Review: Beauty Buffet The Bakery Lollipop Blusher in 01!

Lollipop blusher! Are the rest of you like me and get all happy inside when you see make up that looks like candy/food? I'm a huge admirer of make up and skincare that is packaged, scented, colored or themed like food of some sort but I personally don't own many items like so. This blush I picked up while on holiday with my boyfriend in Bandung, Indonesia (see the make up haul here!)

'The Bakery" is a line under Beauty Buffet which is a brand from Thailand which sells a huge range of skincare and make up with products made mostly all in Thailand and Korea. (See my Bangkok make up haul here and skincare haul here!)

Packaging & Product!

This blush is packaged very simply. It's comes in a slightly more unconventional packaging of a screw cap tub and through the clear cover you can see the pattern of the blush which resembles a lollipop candy! Right off the bat and as I've been using this for months now, the packaging is very practical and not excessive so as long as it's a color you'd reach for a lot the screw cap shouldn't be an issue.

Much like it's name this blush is such a stunning color! To my surprise I'm totally happy to say that I have no blush of this color and of this finish in my large blush collection. I choose this for the beautifully deep rosy color with the slight touch of purple undertone. The finish of this blush has a very fine sheen which when swatched heavily it looks almost metallic but when applied lightly and built up this has a natural glow from within look.

The powder itself is very soft and there's little fall out. It doesn't matter which brush I use, one with coarser bristles or softer finer ones, this blush applies wonderfully! I've fallen in love these few months with cooler pink blushes with a slightly translucent quality as they just are so pretty!

Recommend: YES! If you ever visit a Beauty Buffet outlet in Thailand or another country in south east asia do check out the, 'The Bakery' make up line! Their color choices, quality and products are soooo beautiful!

Repurchase: YES. If I got a chance to stand in front of the full range of colors right now I'd buy another color right away!

Bottom line: This beautiful rosy slightly purple toned blush has become a favorite to-go blush for everyday wear! Worn lightly it looks like there's a glow from within but worn more heavily it's the most natural light pink cool tone blush I have! Totally recommend this for anyone!

  4. Super gorgeous! I was scared that it would look intense on the cheeks, but it's the perfect amount of brightness. I also love that you wore it on your eyes.

  5. Hi Sharlynn,

I like pink but prefer the pastel kind. Having said that, I think this shade of pink looks really great on you. It looks very sexy with black :D

  6. The blush looks absolutely adorable!! and the colour is not something that I see all too often in most makeup brands. It looks really good on you and I don't know when I'll ever visit Thailand again or another south east asian country but when I do, I will definitely keep this in mind. <3

  10. YES, I'm all about beauty products named and designed after food! LOL. This is a lovely color! It's a bit frosty for me (hard for me to pull off), but the purplish tint makes it super interesting!

  11. Oh my, that packaging is so darn adorable!! And that colour is drool worthy! I don't own many blushes for some reason, they all seem to turn out the same on me strangely enough.

  12. I was 'meh' when I saw the colour swatched but ERMAGHERD, IT LOOKS SO GOOD ON YOU, ESPECIALLY PAIRED WITH YOUR PINK EYESHADOW LOOK. Oddly, I didn't expect it to be a powder blush. The cute design makes me think that it's a cream/souffle kinda textured blush! Anyways, I'm off to Google the rest of the shades!
