Skincare: Shu Uemura Moisture Program and Pore-less kits!

Skincare sets from Shu Uemura! These two sets of skincare from Shu Uemura were purchased at Bangkok International Airport when I was on a week long holiday in Bangkok last year with my mother! I have always wanted to try skincare bits from Shu Uemura but have never taken the plunge with any products so when presented with sets of smaller sizes I had to snap them up!

For a look at my holiday in Bangkok, the shopping and food, (Check it out here!) And for the make up and shopping haul (Check it out here!)

Continue below for the reviews!

Duty free travel skincare sets from Shu Uemura depsea hydrability moisture program and  ideal skin essentials kit pore-less!

Packaging!

Both skin care kits are packaged very nicely in a box with all the descriptions, ingredients and individual instructions about each miniature sized product inside each kit. I really loved how each product had all the detailed information as I have never owned any of them individually.

The actual packaging of each product is a mini-sized packaging of the full sized products! They haven't compromised the packaging of these smaller sizes just because they are minis. I love how they literally are just mini versions of the regular size.

I'm a fan of the clean packaging of Shu Uemura. All the products in the Moisture line are blue also just to note which I like and my favorite of all the minis in terms of packaging is the intense moisturizing concentrate which is in a small glass dropper bottle and the POREraser mousse primer which is in a mini aerosol bottle! Just adorable all of them!

Duty Free Shu Uemura depsea hydrability moisture program (Fresh Skin Purifier cleansing oil, moisturizing lotion,  intense moisturizing concentrate and moisturizing emulsion)
This kit is all about moisturizing! I love how they've also included an oil as it's so important to remove all make up completely in order for the skin to maintain a good condition. The fact that it's an oil and rich in good ingredients it contributes to keeping the upper layer of skin hydrated without being oily in a bad way.

Shu Uemura Fresh Skin Purifier Gentle Cleansing Oil
My first taste of this amazing gentle cleansing oil! It's been one of the most raved about oils and people seem to be willing to fork out loads of money to buy this despite the crazy price tag so I was so excited to try this!

I was not disspointed! This oil is light textured and fruity scented, this feels exactly like an oil and not an oil emulsion with other liquids. You need the smallest amount and it melts, literally MELTS super waterproof eyeliner and mascara off so quickly without any rubbing or tugging! Remove your face make up with a cleanser and then there's trace of greasiness at all.

Repurchase full size: YES! I totally would get this full sized because it's amazing!

Shu Uemura depsea hydrabilty moisturizing lotion
This I believe works like a softening lotion, it's a pumped up, dressed up toner sort of liquid that isn't astringent that's meant to 'prepare' the skin for other skincare. I wasn't too excited about this product as it's really all about if you believe it works or not I think as there aren't any visible or really physical effects. I do like the pleasant scent, the texture is literally a water and it absorbs very quickly.

Repurchase full size: No, this isn't that amazing and I think it may be quite unnecessary if your face is already cleansed and cleaned after make up removal. I wouldn't spend the money for the full size.

Shu Uemura Intense Moisturizing Concentrate
This was something that caught my eye! It's suppose to be an intensive concentrate that's meant for moisturizing which I find a bit funny as I've always assumed that such light textured products that aren't creams wouldn't do such a heavy duty job when it comes to making dull dry skin plump and moist again.

The texture of this is a heavy serum like feel, gel like but still liquidy. I love how little you need as it spreads out very thinny and dries very quickly. Worn by itself overnight, this really does plump up the fine lines and made my skin feel plumper and soft.

Repurchase full size: Maybe! I really do like the texture of this and it really works, however it's quite pricey and I'm keen on trying a similar product from Laneige!

Shu Uemura depsea hydrability moisturizing emulsion
This product was something I was curious about! It's seems to be the 'richest' texture of all these moisturizing products and it has a light creamy texture but it's more gel like than a cream. This product has a very light 'fresh' water scent just like the other products included from the moisture line.

I find that you barely need much of this to cover your whole face too and it really has a lovely cooling feeling and it plumps up and hydrates the under eye and around the mouth area. This and the intensive  concentrate do the same thing and they really are great for young dull and tired skin!

Repurchase full size: Unlikely, I think it's just a really light textured moisturizer really and I can get that easily for much cheaper. I do love how this feels but I don't think the effects are long term!

Duty Free Shu Uemura Ideal Skin Essentials Kit: Pore-less
This skincare kit from Shu Uemura seems to have products more for ladies who want a pore free finish on the face for make up! It's sort of like the trio you need for preparing skin for a flawless base and removal with the cleansing oil! I bought this one primarily to try the mousse base and also another mini oil couldn't hurt right!

Shu Uemura Tsuya Skin youthful radiance generator
This is the tiniest sized product out of all the individual products in these two kits. Being a serum for maintaining youth you only get a  tiny 7ml of product in this metal bottle with a dropper. It's been made to have a beautiful purple iridescent color and it's serum texture product.

I've added a drop or two of this to the moisture product when applying at night as a moisturizer. Since there is so little product and I haven't used it alone, I really can't say much about it's effects although I haven't had any adverse problems with it.

Repurchase full size: No, unless I find out more about this product and see very good reviews I don't think I'll be needing this or will be wanting to buy this as I've got so many other skincare bits on my wish list! It's not a bad product it's just I'm not interested to invest further!

Shu Uemura POREraser UV under base mousse
This product was something I was dying to try! Knowing that the full sized sells at $60 SGD a can I knew that I was getting a get steal in this mini version! You need the lightest press on the pump for a lovely fat little dollop to spray out into a ball onto your hand!

It's a beige colored mousse meant to be a UV base and make up primer for wearing under your foundation. I love how it's so airy and applied onto the face it blends so easily onto the skin and you need to be quick. It has a brightening effect that isn't ashy and there's a matte finish that's super soft and it helps foundation go on extra beautifully!

Repurchase full size: Maybe, I really really enjoy this and am not done with this yet! I do enjoy how it's not a silicone product that fills up the pores but this creates another layer on top of the skin that is matte. I don't have large pores or visible pores but this feels great as a base!

Duty free travel skincare sets from Shu Uemura depsea hydrability moisture program and  ideal skin essentials kit pore-less!
Paid: Between $20-30 SGD per kit ($16-24 USD)

(I'm so sorry, I can't remember the exact prices they were in Thai Baht. There's very little information on these kits online)

Recommend: YES! If you are keen to try any of these products, this is an amazing way to try them at a very good price and in reasonably large smaller sizes!

Repurchase: YES! There are different versions of these kits, there's also a kit that features one of the different cleansing oils with one bottle of the UV mousse! I would totally like to try another kit to try other skin care bits from them!

Bottom line: Seriously value for money and you get high end Shu Uemura quality skincare in sizable smaller sizes. I totally recommend everyone to check these kits out at duty free if you can find them! I'm now certain that the gentle cleansing oil and UV mousse would be totally worth the full size!

Have you tried any of these skin care products from Shu?
What would you like to try?
Let me know!

Thank you!
