My Summer Skincare Products!! 2014

Summer skincare! Yes, it's that time of year but whether or not we have four seasons or just two, like Singapore (hot or wet), the middle of the year for most of us mean hotter, dryer and maybe even oilier! It's the time when some ladies need to change up their skincare and make up routines to suit the weather so that our faces stay intact!

My make up routine doesn't change as I always powder my face all year round regardless of the weather. I love a matte finish. However I will be using a different rotation of skincare for the months when my skin gets oilier!

Note: Please keep in mind that I am not using ALL of the products at the same time, I've just included a few in each category that I would reach for at this time of the year!

Continue below for a look at my skincare!
My Summer Skincare Products! 2014
Scrubs: St. Ives Bright Skin Apricot scrub, Hada Labo Aha+Bha oil control exfoliating wash, The Face Shop Jelly Apple Peeling scrub
St. Ives Bright Skin Apricot scrub: A product that I've been using for years and years, just because the abrasive qualities are hard core and combined with a cleanser this makes a great face make up remover!

Hada Labo Aha+Bha oil control exfoliating wash ( My review here!) : This is a new version of the original Aha+ Bha exfoliating foaming wash meant for oily skin. I feel that it works the same at maintaining the texture of my skin. It's a chemical exfoliant with no scrub bits.

The Face Shop Jelly Apple Peeling scrub: My latest no scrub bit exfoliating wash, I haven't felt this making a big difference or much at all! But I'm hell bent on using it up or on my body!

Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub and Scentio Honey Facial scrub!
Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub (My review here!): A super performing body scrub that is also super value for money and amount! I wish this whole range sold in Singapore! Totally recommend for all over the body for smooth summer skin!

Scentio Honey Facial scrub: A medium grain scrub that's perfect for everyday use, it has a light honey butter scent but isn't very sweet. I'm working through this but already more than half way done it's starting to smell strange so I might use the rest on my arms and legs! I absolutely LOVED the milk version of this and will be repurchasing! (My review for the milk facial scrub here!)

Cleansers: Shiseido Ibuki Purifying cleanser, The Face Shop Rice Water Bright cleansing foam, Avene Eau Thermale Cleanance gel
Shiseido Ibuki Purifying cleanser: My newest face wash and it's been AMAZING! From the Ibuki range for youthful skin of ladies in their 20s this wash has the most lovely feel and smell and leaves your skin so clean and balanced!

For a cheaper alternative try the Shiseido aqua label white cleanser! (Check out my review here!)

The Face Shop Rice Water Bright cleansing foam (Check out my review here!) : A foaming cleanser with bits of scrub, it's refreshing and leaves the skin soft and supple and I love mixing this with a face scrub!

Avene Eau Thermale Cleanance gel (Check out my review here!) : The perfect fuss free soap free product, great for sensitive or oily skin, this really feels amazing and is so clean on the skin. It doesn't leave your skin dry or tight!

Toners/softeners: Avene Eau Thermale Cleanance toner, Botanics Mattifying Toner, Shiseido Aqua Label Royal jelly softener, Boots Tea tree witch hazel toner
Avene Eau Thermale Cleanance toner (My review here!): Another scent free, fuss free product from the line, it's a super gentle and cooling toner and it helps mattify the skin after being used!

Botanics Mattifying Toner (My review here!) : A super effective oil stripping toner that's not too strong. I personally like the scent of  the willow bark and I can use lots of this without it drying out my skin!

Shiseido Aqua Label Royal jelly softener: Another gentle skin cleansing water that's comparable to cleansing waters but this isn't meant to remove make up, it's like a toner but better for dry/sensitive skin as it's not oil stripping. It's great for using first thing in the morning!

Boots Tea tree witch hazel toner: A great affordable toner with tea tree that isn't over powering or too strong like The Body Shop's version. I much prefer this one as it has a lovely light tea tree smell and the skin is refreshed and oil free after using this!

Skin treatments: Benzac AC 5% water based benzoyl peroxide gel, Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Milk, Olay White Radiance brightening essence serum, Shiseido Aqua label bright white serum, Biore UV Aqua watery mousse
Benzac AC 5% water based benzoyl peroxide gel: One of my secret skin care product to keeping pimple and bump free! Many brands sell benzoyl peroxide but this is water based and doesn't over dry the skin area like tea tree products tend to. So no peeling post use and this dries up blemishes over night!

Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Milk: One of those light silky thin textured moisturizing milk products in place of traditional face moisturizers due to my skin type. I love the light texture and how fast it dries. I use this every night and combine it sometimes with other essences or serums.

Olay White Radiance brightening essence serum (My review here!): A brightening serum, it's slightly sticky and feels very nice. It absorbs easily and has been a part of my night time routine. No big improvements to my complexion though!

Shiseido Aqua label bright white serum: A brightening whitening essence serum, I've just recently added this to my routine and I've been applying to scarring and blemishes and my skin has been lightening up nicely! I can't wait to see the results long term!

Biore UV Aqua watery mousse (My review here!): A mousses texture that melts into the skin leaving a slight white cast, this is the perfect sun screen for those who don't like traditional sunscreens! I use this often as a make up base!
Face masks: The Face Shop Pore Minimizer controlling Clay Mask, Kose Seikisho Mask White
The Face Shop Pore Minimizer controlling Clay Mask (My review here!): A lovely liquid clay mask that needs to be applied and then washed off. There's a lovely light scent and this really seems to help tighten up the pores after one application. I will be using this more during the super hot months!

Kose Seikisho Mask White (My review here!): A mask that I just had to get after reading about it on another blog, this thick back gel dries to a dry plastic feeling mask that needs to be peeled off gently. Try to apply in a thin layer and not too thick otherwise it won't dry, but when dry and peeled off, the skin feels tight, fresh and so clean.

Hair/shower care: Pantene Total Damage Care Shampoo, Organix anti breakage Keratin Oil conditioner, Bodhi Citrus Mixture Shower Gel
Pantene Total Damage Care Shampoo: One of my favorite shampoos of all time! I love the smell, I love how foaming it gets and I love how silky it makes my thick course hair!

Organix anti breakage Keratin Oil conditioner: This is a must have for those with thick, coarse or just frizzy unruly hair! Apply just to tips for dried ends or to all the hair for a complete softening treatment! I also love the macadamia oil version of this!

Bodhi Citrus Mixture Shower Gel (Check out the haul here!) : My first Bodhi product, I ordered from Luxola.com and have been freaking loving this! If you love authentic deep citrus musk then this will be perfection for you!

Additional bits: Vaseline original, Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya body spray, Herbal Essence Smooth Lovin' serum, Nivea Extra whitening liquid deodorant
Vaseline original: This tub I've been using up the last three years, I have to coat my lips with a thick coat of this every night so that my lips get plumped up and don't dry up as quickly as I've got sensitive always slightly dry lips! I hope to buy a nicer lip treatment when this is done!

Boots Natural Collection Mango & Papaya body spray: A refreshing fruity tea scented spray! You can't apply too much and it's sweet and light and super fresh for all day!

Herbal Essence Smooth Lovin' serum: My favorite and first hair serum: I love how it's like a sweet rainforest burst and the serum absorbs and makes the hair so silky and light! Perfect for the bottom half of your hair!

Nivea Extra whitening liquid deodorant: My holy grail liquid deodrant, I don't use any other type. This keeps your pits dry all day and has the sweetest floral scent that I love!

Make up removers: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating make-up remover, L'oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil, Biore Cleansing oil, L'oreal gentle lip & eye make up remover
Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating make-up remover (My review here!): This is super effective at removing regular make up but you will need A LOT to remove waterproof mascara so I use this to remove make up traces after a shower!

L'oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil (My review here!): A very lovely oil remover, it doesn't leave your skin feeling very greasy, it does a good job with regular eyeliners and make up like cream shadows but will not remove my waterproof mascara no matter how much I use.

Biore Cleansing oil (My review here!) : A lovely light cleansing oil with a gel like formula, it's the least oily feeling oil I've used. Yet again great for normal make up, liquid eye liner and long wearing face products but I need to use A LOT to remove my waterproof mascara and this stings when it gets into your eyes!

L'oreal gentle lip & eye make up remover: This is my holy grail eye make up remover. It's a Bi-facil remover that has an oil component that needs to be shaked up before using. I've repurchased this over 15 times at least and it removes my holy grail waterproof mascara super easily! I wash my face after using this with cleanser and no oily feeling!
