Skincare: Boots Tea tree+Witch Hazel Anti Blemish Day Moisturizer and Purifying Toner!

Teatree + Witch Hazel goodness! As someone who had quite oily skin when I was younger, it was a god send so to speak when I discovered the local tea tree and witch hazel toner and face scrub in the local pharmacy here but after a good year and a half the line was scrapped!

Since then I've come to know the goodness of tea tree oil for blemishes and the line from The Body Shop which unfortunately although effective is very strong and can dry out and hurt already sensitive and blemished skin. On my holiday to Bangkok last year I discovered Boots line of this ingredient and had to snap up these two products!

Packaging & Product!

Both products are packaged very simply with green, blue and white being the theme for the line so you know which line you're looking at straight away. Being the second cheapest skincare line from Boots I won't be surprised if not many people will take a second look but the properties of tee tree oil and witch hazel always keep me interested.

There's nothing much to say except practical and small. I like how the bottle and tube aren't bulked up and there's instructions and ingredients list on the back of both containers.

Straight to the point both products do exactly as they say! I personally have a thing for tea tree scents, I find it quite therapeutic and these from Boots are lightly scented not so concentrated as oil or as strong as the toner from The Body Shop.

The toner is lovely, astringent enough and it does get rid of the surface oil on my face and it's not too drying or alcoholic that it stings. In terms of the moisturizer, it's like a thickened gel texture with the same light tea tree scent. I like how it works into the skin easily and then leaves your skin with a soft matte finish! I even use it as a primer before make up.

As of now I've finished up the toner and am happily using the moisturizer! This line has been repackaged now as it's landed in Singapore just a few months ago and the shape of the packaging has been vamped up a bit.

Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Anti-Blemish Oil Control Day Moisturizer!
Paid: UP 195 Thai Baht or $7.60 SGD (I got it 50% off at about 97 Baht)

Recommend: Yes! This range is super affordable and if you suffer from combination, or oily skin that isn't too severe these products can help curb the amount of oiliness your skin has. Great for young preteens and teens also who are just getting into skincare who need something for oily skin!

Repurchase: YES! Even though it doesn't stop your skin from being oily permanently this toner really keeps my skin feeling great without being over drying and I would buy it again and again!

Bottom line: These are both great effective products for combination to oily skin. I'd think these would work best for younger skin as the alcohol can dry out the surface of your skin if you use these products too often or too much. Totally great buys and I would pick up other products from them!

Do you use tea tree and witch hazel products?
Tried this line from Boots?
Let me know!

  1. I use tea tree oil in my laundry when I wash my gym clothes. Not that I'm a big stinker or anything, but the tea tree oil totally deodorizes and disinfects your laundry, without leaving behind the tea tree scent. :-)
