Skincare review: Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub from Beauty Buffet!

Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub! Body scrubs! It's the type of product I don't use very often and therefore I find as a treat when I do whip out my tubs of body scrub! While on holiday in Bangkok last year I picked this up at the famous Beauty Buffet skincare/make up shop!

I had so much trouble making up my mind which scrub to buy because they had 6 different version of this body scrub and I wanted them all! (Check out my holiday beauty haul here!)

NOTE: This can be purchased in Singapore from Smoochiezz beauty booths or online store for $15.90 SGD! It's double the original price but still soooo worth it!

Continue below for the review!
Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub from Beauty Buffet
Scentio Apricot Sherbet Body Scrub from Beauty Buffet (You get 350ml! The Body Shop gives you 200ml! )
Considering how apricot/peach fruit and the seed is so often used for scrubs I knew that if I couldn't make up my mind I'd just get this!
Made in Thailand! Beauty Buffet is an incredible Thai beauty chain selling excellent quality makeup and skin care often formulated and made in Germany, Korean and Thailand!

Packaging & Product!

In a thick plastic tub with a screw on cap, it's not the most hygienic type of product but for such a product I feel that this is most appropriate. Also I feel secure that this will not break or leak and if it were in a squeeze tube it'd be easier for the product to leak! I also really enjoy how the label has the apricot fruit on it, it's matchy, it's fun and you know straight away which one it is!

A very straightforward and efficient scrub, it's exactly what it is, which is a really really good body scrub! The texture of this scrub is like a gel infused with fine grains of apricot seed which seems to be what the scrub is made of. When you rub the product in your hands, it's about 80% scrub and 20% the binding gel which is a very big percentage as many body scrubs like the ones from The Body Shop and other brands are usually like a thick cream or soap with scrub bits.

The smell of this scrub is definitely very peach like which matches the Apricot label and I'm a fan of it! I've noticed that to use this scrub, your body must be wet and it's best if you mix it with a bit of water before rubbing gently on your body as so much of the scrub is the rough grain. After using this, my skin is soft, smoother and feels a bit silky. Nothing greasy and neither does it feel drying!

You're definitely getting your money's worth with the product being as cheap as it is regular price for only 350ml! And to think that they are making money! People might like supporting The Body Shop for their fair trade or natural types of products but I'd much rather go for the brand like this that is made in Thailand, does the job and is so much cheaper!

Paid: 205 Thai Baht or about $7.90 SGD or $6.30 USD

(200ml from The Body Shop body scrub cost $30.90 SGD, compared to 350ml for $7.90 SGD)

Recommend: Yes! If you're even in Thailand or get the chance to pick a body scrub up from this Beauty Buffet line go for it. It's the same if not better quality than The Body Shop and cost a fraction of the price AND you get so much more product!

Repurchase: Yes! If I had a Beauty Buffet near me, or was in Thailand or find anyone selling this locally or any other products from Beauty Buffet I'd be buying a whole bunch of things!

Bottom line: An amazing, straightforward super efficient scrub for the body and even great for the heels, it smells lovely and does the job perfectly! It's super affordable and you get so much! Becuase of brands like this I've stopped shopping at The Body Shop!
