singapore. So whenever there's a 15% or 20% (which is the norm) that's when people tend to buy more than just one or two products.

In December Watsons had a 30% off sale on most make up and 20% off on most other products in store and it was packed, crazy and people were stocking up like nuts! I love seeing people so enthuastic!

Products currently CANNOT be exchanged or refunded once opened/used in Singapore. This is the same in the UK unlike in the states, so you really have to swatch in the store for make up and research before hand for skin care!

If you like korean/japanese make up, BB creams and such...there's lots of picture below! Enjoy!

Quick look: Maybelline color sensational lipstick in Totally Toffee! (swatches)

This was my first color sensational lipstick from Maybelline and it's a favorite of mine! Been loving brown toned nudes to tone down the brightness of my naturally very pigmented lips!

Review: Hada Labo AHA/BHA Exfoliating Face Wash (Japanese skincare)

I picked this up in early January after having done research on AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) and BHA (salicylic acid) properties. How the chemical exfoliates may be best for sensitive skin. Hada Labo is famous for their hydrating line of skin care and especially their hyaluronic acid.

I'm not buying into the 'lock the moisture' into your skin thing, especially if you're after long term benefits but I saw this and decided I needed to try a new defoliator as my skin really needs consistent exfoliation to keep bump free.

Special: 100th blog post featuring Too Faced Natural Eye Kit!

So happy to say this is my 100th blog post! To celebrate here's photos of something I attained a month ago which I am in love with!

This is just one of the things I got from the States through someone my brother knew.

It's avaliable here at Sephora but is more than double the price, although after seeing photos of the newest Summer 2012 palette I wouldn't mind paying full price!

No swatches sorry, Karla Sugar and many other blogs have excellent swatches of the all the shades and since there isn't much product in each smaller shadows I hope I don't hit pan too soon on any of these because they are amazing!

Mini Haul: Skin Food nail polishes & eyeliner brush! (swatches)

Here's a mini nail polish haul I did a while ago...I rarely buy much nail polish but I'd actually finished a bottle of my favorite gray shade from skin food.

At the same time I chose a couple more and picked up another eyeliner brush for gel lining which I featured and reviewed in my Kate gel eyeliner post here!

The majority of my nail polishes are from The Face Shop or Skin Food, I've got a couple Sally Hansen, Revlon and some cheaper asian brands.

The Face Shop and Skin Food products are Korean and are all made in Korea.

Shopping Haul: Clothes from EXPORT in Phnom Penh (during visit)

Hello all! Another thank you to new followers! This is great motivation to continue blogging through the busy times!

I've got two big deadlines this week so tonight's probably the last posts until this weekend or next week!

This is a haul of all the casual clothes I got when I was in Cambodia visiting my classmates and staying with my best friend during my January school break.

I bought everything here at a franchaise shop there called "EXPORT", they sell goods from brands like Abercromie & fitch, hollister, target brands, jc penny brands, dockers, ralph polo, kipling...just big names...a lot and much of these brands produce their goods in cambodia, vietnam, thailand before it's shipped off to be sold. I'm assuming some maybe slight rejects but most are not, they even have the tags for selling in store overseas.

Now with shops like this it's great for tourists to pick up casual and for men, formal and work wear at much cheaper prices than regular, if you need something altered like pants shorter....it's just a dollar at the local market that'll take a short while.

Cambodia uses US dollars so all costs are so. I spent about $120 US for all this! I would've bought more but I didn't have enough on me!

Quick look: Revlon Colorburst Lipbutter in Brown Sugar! (swatches!)

It's official! I spotted Revlon colorburst lip butters just about two weeks ago at Watsons, Gaurdian and at Revlon stands in NTUC! I grabbed a copy of the advert pamphlet laying tucked away at the side!

The bad news is that we only have 8 shades out of 21! Boo hoo!!

I picked up 020 Brown sugar with a 20% off at Watsons so I paid about $12 SGD instead of the U.P. of $15.95!

Quick look: Lip Ice Menthol lipbalm in 3 flavors!

Lipbalms! Always on the look out for something new! Always looking for something that will soothe lips and feel great. These are the ones I always fall back on...especially the lemon one! Love Lip Ice menthol lipbalms!

Review: Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover in Orchre 20! (swatches/comparison)

I decided to get this pressed foundation powder from Majolica Majorca back in late December after my second Maybelline mineral power case broke and i couldn't find the refill for my coloeur inc powder foundation!

It's been going very well, this case is sturdy, looks great and can fit powders from ZA, Shiseido, Aqua Label and Majolica Majorca...they're all under Shiseido...that's why!

Rave Review: Kate Gel Eyeliner in 3 shades! (easy EOTD w/liner)

Finally! This has been put off for far too long! I've been using these for about 3 months now and loving every bit of these glorious pots of gel liner!

After trying a bunch of waterproof eyeliners and nothing really being 'waterproof' I picked up the Kate gel eyeliner in BK-1 (black) on a whim...only to discover it was one of the best make up moves I've made!

Local beauty blogger at Bun Bun Make up tips also raves and love the affordability and quality of these as much as I do! Check out her review and comparison with MAC's gel eyeliner!

Continue below for the review and a FOTD with the eyeliners!

Special: FOTD First day back to visit friends in Cambodia!

This was a sort of 'go to' look I did the first morning after arriving in Phnom Penh, Cambodia about a little over a month ago. I went to visit old classmates and I stayed with my best friend.

I brought the Lancome Absolu Voyage palette for all my eye make (reviewed here) and brought Canmake blush PW24 (reviewed here) to use, I may have layered it with the blush included in the lancome kit so it's a bit pink looking in photos!

Nothing special, just an easy, natural but glam everyday look...I'm going easy on foundation nowadays, just concealer and powder and I plan to wear more blush, it really can make a face come alive!

Continue below for the list of products used!

Just love how fluttery my lashes can look with a good coat of mascara!

Food: #1 Shots of yummy home cooked dishes!

Just some shots of food I took a while back, all things home cooked and prepared! Lovely stuff!

Home made wantons and mee goreng (sweet sauce noodles)

Prawn and pork wantons in rice skin hence white color not yellow!

Egg and mayo mix with tomatos on toast!

Stir fried teriyaki pork slices, snow beans, fried prom fret fish and beef satay!

Homecooked curry chicken with prata and sugar (prata was defrosted and cooked)

Soya bean milk from the famous Singapore Selegie brand!

What kinds of food do you love most preparing and eating at home?
Or are you more an eat out/take out person?
Let me know!

Quick look: Skin Food Candy Moist Rouge lipstick in 682 (nude shade)!

This lipstick was picked up by my mom sometime ago in Korea...it's Skin Food's "Candy Moist Rouge" lipstick in a glazed sort of nude shade 682!

It looks lovely but the formula was horrible! Maybe because it's old?

Quick look: Maybelline Angelfit Blush in Creamy Cinnamon (swatch!)

An easy to use rosy pink blush I picked up during a sale in December for my mom! She's been using the same blush from Clinique for now almost 3 years and it's hit major pan! It's a beautiful coral color that looks lovely on her tan complexion but she wanted something pink so I picked this up!

This blush is part of the permanent 'Angelfit' line in Asia...although the Angelfit pressed powders are gone! They were amazing like all the other pressed powders from Maybelline, although there were tiny bits of shimmer in it...it really gave your face a 'glow'.

Review: Maybelline Clear Smooth Aqua gel foundation in 3 shades (swatches!)

Hey everyone! This is one of my favorite foundations, so easy to use, inexpensive and was perfect for my combination (oily) skin. It's a water-based, oil free gel foundation from Maybelline and is great for quick mornings and when you want light coverage.

However I haven't used these regularly in a while as my skin has gotten dry around the mouth and this formula tends to sinks on dry areas if I apply this around the laugh lines region! I still would use this on my forehead/cheeks/neck as it has a really natural matte finish.

This would be great for beginners, that is if you can find a color match! (there are too FEW shades!)

Review: Pure Beauty Perfect Cleansing oil/water (sensitive and regular)!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted...but life has been messy, amazing and scary. I've just finished my mock exams with finals in a few months, that and lots of important things due in the coming weeks so I haven't given myself time to sit down and blog properly! I've got a short break now so I'll do my best.

Thanks to those who are following and I will be checking out the many posts I've missed!

I'm sure lots of people have heard of cleansing oils. From Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown and various organic/skin care lines that are offering a more 'natural' method of removing and moisturizing the skin.

These I picked up at the local drugstore Watsons here in Singapore when they were on sale. They're made in Korea for Watsons and are under the name "Pure Beauty". One was labeled "Normal skin w/Soybean" and the other "Sensitive skin".
