Review: 1028 Visual Therapy UV White CC Essence SPF 50 shade 01 Light Beige!

UV White CC Cream! Unlike 80% of everyone else in the asian beauty world who probably have either tried or owned one or a few CC creams by this point this is the second I've ever tried! The first I've ever tried was a color adjusting one from Mikatvonk (see my review here), it's was good overall but not something I reach for often. It's best for those of fair-light skintone and prefer light coverage! Therefore I went searching for another CC cream to try!

The Taiwanese brand 1028 Visual Therapy has been in Singapore for more than a year now and they sell awesome quality products at our average drugstore prices! I've bought and tried two 6 pan palettes from them, the Macaron (review here) and the Brownie Eyes (review here) eyeshadow palettes and they both are AMAZING!

Packaging & Product!

The exterior box and tube the CC cream is in are both simple and sleek. I'm a fan of the metallic finish on the box and the shine on the tube. I'm a huge fan of tube packaging when it comes to bases, it's light, sturdy and makes it easy to travel with! There's no complains at all about the packaging and I love that the nozzle is really quite small so the product comes out very controlled!

On first impressions I was very happy with the color of the lighter shade! I had initially some how bought the wrong color and hence have since passed it to my mother. Light Beige is a perfect light yellow neutral which would be perfect for those with a NC 20 complexion or a neutral or fair yellow complexion! In terms of texture and finish, this CC cream comes out like a light cream that's not greasy at all and after being blended out and let to dry it has a lovely dry to the touch finish. It's not matte looking but feels dry!

In terms of how this feels, my skin feels hydrated but not moist or dewy like many BB creams. I'm confident with wearing this out with a setting of loose powder but for those hot humid days (which is almost everyday in singapore!) I will use a pressed powder to set this. It's coverage on it's own is a solid light-medium coverage that looks natural allowing my moles and some freckles through while brightening and concealing my skin flaws.

Here is a photo of the before and after of my face without and with this CC cream! As you can see, this shade just looks perfect on my skintone, matching me just right! I love how it conceals an brightens my under eye and corrects the pigmentation around my nose and mouth!

Worn set with a powder, this really can last at least 6-7 hours before there's visible loss of product around the nose/mouth (where I sweat/touch the most). This CC cream would be best for those with normal to slightly oilier skins due to it's formula and finish. I think this would also be great in cooler/winter weather!

Before and after, wearing 1028 UV White CC Essence SPF 50 shade 01 Light Beige!
My bare skin! I have slight darkness under my eyes and have lots of freckles/pigmentation on my cheeks and upper lip area!
Wearing 1028 UV White CC Essence SPF 50 shade 01 Light Beige! It's a great light yellow shade that brigthens up and covers my pigmentation and under eye darkness very well!

Light beige is a  light yellow tone neutral shade that's great for NC 20 ish skintone whereas Natural beige is good for NC 25-30. Although shade 2 looks somewhat orange in the unblended swatch, it's really a more golden beige that actually would be fine for most with a light skin tone. There is currently only two shades in this line if I'm not wrong so it's like most asian CC creams where the range of color is very limited.

Paid: $22.90 SGD or about $16.80 USD

(sold at Watsons/Sasa outlets, there's usually 20% sales that you should wait for!)

Recommend: YES. For those with access to this brand I totally recommend picking this, an eyeshadow or any other base product up! Their bases are best for those of fair-lightly tan skin.

Repurchase: No, not this exact piece. I've got too many products right now! I would totally try another base product from them and have already bought a powder!

Bottom line: This is an excellent CC cream product! I love how the texture and formula makes this perfect for those with combination skin and suitable for warmer more humid weather like Singapore! If you can match either of the two shades and a solid light-medium coverage is enough for you do check this out!

Have you bought any CC creams before?
Tried anything from this brand?

  2. Hi Sharlynn,

I could really see a significant difference in the before and after photos. Thank you for the detailed review. It must have taken some effort. I can't use CC cream. I tried an Etude House one that my gal pal passed to me as it broke out on her. It made my face very oily and uncomfortable and I cannot imagine having a layer of that in Singapore's humid weather. It also did not add any glow or coverage to my skin but a layer of oily film. It could be just EH brand but it made me shrink back from CC cream. I'm glad that this brand of CC Cream works well on you!
