Review: Solone Eyeshadow Palette in 7252-1!

Shimmery neutrals high! I've had quite a great beginning to May! I can't believe it's almost half way through the year, I'm so saddened by how fast time past, it's crazy!

This palette was picked up earlier this year, it had such a pretty mix of brown, pinks and purples that I couldn't resist. The line is called 'Solone', it's a Taiwanese line of make up that has lots of wearable and fun colors in their eyeshadows and eyeliners!

I also gifted this palette to Pam from 'Jade in the Palace' beauty blog when we met up  in March!Do check out our meet up here! I hope when you get around to this that you'll enjoy the shades!

Continue below for the review!

Packaging & Product!

This palette comes in a sturdy black plastic case which snaps shut with a catch like many other small palettes. I do like the glossy finish to the plastic and how it has a slight weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy like the hinge could come apart. Most of this line comes in packaging like this, typical cute drugstore asian make up style is what I'd call it.

I was very drawn to this palette because of the colors, I love how there are different browns and then pinks, a purple and navy! It's just such a pretty easy to wear set of colors I knew I had to pick it up and use it after swatching the shades in store.

All 10 eyeshadows! A shimmer white, two pinks, a purple and navy, a pearly yellow, a copper, a walnut, a teak and a gray brown!
Solone Eyeshadow Palette in 7252-1 swatches!
The most pigmented shades are in the bottom row as well as the purple and blue. The pinks and highlights are a bit flaky.

The first shade is a very white shimmery pearl shade, too white to be a natural looking highlight but I think this would look great on the inner part of my lid or on top of a dark shade. The light pink is a pale ballet pink that's sheer, the darker pink does make a good lid shade but its still very natural.

The aubergine purple and navy are of a medium pigmentation. They make good liners or an accent in the outer corner. The bottom row begins with a yellow highlighter pearl shade although its a bit flaky and has gritty bits. The last four shades are consistency smooth, pigmented and beautiful. All different and all so saturated.

Here I'm wearing the second last teak taupe shade with the navy as part of my eyeliner!
I did this look for around Chinese New Year when I went to visit my boyfriend! (Check it out here!)

Paid: $20 SGD (about $16.30 USD)

Recommend:  For those who can take a look at this, I got this at my local Sasa outlet. I'm not sure if this is on their website but the quality overall is worth the buy for the browns, purple and navy!

Repurchase: Nope, I have enough from their eyeshadows, they have other similar palettes with other shades but none that appeal to me.

Bottom line: A really lovely and easy to use range of colors, the browns are amazing in this 10 pan palette. I would also really dig into the purple, navy and pinks, the highlights are a bit of a slight fail but otherwise this is something good for quick simple pretty eye looks!

Are you a fan of small neutral palettes?

  5. These eyeshadows look so pigmented! I haven't heard of this brand before, I don't think we have it here in Australia. I'm in love with the shades in the bottom row as I love browns and neutrals. The colour selection makes it such a versatile palette to use for everyday :)

  6. OO I really like some of these neutral colors, though they never show on my lids because my eyes are natural so dark (damn dark circles)!
