Holiday Special: Make up haul from Bangkok, Thailand! (Jan 2015)

Make up haul from Bangkok, Thailand! For those of you who have read and followed my recent Bangkok holiday posts I definitely did a ton of make up and skincare shopping while I was there. There are plenty of amazing local brands that are of great quality and in general are sooooo much more affordable than singapore!

For example pressed powder goes for average of $4-10 SGD in Thailand whereas drugstore brands in Singapore cost $15-30 on average. I did most of my make up shopping at Beauty Buffet, Karmart, 7-11 and the local supermarkets!

If you missed my recent holiday posts check out Day 1 (see here) and Day 2 (see here) of my trip in Bangkok! I will have separate posts for my duty free and skincare purchases!

Continue below for the cosmetics haul!

Assorted brands of Thai brand pressed powders purchased from 7-11 and the cosmetic section at the supermarket!
Mini sized Thai brand pressed powders! So awesome! I love being able to buy these miniatures!
All local brands of pressed powders usually come in 2 shades starting with (C, S or W) but all of them are usually yellow/neutral tones! I can easily get away with both shades but some powders tend to be a bit more beige/tan tone and I avoid that so I always swatch the testers!
Cathy Doll CC Speed White Powder Pact! This is a mini size and I bought it at 7-11!

My receipt at Karmart! It's where I purchased all my Cathy Doll make up and skincare! (Not everything show in this post) The most expensive single items were Missha pressed powders for my mom and grandma at 570 Baht a piece.  We spent 2,925 Thai baht which is about $120 singapore dollars for a total of 25 items. I could only buy 5-7 make up/skincare items in our drugstore.
Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Clear Stick BB Stick foundation SPF 21 PA++ (Purchased at cosmetic section of the supermarket)
Maybelline color sensational lipgloss in FP 11! (Purchased at cosmetic section of the supermarket)
Holiday Special: Make up haul from Bangkok, Thailand! (Here is everything including Duty Free and items for a future giveaway)
So here it is! All the make up that I purchased for myself! There will be a seperate post for my duty free purchases and any extra items you see that I haven't mentioned are going to be part of a future giveaway! I really love the affordable and awesome cosmetic and skincare shopping you can do in Bangkok. Especially if you're willing and happy to buy from local brands.

For example, many of the products by Beauty Buffet and from Karmart brands are made in Korea. Hence I have no concerns about product quality, even so I trust Thailand and have never had an issue with their cheapy powders and skincare I've tried!

For me any make up product that's less than $15 Singapore dollars is cheap as the majority of our drugstore products cost more (eyeliners/foundation/powder) However similar products aren't much cheaper in Thailand so I always just go mostly for brands I can't get!

Would you like to visit Karmart or Beauty Buffet?
Are you a sucker for cute cheap things?
Let me know!

Feel free to comment!
Thank you!

  2. WOW Sharlynn, you hauled a lot! :D
the price difference is so steep :O But I can't understand why brands like Maybelline or Revlon which are actually cheap in some countries like US , or Indonesia or Thailand, are so expensive in some countries like Singapore or Germany for example. The prices for Maybelline or L'oreal products in Germany are ridiculous :/
Those Cathy Doll powders OMG Sharlynn!! so cute!!!

  8. What a huge haul, Sharlynn! I never would have thought that make up buying is a norm in Thailand. Singaporeans usually just haul clothes and accessories from BKK. And I'm sure you could tell that I know not much abut make up from our communication thus far. The make up packaging looks really cute! The lip perfume tickles me as I thought of fragrance for the lips. I'm off to read about Day 2 of your trip now.
