Rave review: The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub and Foot Rescue!

Peppermint foot therapy! For all of those ladies who suffer now and again from thickening heel skin and calluses or other foot related skin issues here are two products that can and will change your life! I've been using this scrub for now 5 years and the cream now and again but both products are worth the cost and worthy of being repurchased due to how effective they are!

I almost never buy anything from The Body Shop, I used to be a big fan but no more. I can buy shower gels for much cheaper and buy tea tree oil from Thursday plantation that gives you so much more product! Their body scrubs are so pricey here and you only get 200ml!

Continue below for the reviews!
The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub and Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue!
The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue cream for feet!
Packaging & Product!

Nothing special packaging wise, these two products for the feet are easily recognized by their 100ml sized tub and the label with the blue foot print! I quite like the packaging though although a tub is not the most hygienic packaging especially since this is a thick cream that could've easily been packaged in a tube with a squeeze nozzle.

Fairly small at 100ml this Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue is a thick heavy cream that's meant to intensively hydrate the feet. This smells lightly of peppermint and is a light pink color like the tub. I find that you need the small tiny amount and when applied to any part of the feet it melts into your skin and has a light greasy feel that transforms the feeling of your foot skin overnight.

I'd usually wear this at night and it would absorb over night since it is so thick. This truly works and really moisturizes and keeps the skin soft and helps preventing the heels or skin in general from getting thick so quickly.

The formula is so thick and creamy like a firm butter cream that it won't move at all out of the tub!
The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub! This is my holy grail foot scrub product!

Again you get 100ml of this product! This amount can last many many months!
Packaging & Product!

Much like the Foot Rescue cream this is packaged in a 100ml sized tub and is a nice solid thick blue plastic which I actually quite fancy. This tub packaging is very appropriate for the product as the consistency of the product would unikely come out of a squeeze tube very easily. Also this is meant for your feet so I don't mind if the product gets some water or other product into it as it's not going onto my face!

This is a very intense fresh peppermint scent, just like darlie tooth paste! It's refreshing while you use it but it doesn't last at all or do anything else. The texture is like a firm jelly that's very moist. This scrub feels like solid jelly that's been blended with bits of pumice stone. The scrub is made up of mostly pumice stone which is awesome which means this makes for a really rough and effective scrub unlike others that are a cream/gel with a bit of stone bits.

I apply a small amount of this on my wet feet usually on the heels and then using a pumice stone I scrub this product against my heels and sides of feet that get thickened skin. This product completely gets rid of excessive thick skin and peeling off dried bits of skin.

The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub!
I'd recommend this scrub only for those with normal to moderate foot skin problems, if you have super cracked heels that bleed or open wounds, do not use this! This is perfect for removing thickened skin and build up of surface cracks on the feet.

The Body Shop Peppermint Smoothing Pumic Foot Scrub and Foot Intensive Rescue!
Paid: Both are $21.90 SGD each or about $17.50 USD

(The Body Shop products are so expensive here! I rarely buy anything from them because I find the prices ridiculous! However this has been worth repurchasing time and time again!)

Recommend: Yes! If you are looking for a heavy duty foot scrub with stone bits, this is exactly what you need and this tub can easily last 4-6 months!

Repurchase: Yes! I have been repurchasing this for the last 5 years! It has worked and continues to!

Bottom line: A very effective and rough foot scrub, using this together with a stone foot scrub (pumice stone) makes it work doubly as well and I wouldn't think what other tool you'd use to rub this against a foot anyway! This turns rough, crackled heels into smooth, baby skin and supple feeling feet that any pair of sandals would show off happily!

Have you used pumice stone foot scrub before?
Think you need this in your life?
Let me know!

Thank you!

  1. Thanks for the review! It is definitely something I will be checking out soon (whenever I finish with my current foot scrub of course). If its something that you have been using for the past five years, then it has to be good!

  4. Oh I used to have the foot deo spray from this range but it didn't work for me and instead giving me stinky feet!! T.T
Because of the mostly cold weather here, I mostly wear closed shoes and in winter, I have to wear thick socks inside winter boots, so foot deo is a must! too bad the one from TBS didn't work out for me T.T
my fave foot scrub is the rough sugar scrub from the brand Rituals ^^

  6. Yeah, The Body Shop can be a bit pricey, but I love their products nonetheless! I haven't tried these, but I find my feet do need a little bit more care in the summertime so I'm going to keep an eye out for them!
