Summer Skincare 2014! (What I'm using right now)

Summertime Skincare Products! I'm not sure if many of my dear followers have noticed but I don't often do overviews or round ups of products, either make up or skincare as it's not really something I'm used to doing. However since it's still 'summer' in most places around the world right now although we get 'summer' weather ALL YEAR ROUND in Singapore, I thought I'd share what I'm using right now!

Keep in mind, it's always between 28-35+ degree C and humidity is always 85% to 95% hence I use pretty much the same type of products all year around. However what I have here is a bit different from my last skincare overview many months back!

Continue below for the skincare overview!
Summer Skincare overview 2014!
Hair care: Herbal Essence Smooth Lovin serum, Dangerously Straight shampoo, Pantene Total Damage Care shampoo! I also love The Body Shop's rainforest balance shampoo for oily hair!

I have thick, dark, long asian hair that is voluminous looking because it's thick and not because it's fluffy and fine. My scalp tends to get greasy so it's keep that I have a clarifying/oil striping shampoo to use now and again.

Face scrubs/cleansers: The Face Shop Mild Papaya Peeling wash, Queen Helene Oatmeal n Honey scrub, Natural Tea Tree foam, Shiseido Ibuki purifying cleanser!
The papaya scrub is a gel texture that causes your top layer of dead skin cells to rub off! It's quite an interesting product but I still do love a manual scrub like this Queen Helene one! This Tea tree cleanser is great for oilier feeling days and the Shiseido is just great overall to use any day especially for make up removal as well as keeping skin supple!

Toners: Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance toner and Nivea Mattifying Toner!
These two are great mild toners for using throughout the day at home or in the morning as I like to use toners when I wake up to clean any residue of skincare off my skin!

Make up removers: The Face Shop Mango Seed cleansing butter, Shu Uemura skin purifier cleansing oil, Biore eye & lip
I've only started to use this cleansing butter and it seems to be okay when combined with a konjac sponge but I still go in with a facial cleanser and everything definitely comes off and my skin feels great. The Shu cleansing oil is amazing, the best ever, your make up melts off and the closest dupe oil is this Biore! It doesn't boast the same skin enriching qualities but it MELTS make up off!

Scrubs: Beauty Buffet Scentio Pomegranate body gel scrub, The Body Shop Peppermint pumice foot scrub, Olive body scrub, Beauty Buffet Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub
The gel pomegranate body scrub is like a thick jelly with bits of scrub throughout, it smells brilliant! The peppermint foot scrub is full of ground up pumice stone which together with a pumice stone makes heels and feet smooth as a baby's bum!

The olive body scrub is very calming and has a rough scrub dispersed in a creamy olive base. The apricot scrub is a very rough and yet smooth slightly oil feeling scrub that washes off and leaves skin soft and supple!

Addition face products: Biore UV Aqua watery cream Whitening, Shiseido Aqua label Bright White serum, Neutrogena Hydro boost water gel, Arnaud Night cream
This biore UV product is currently my sunblock/primer before make up, I just have finished up a tube of the watery mousse version! This whitening serum is meant for the face/eye region and it seems to be helping with my scars from burns/blemishes to fade very quickly.

The water gel is great as an all over cooling mask and the night cream from Arnaud is a lovely rich, sweet smelling and non-greasy formula for overnight replumping!

    1. Oh I'm sorry you don't have so much to spend! Hada Labo price is actually quite cheap here, l'oreal skin is is double the cost of hada labo if you compare! It's worth it, in terms of if you're looking for light textured whitening skincare. It won't help oily skin become less oily if that's what you're looking for though! Have fun while you're here! $50 SGD is easy to spend on just 2 or 3 make up products here at our drugstore!

  3. Nice Post!! We are having summer now in Germany, also too warm for my liking.. I hateeeeee warm weather T-T
I usually go low key in hotter days because I have the feeling that my skin gets enough moisture from the heat. lol.
Btw, I like the tea tree face wash you gave me! I've been using it at the moment ^^
