Rave Review: Clio Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liners in shade 7 and 13!

Gel my liner all the way! Ever since I've purchased two of these Gelpresso gel eyeliners last year, they are so good that I ended up buying two more a few months ago! This is the first eyeliner ever that I've worn in the lower waterline that looks amazing while it lasts and also when it starts to fade. There's absolutely no smudging when it does begin to come off!

Clio has brought in more products into their range in the middle of last year and there were 3 or 4 new shades added to their gel eyeliner collection sold here! The new shades make up the eye look on the new packaging!

Continue below for the rave review!

Packaging!

Super sleek, color coordinated and typical. I really like that the labelling on the liner matches the color of the shade itself. These gel eyeliners also come with a removable mini sharperner on the bottom end which I've used once but really don't ever because I find that a huge waste of product and don't really need them to be so sharp. You only get less than usually 2 grams in a product like this so why sharpen another gram off just because you need a point? Only maybe if you want to use it for a flick.

Mini sharpener on the bottom end which I never use!
Absolutely adore how the color of text matches the shade!
The initial sharpness of the tips, they are a bit soft so never have more than a few mm over the top!

Product!

This gel eyeliner is exactly as it says and does and even more. I have very watery eyes, often tearing excessively when I'm tired or bored, I will have to wipe at my lower lash line all the time to remove my tears. Hence in 95% of all my make up looks, I never wear eyeliner or eyeshadow in my lower waterline or lashline area.

After meeting this product almost a year ago when Clio came to Singapore I knew gel liners lasted the longest for me and thought why not try a hybrid! This product is of rave quality, they are smooth, creamy, pigmented and last for such a long time.

The reason why I find this rave worthy is because when it starts to fade like all eyeliners do in the waterline, this does not leave any kind of smudging or mess! This just wears off and the small amount of flecks that built up or drop off don't stick on your eye area or smudge under your eyes. It just goes away and you reapply when needed.

My main issue with eyeliners is not that they don't last forever, it's that when they start to fade they smudge and mess, that's the worse thing to happen and that never happens with these! Even the dark navy shade (my review here) and this black with gold, no such smudging!

I had to get the black because as up till I bought this, I had no eyeliner except an old Urban Decay Zero which my girlfriend passed down to me which could last decently in my waterline. Even so, this works, wears and last even better than zero.

The pink shade...well for obvious reasons! It's so beautiful! I'd throw it in my waterline any day!

As you can see these are all shades that I will and have worn many times. A brown and a black are so wearable and I'm a huge fan of deep blues for eyeliner or on a lighter day just a pink shimmery pop!

Paid: $18.90 SGD or about $15.40 USD

Recommend: ABSOLUTELY! For all of those who either have watery eyes or cannot seem to find an eyeliner that stays put or looks good after many hours do try an eyeliner from this range! When it does fade, you've got no smudgy mess!

Repurchase: Yup! When I do find a need for more shades I'd definitely pick them up. After the first few months selling the green, blue and brown shades all sold out everywhere. I really want to pick up the green and purple next!

Bottom line: Super pigmented, smooth, waterproof, great shades to choose from, this eyeliner has been amazing for me. As someone who suffers from a watery lash line, this is the only eyeliner I can rely on if I want one in my waterline. Although it fades on me like all other eyeliners, there is not smudging or mess! Rave worthy!

What eyeliner is your holy grail for the waterline?
What shade do you like most here?
Let me know!

  1. I think the dark choco eyeliner is calling my name! Smudging is a big no-no in my books, but I've yet to find a pencil eyeliner I can trust to not smudge or smear during the day. Think I'll try one of these. :)

  3. They look so smooth and creamy. I've heard so many wonderful things about Clio's eye makeup in general that I'm eventually gonna have to try them, too. The eyeliners I've used in the past gave me major raccoon eyes, so it's great to hear that these don't smudge or smear over time. I think the navy blue one looks really pretty. :)

  8. Lasts better than UD??? This is definitely something I want to try in the future! I also have watery eyes, which is why I don't wear liner in the lower waterline....plus, I think it's weird to put liner so close to the eyeball, but whateves.

  9. I started off with one and ended up with the whole set a week later. Seriously the best eyeliners I have ever used and I think I've tried them all. They're the reason why I've started switching to Korean cosmetics because they stay true to their word. Waterproof=waterproof! My fave colours would have to be star purple, jade green, golden khaki, beige shine and bloody devil (maroon). Very flattering on Asian skintone and eye colour. Love Love Love!!
