Skin care review: Ducray Keracnyl foaming gel!

Soap free gel cleanser! Its been something I've been going through the last few months. I find soap free, gel type cleansers to be very gentle and great for oilier skin. I decided after using Hada labo AHA/BHA cleanser for several months that I wanted to try something else.

I purchased this at Guardian Pharmacy here in Singapore!

Continue below for the short review!

Described as gentle and purifying, it is what it says. Great for oilier skin, the soap free formula feels very gentle and gets the skin feeling very clean without being tight.

This product is quite simple to describe. It has a gel like texture that's very light and ironically has that typical 'non scented' product scent which I really sort of like. After washing your face with this, my skin feels softer but not tighter at all. I believe having now used up more than 60% of the tube that it has contributed to the maintenance of the very good condition of my skin currently.

This wash would be best for those looking for chemical exfoliating properties but don't need oil control or anti-pimple properties that much as it lacks BHAs. However at the end of the day I'd recommend spot application of acne reducing products and not all over your face too frequently when you only have trouble areas.

I'd say this works pretty well for someone with mostly always clear skin with the one or two pimples every now and again, otherwise for those looking for an overhaul in face washes, try the Aqualabel foam cleanser (reviewed here) or the hada labo AHA/BHA cleanser (reviewed here!)

Paid: $16.90 ($13.80 USD)

Recommend: For those with slightly oilier skin, slight acne, sensitive/normal or dry skin this should be great as a light exfoliator without drying the skin out.

Repurchase: I'm definitely considering it, as I don't want to continue using anything very strong as my skin doesn't need it. I may look around for other AHA washes to try as well but I may stick to this since its been working quite well.

Bottom line: It's gentle and helps maintain an already good complexion. For those who want something light, this would be great but for a majority with oilier skin, you may need to combine this with stronger products to get good results.

Are you a user of gel face washes?
Do you enjoy that 'scentless' smell?
 Chemical exfoliants or manual?
 let me know!

Feel free to comment! Thanks!

  2. Sounds like a good product. It reminds me of one of Lancome's gel cleansers... same blue color too :) I don't mind unscented cleansers but I like the ones with scents :p
