Review: Bourjois little round pot blush in shade 03 Brun Cuivre~!

Blush fever! The perfect way to sculpt your face and add a fresh, pinched brightness is with blush! Ever since I saw all the swatches of these single Bourjois blushes on A Vain Woman's blog I was so enticed to try these blushes as most of them have a beautiful pink, shady rose color which I'm in love with!

I've got three of these, rose ambre, rose de jaspe, lilas d'or, all rosy but of all various finishes. Check out (my review and swatches here) for those!

For the review and swatch of Brun Cuivre continue below!

Product!

This blush is of a lovely muted light peach brown, it has a somewhat satin finish which is so lovely and my favorite finish on the cheeks for a 'glowy' look. The consistency of the blush is very fine and even when applied with a rougher, denser animal hair brush as the baked product is hard a needs something to break the surface and get product out before you apply.

I find it no surprise that I love this much like the others I've picked up before. All Bourjois blushes, face powders and foundations smell flowery for those who don't know. Much like Chanels' products and blushes! However I decided to try something different as I always gravitate towards rosey pinks but have too many.

This shows up almost like a warm bronzer shade but it really gives a nice light peach gold sheen on the cheeks after several applications. I think I did at least 4 applications with a dense stiff blush brush before getting a color slightly darker than the swatch.

Bourjois little round pot blush in shade 03 Brun Cuivre!

Paid: UP $20.90 in singapore ($17 USD) but I bought this at a Bourjois counter in Cambodia for about $9 USD

Check out my beauty and skin care haul when I was in Cambodia! (check it out here!)

Repurchase: Totally but I need to stay away from the rosey pinks I love! I really want to pick up a bronzey shade which I've done so a few days ago! No more from Bourjois! The pinks all look too similar!

Recommend: For anyone with very fair to lightly tanned/beige skintones this would be a lovely muted peachy-golden brown blush. I need at least 4 applications of this for it to show up as a medium flush. You'd need a stiff bristled brush to get the best color pay out with Bourjois blushes.

Bottom line: Beautifully satin, I absolutely love this finish. With the need of a stiff blush brush from Sephora I can get a nice light flush of this on my lightly tanned complexion. If you're a fan of rosy shades, Bourjois is the brand to check out!

    1. They are pretty amazing! But you do need a stiff bristled brush to get the product! They're too easy to splurge on!

  4. I can't believe I only just found your blog- yay Singaporean pride! Where are you living atm? I love Bourjois blushes (if you can't tell from my incessant gushing about them on my blog hahaha) but I always overlook this shade! You make it sound so appealing, and your swatch is gorgeous! I kinda wish I'd bought this but as I have five of these I think I should be happy with my little collection! The stiff-bristled brush is a good idea, I always find myself using a cotton bud to unseal the top layer. I should get myself a stippling brush or something suitable to use with these! :) x
