Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich Whitening Cream SPF 50 pa++!

Biore's UV protection time! As we all know sun protection is essential in a skincare routine. We all need to somehow get sunscreen in some part of our skincare or make up routine in order to protect our skin from deep and future sun damage. I've never like sunscreen. It's never made sense to me to purely wear sunscreen on my bare face and go out.

For two reasons as my skin is super sensitive and all kinds of sunscreens sting and I used to have oilier skin which combined with the hot and humid weather in south east asia is crazy! In recent years I've discovered using sunscreen below my bases and powders and more importantly getting it in my make up too. I've already tried, used up and loved Biore's mousse version of this sunscreen, do check out my review here!

Packaging & Product!

Plain and simple are the two words that best describe the packaging of the products from Biore's skincare lines. They are straightforward, practical, great for traveling with and aren't fussy. The part of the packaging which is typically overdone, fancier and covered with text is the exterior packaging which you remove!

I've tried the watery mousse version of this UV product and it was lovely. It had a thick moussey air whipped texture but it blended out into a slightly watery feel on the skin with the product fully absorbing into the skin easily. This rich whitening cream version has more of the texture of a traditional sunscreen but just a tad less thick. It's totally non-greasy and non-sticky and feels totally lightweight.

This has a slightly sweetened sunscreen scent which is more powerful than the watery mousse version and it leaves the skin shiny looking after application unlike the mousse too. However I don't find this finish troublesome as I use this under my make up and don't use it on days I don't wear make up. This also hasn't effected my skin in any way and should be suitable for all skin types but better for dry-normal types.

Paid: $18.90 SGD or about $14.30 USD

Recommend: Yes, especially for those who prefer some moisturizing! This is a great super light weight base and if you don't wear make up or want to use this as a base it's a great everyday product!

Repurchase: Yes! I've already purchased another formula of Biore's UV product! I've already tried this in the watery mousse version which I loved!

Bottom line: Lightweight, non sticky and suitable for all skin types this UV product is really worth a try! For those with oilier skin try the watery mousse or  the watery essence!

  3. I really love Biore's UV Perfect face milk. This one sounds amazing too! I've actually asked my mum to get me the Biore UV aqua rich sunscreen while she's in Hong Kong, so I'm looking forward to try that one!

  4. I've heard that japanese sunscreens are the best and i've had my eyes on the biore ones for a while. i just haven't finished any of the ones i have right now so i can't quite justify buying it (and 'cause itt the start of winter in canada so i'm not really into layering sunscreen on as heavily).

  5. Added to my list! I actually have been slacking off on the sunscreen part since it's winter but I will definitely get back in spring. I like these squeezable tube, looks super convenient in the bag.
