Special: I won a giveaway!

First giveaway winnings! Yay! It's a very happy month! I've not only got a lot of work I intended to do done and have a lot more well under way but I've been very happily balancing work, school and blogging far better than I thought I would be!

I've begun to enter giveaways since December last year when I realized if I never entered I'd never have a chance to win. I used to never enter any as I didn't think I'd win! One day I received an e-mail from the lovely Evelyn from We were Raised by Wolves blog and she informed me I won her giveaway!

Food post : How I cook Chinese fried rice!

Home made Chinese fried rice! I have yet to meet an asian who was raised in asia who doesn't eat or like fried rice! I'm a giant fan of fried rice and order it everywhere I go just to see how they do it! I love my fried rice with egg, meat and lots of bits of veg!

Here I show everyone how I make fried rice at home! I use a variety of fresh vegetables and never use frozen peas/carrots/corn! I much prefer having all fresh ingredients. Remember that ingredients can always be substituted and changed to what you prefer!

Rave review: K-Palette 24H Real Lasting Eyeliner 1 Day Tattoo!

A 24H lasting eyeliner? When it comes to a black eyeliner for our lids all ladies need a solid black long lasting liquid eyeliner. No matter if you prefer it with a dip brush or in a pen held form, a long lasting, smudge proof true black eyeliner is so essential.

I've used a couple asian brand eyeliners formulated for oilier lids and the thin brushes perfect for tiny asian lids. Other eyeliners I really have loved or still use are Peripera Very Nice Brush eyeliner and Kiss me Heroine smooth liquid eyeliner!

January Empties 2014!

January Empties! Yet another very bountiful month of products being used up! I always feel so full of happiness when I finish up products. I've been really clearing out my products and any back ups or extra products I've bought and stored on the side.

I plan to use through all of the products I've bought last year this year and will not be buying new products if I already have another that is of the same type. I've been doing very well on this and have bought very few new bodycare/skincare bits these last three months!

FOTD: My 'Perfect' neutral eye for fucshia lips!

Neutral and fuchsia! Heya ladies! Having been doing a lot of fun, bold, colorful looks which I absolutely love to do when I've got the day or two in the week off school or work I've missed doing neutrals. Hence, it was a simple day out with my boyfriend for dinner that I decided to do my version of a classic neutral eye with a hot pink lip!

In the last year, only 1/10 of my make up looks I wore lipstick, 4/10 lip product at all and maybe 3/10 a revlon lip butter! Here I've got my favorite shade of lipstick...when I do wear lipstick!

Food post: January 2014 eats!

Monthly eats for January! I do hope everyone had a delicious January! I didn't eat too much out in January as I'm trying to save up for this year in general. I've already spent a small bomb on a 4 night holiday for next month to Thailand but I got the room at 50% and the tickets at a huge savings too.

However, I'm a person who much rather spend money on the quality of the food going into me than on the bag I'm carrying! So here's all the yummy things I have eaten last month!

Ichiban Boshi: Tuna and tamago sushi, beef rice bowl, tofu with egg roe mayo, stone rice bowl with seafood and a salad with cold tofu! This Japanese franchise has amazing quality and is very affordable!

Gifts from Mom: Jim Thompson scarf, La tweez brush set and tweezers!

Happy February everyone! I know you're probably hearing this from all youtubers but I can't believe this month is more than half over! 2014, why are you speeding by so quickly, I'm scared! I've got so much to process this year!

Here are some goodies my mother brought back from a short beach resort holiday late last year. She visited some factory outlet stores and also picked me up two goodies onboard.

FOTD: Duo chrome blue eye look and a coral cheek!

Golden-blue duochrome shimmer! Oh, I was at such awe when I spotted this unique blue gold and other gorgoues super shimmery shades in Beauty Buffet in Bangkok! (It's a thai owned make up/skin franchise) I've never seen this shade before and thought I just had to have it!

Here I used it very simply, having no idea of what other shades to work it with, I didn't want to combine it with other blues as I thought it'd be much too bold than what I was aiming for. So I ended up just pairing it easily with brown in the crease.

Skincare review: Biore Cleansing Oil!

Super cleansing oil! I've yet come across a cleansing oil that I really love ever since a bad experience with a cleansing water product a few years ago. Since then, I've completely swept aside trying out any cleansing oils or water make up removers!

After seeing so many wonderful reviews of cleansing oils being miricle make up removers with no tugging or pulling and trying a travel kit size of a Shu Uemura cleansing oil I immediately was in love and knew I had to pick up another one from any other brand to try! Biore is very well known for their variation of make up removers and awesome wipes, so finally I bought my first full sized cleansing oil very happily!

Rave Review: K-palette Zero Kuma Cover Control Concealer in 02 Yellow Beige!

Kick ass Kuma Concealer! Looking for a super super matte, long wearing, waterproof, pigmented concealer? You've got all of these qualities with this amazing liquid concealer from K-palette. This brand is famous for their eyeliner and I've been using it and it is amazing (review coming soon).

In the mean while I was looking for a new liquid concealer for those days I just want to spot conceal around my face and saw testers for this and tried them out. This particular shade didn't have a tester but from the swatches of the other shades, the formulation seemed amazing there in store on my hand, I was convinced it was going to be worth my time and picked this up!

Special: Pink Lolita look for a bold Valentine's day 2014!

Lolita Kawaii for Valentine's! Greeting my beautiful followers! I've been very tired and busy and have been preparing all of my post in advanced so I am really not as free to blog as I may seem! It was about a week ago when I thought it was time to start doing a Valentine's day look, and what started off as wanting to do a simple look ended up into this bold pink and purple look!

I used my beautiful new Sleek Snapshots Palette (my haul here!) for this look, the quality of the color and the textures are just flawless! My look turned out to be bolder than I intended and I ended up making this into a Japanese Lolita doll look!

Skincare review: Biore Aqua Rich UV Face Mousse!

Mousse me up! After having seen this line from Biore many times again in store and having helped bought a blogger friend a version of this sunblock I decided to pick up the mousse formula! I'm someone who doesn't ever wear sunblock, even though I'm developing pigmentation and skin needs protection I've always just been lazy or hate the feeling of sunblock products!

This product is meant to not be sticky or dewy and with the high sun protection factor I had to pick this up to try and use beneath my make up!

Food: Home made Guo Tie (Pan fried dumplings)!

Home made dumplings! I don't know about all my other Chinese brothers and sisters out there but I would die if I didn't have dim sum every now and then. I'm just such a huge eater and lover of chinese tid bits, cuisine and food in general! I don't really have a 'favorite' dim sum as I love too many of them the same!

Ever since learning how to make pan fried dumplings, I've been making them at home every now and then, my dough is thicker than what you get at the chinese restaurants but I can't be bothered to roll them too thin and risk them breaking!

Mini Haul: The Face Shop Christmas Mask set, blue polishes and mug!

Late Christmas haul! Yes, I'm posting a mini haul from Christmas now! In February! My family is a normal chinese family, we don't celebrate or give a crap about Christmas, we were not raised with any values or loves for the occasion, it's just another nice holiday time of the year!

My boyfriend gifted me the Urban Decay Smoked palette and my dad helped to pay for half of my new camera and that's about it. Since my camera was more than $600 I decided I couldn't spend much during the holiday time but did pick up a few simple goodies for myself along with a few neat t-shirts I ordered!

FOTD: Chartreuse yellow pop featuring Catrice quad in Yellow Submagreen!

Chartreuse pop with Catrice! Hope the first week of February is going well for everyone out there! I've had quite a relaxed week so far and here's a pop of a more unusual color on the eyes!

I picked up the quad "Yellow Submagreen" from Catrice some time back but haven't done a review on it yet as I haven't really used it properly yet. One a day I was going to wear a deep foresty green dress I realized the shades were perfect and pulled this quad out.

Special: December BBQ party with my classmates!

Korean BBQ Party! Hey hey, you you! I know that you wanna be at my party! No way no way, I think you need some BBQ!

Yes, I just phrased that like Girlfriend from Avril Lavigne! Last year in the last week of December, a small bunch of my class managed to meet up at a classmate's apartment in Orchard for a well deserved Korean BBQ!

The classmate who organized it is from Korea and he ordered some pork belly from his Brother who's doing a grill restaurant here in town. Together with some salad, sauce, drinks and snacks chipped in we had a really filling, yummy night!

Rave review: Sleek i-divine Vintage Romance palette!

It's love with my Vintage Romance palette! Helloooo February everyone! I just realized a short while ago that I've been putting the date as '2013' on most of my end of term exam papers...oh no! I'm sure this will be brought up when we got back to school but for now I'm just laughing at myself for doing that! I've had the beautiful palette for several months now and having used it a few times I'm ready for a review!

This palette was limited Edition last year and is now back in stock on Sleek's website which is where I order all my Sleek make up from. It's an incredibly easy site to use and you get your products so quickly! I've been tempted to order the newest LE palette "Garden of Eden" but thought that I won't really be using all those colors very much.

Special: Chinese Lunar New Year 2014! (Reunion dinner and family visits)

Welcome the Lunar New Year! It's the year of the horse, my brother's year and so he's going to be 24 later this year. I've been yet again blessed to have this week to school, which meant that I get Chinese New Year day off from school as it's a public holiday and got to spend the time doing the traditional family visiting and feasting.

My family as usual spent the eve of the lunar new year at home and my mother and grandmother cooked a simple three dish meal. The next day which was the first day of the lunar new year my family visited my father's sister's home where most of his family members would visit.
