Skin care Review: Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15!

Daily moisturizing! Whether you do it day and night or just in the morning or the night, moisturizing is such an important step to healthy skin! As someone with oilier skin I never though I'd enjoy moisturizers but now they are a skin saver!

I was looking for this for the longest time and when I found this at the pharmacy at the airport months back I was very happy, however it didn't turn out exactly as I expected!

Continue below for the review!

With a broad protecting spectrum of UVA/UVB that was a plus sign when I picked this up. I knew this was meant to be sunscreen type moisturizer and was hoping it'd help with my light freckles!

They really have a reason to tell us NOT to apply near the eyes. Some got into my eyes and it stung so badly!
Packaging & Product!

Very much in the aesthetic of the rest of the Cetaphil brand which is medical/skincare products I have no problems with the packaging. The cap twist lock and pumps down when twisted to the unlock side for product, enough product is dispensed in one pump for the whole face.

In terms of the product I have had a mediocre experience with this moisturizer. It is marketed as daily facial moisturizer but it is very much like a regular thick white moisturizer. This product looks, feels and smells just like sunscreen which isn't so bad, except that it really does sting when it gets near the eyes or around the mouth area for me as I have sensitive skin there.

I find it too much a hassle to use this on a daily basis and if ever I only use this down my neck. This formula blends into the skin easily but does not dry to a matte or touch dry finish easily, hence trouble layering other products on top.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15
Cetaphil daily moisturizer: Has a thick white sunscreen like texture!

Paid: $17.90 SGD or about $14 USD

Recommend: For those who don't mind the white thick sunscreen texture and a dewy finish, this should be strong enough to help prevent more pigmentation or fine lines!

Repurchase: Nope, too thick and dewy. I also don't like the stinging I experienced around my eyes and around my mouth!

Bottom line: Meant for those who prefer a thicker sunscreen like moisturizer and who aren't too skin sensitive. I personally will avoid these formulas as its not working for my skin!
Have you used thick moisturizer like this before?
Would you try this?
let me know!

Feel free to comment! Thanks!

    1. It doesn't feel bad but too thick and stays sticky for longer than I'd like! Not for us who prefer a non sticky finish!

  3. Great review hun! I am currently using the Cetaphil SPF 30+ daily moisturiser and I am really liking it at the moment because it's winter here and I like the dewy finish =) I probably would agree that it might not be the best for the warmer seasons as it can feel slightly sticky. I have normal to dry skin so thankfully this moisturiser acts as a good makeup base and keeps my face moisturised.

    1. Definitely glad that it's working for you! I use it on my neck and down my shoulders where I don't experience or mind the finish.

    1. It blends out very well but the fact that it stays tacky is a no no for me!
