Review: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Galaxy!

Galaxy Apocalips! Rimmel's line of Apocalips lip lacquers have been very popular the last two years especially since they released much later in the US under the name of 'Show Off' instead of Apocalips! Rimmel used to be sold in Singapore but the last two years it looks like Rimmel cosmetics are completely pulled out of our drugstores although you can find their nail polishes!

Similar to many products I have I purchased this through the most awesome Shopping-district.net which is a local singapore website selling drugstore products and more that are not found easily or not found at all in Singapore such as ELF, Covergirl, certain L'oreal/Maybelline products and more!

Review: ZA True White Liquid Foundation in shade OC00!

True White Liquid Foundation! I'm not sure about where you ladies are in the world but here in Singapore and other south east asian countries like Malaysia, Philipines, Indonesia and Thailand there's a regional brand owned by Shiseido called 'ZA'. They've got a large range of bases and have a decent range of eyeshadows, lipsticks and blushes that cater more to asian taste of light-medium pigment/moist lip finishes!

I personally have been using their Perfect Fit Two Way pressed powder for now 5 years and it's a holy grail (See my review) I also love their Perfect Fit liquid concealer (See my review) which I've been using for years too! I'm using the same shade of foundation as I am in their powder line OC00!

First look using the Sleek i-Candy palette! (bright candy pink)

Candy pink eyes with Sleek! Too often I hear ladies say that pinks tend to make their eye are look swollen or unflattering but to be honest I can't agree at all. It's totally down to what undertones there are in the shade and how you use them on your eyes! It can be as simple as a one shade shimmery light pink all over to a bold matte hot pink pop in the center of lid of a brown smoky look! I knew I had to do an all pink look after buying the Sleek i-candy palette!

Holiday Special: Day 2 In Bangkok, Thailand! (Jan 2015)

Day 2 in Bangkok, Thailand! For those who saw my first holiday post, I recently visited Bangkok with my mother for 4 nights and 5 days! We spent our entire time eating, eating, shopping, shopping and walking around a lot! On day 2 after a simple noodle breakfast and a stick of BBQ chicken hearts we took the train into town where I visited Beauty Buffet (which I planned to visit) and then the supermarket for pet snacks and the pharmacy!

Those interested in seeing my post on Day 1 & part of Day 2 in Bangkok see here!

Snack round up for November/December 2014!

Year End Snacks! Yes! I have been going through way too many snacks the last few months but I think I went through the most during the last two months last year! My boyfriend does help me out with the snacks you see but sometimes I'm guilty of finishing some by myself! I had gone a bit crazy going between japanese type snacks and lots of chips! I've got a thing for salty and sweet, eaten together or one after another!

However for this year I totally will be cutting back on these salty/sweet snacks that I really shouldn't have lying around! I'm never one to totally cut something out but I will be eating these less in order to get fitter!

Totally taupe eyes with a mauvey rose cheek!

Totally Taupe! This very popular cool toned brown shade although is super popular and looks great on many ladies is a shade I rarely actually use. I tend to always gravitate towards bronzes, caramels, golden toned browns and other pinky toned neutrals. I do find taupe a very complementary shade on my eyes but personally prefer other tones and shades of browns.

When I do want an eye look with a taupe shade I gravitate towards a trio from Majolica Majorca which features a gorgeous rich silvery taupe shade! (see my review here)

Review: Estee Lauder Travel Exclusive Pure Color Gloss Collection! (Duty Free)

Pure Color Gloss Collection! I've always been one who loves to buy, collective and give mini sized duty free products. Everytime I take a flight and have to pass through an airport that has a good cosmetic section at duty free I'll easily take half an hour to an hour and a half browsing, swatching and buying at least one or two items!

Here we have a gorgeous set of mini sized lipglosses from Estee Lauder! For the last 6 months and still currently at duty free in south east asia. In the past I've bought a set of Dior lipglosses at duty free (see review here) and a Juicy tubes set from Lancome (see review here) so I just had to get this!

Holiday Special: Day 1 & 2 in Bangkok, Thailand! (Jan 2015)

Day 1 & 2 in Bangkok, Thailand! I recently was away for 5 days with my mom on a food and shopping trip to the most awesome and jam packed Bangkok! My blog ran as normal as I was gone as I always pre-write my blog post so I just had to click 'post' while I was away! It's super easy for first time travellers or seasoned visitors to get around Bangkok city cheaply and easily! It's a bustling city for those who love food, shopping, friendly people and a huge array of old school markets and upscale modern hotspots!

This post is of our first evening there and the next day's first morning in Bangkok. I will be breaking up my holiday in posts by days and then separate posts for the haul of snacks, beauty and then skincare shopping! Hope everyone enjoys the photos!

Review: Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil!

Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil! Innisfree is not only a super affordable korean brand but they have such a great range of make up removers! From foaming cleanser to waters and oil, they are formulated with fruit/plant ingredients and extracts like apple and green tea! I totally was on the hunt for a cleansing oil and after using the tester in store to remove a lipstain and eyeliner in store I thought I should bring this guy home! I totally want the green tea cleansing water too, so I'll be going back for that!

10 Things: I Love Eating!

Things I love eating! After reading another fellow bloggers post about foods she'd rather not eat I realized that I HAD to do a post about all the foods I love to eat. I pretty much will eat almost anything that's cooked and tasty. I like all types of flavors, spices, cooking techniques and cuisines. It's almost hard for me to think of food I don't like!

In the past I wrote a post called "10 Things: I wish I knew about make up as a Teen" (see it here!) and so I thought I'd be extending the '10 Things' series on my blog with this post of things I love eating!

My Perfect Smokey Pink-Brown eyes! (1028 Brownie Eyes Palette)

Perfect Smokey Pink-Brown Eyes! For many ladies a neutral eye look tends to be quite simple, maybe one shadow or two shades at most. Something light in color and wearable to the office or for the day time. However when I think of the perfect neutral eye it has depth, shimmer, some smokiness but all from neutral shades and no black eyeshadow!

This look is the epitome of my perfect type of smokey neutral eyes. It had pink and brown tones, bright and dark and lots of shimmer as well as being perfectly blended out thanks to the amazing quality of eyeshadow from my 1028 Brownie Eyes palette!

Rave Review: Banna Fruit Scrubs in Tamarind, Coconut and Pineapple!

Fruity body scrubs! As someone who doesn't use many body care products I've been trying out a lot more gels and scrubs the last two years and I particularly love scrubs and washes with fruit/plant ingredients. For those who visit beach towns in Thailand like Phuket/Krabi/Koh Samui it's a MUST to visit all the small souvenir shops as some sell these local made body products that smell so much of authentic fruit/plant ingredients!

When on my holiday in Krabi, Thailand last year I picked out three fruit based scrubs at a shop having a deal on buying three tubs! It was a shop filled with at least 15 varieties of scrubs/moisturizers, other beauty products and lots of accessories and jewelry. Even buying one would be a steal as they are sooo affordable in Thailand compared to the brands that sell similar types of products in Singapore!

Food Post: Things baked in November/December 2014! (cake, cookies, cupcakes)

Year end home baked goodies! Since last year it's become a habit for me to bake more towards the end of the year. The blogsphere towards year end is just flooded by tutorials and recipes and posts of beautifully decorated cakes, sweet home made desserts, cakes, pies and everything yummy! Last year my boyfriend and I made cookies and cranberry buns around the end of the year which I featured in a similar year end baking post! (See the full post here!)

This year I tried to step it up a bit and although I didn't bake many items I think the quality of everything was really good! For those who missed my recent home made cinnamon sugar rolls post (see it here!) Also if you'd like to see my banana muffins and cream custard pie (see it here!)

Bold eyes, food and a beautiful cake! Hey ladies, I really hope 2015 got off to a great start for all of you! Here is a simple yet bold blue lined eye look I did when I had a lunch with my old classmate! We met up for a yummy thai lunch and on the same day I made, frosted and decorated a cake for my mom's birthday!

Empties for November/Decemeber 2014!

MEGA Empties Time!! Yes, YES! It's time again to throw out all the old! For those who have seen any of my empties posts, I keep empties for 2-3 months and then do a collective empties post. I tend to go through more skincare/body care than make up like everyone else although I go through pressed powder like water!

I love seeing other ladies' empties post as it's really neat to see what things they finished and which items they'd repurchase. Hope you find something in my post that interest you to try it!

Review: Shiseido InteGrate Milky Flower Cheek Limited in 1 Flower Pink!

Milky! Shiny! Flowers! Don't as me what that's exactly suppose to mean! Those exact same words are on the front of the packaging! I think the 'milky' refers to the gradient colors and how the shades are a bit pastel/soft in tone, the 'shiny' maybe due to the shimmer and the 'flowers'...well that one remains a giant mystery to me!

This beautiful blush was purchased through the Japanese cosmetics site Ichibankao.com, the sell everything from Japanese drugstore brands like Kate, Visee, Lavshuca to departmental store high end brands like Jill Stuart, THREE, Addiction and Suqqu!

This brand InteGrate is a Shiseido owned brand and it can be found on the website under 'Shiseido'. All prices on the website include shipping so what you pay for both the product/shipping is the price listed for each product!

Bright Green Elf Inspired eyes!

Green Elf Inspired eyes! This look was created back in December when I was inspired  by the colors of the festive season! Plenty of ladies were doing gold eye looks and glittery looks with red lips but not as many were using another very common festive color, GREEN!

When I think of green, I think of christmas trees and cookie icing and also little elves and their outfits! Here I'm using greens for this elf inspired eye look! It's wearable enough for day time but great for night time too!

Review: Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation in "Cheers to Me" Champagne!

HELLO Flawless! Those of us who wear foundation regular know how important it is to have different types of foundations. Maybe we have one that we'd reach for everyday, one for special occasions and lots in between that we are trying out and hoping will have a loving spot in our collection! I've always been curious about trying either the liquid or powder foundations from Benefit but as it's a bit marked up here I've held off purchasing either.

This gorgeous mini sized Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation from Benefit was gifted to me in a swap from the loveliest Pam from Jade in the Palace blog! I was sooo excited to not only try it but thought it was sooo adorable that they managed to make this sample the same packaging as the full sized product!

Celebratory gold and purple eye look! (Sleek vintage romance)

Celebrate with gold and purple! I know, I know...for those who view all or most of my eye looks I'm a huge fan of gold/purple looks so this type of look is a bit repeated! I just can't get enough of this combination which just is so perfect given the shades in Sleek's Vintage Romance palette. When I think festive period and glamorous looks a rich golden and purple look comes to mind!

For those who are more interested in seeing my review and looks of Sleek's Vintage Romance palette (see here!) This palette is best for those who love purples, golds and shimmery neutrals!

Rave Review: Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Volum Express Mascara!

Big Lashes with Big Eyes! As of a few months ago Maybelline has brought in some products from their 'Big Eyes' which include 3 or 4 quads from Maybelline Japan, a mascara and some liquid eyeliners meant for brightening the waterline/lower lash line. I just could not resist trying the mascara after seeing the wand in store and seeing that this was a double ended mascara!

I've been a big fan of most of maybelline's mascaras. Pretty much 99% of the time mascaras here only sell in the waterproof formula, I don't know anyone here who buys non-waterproof. It's so humid and people tend to have oily skin, plus waterproof formula holds up a curl all day!
